I'm sharing my experience as a customer with Italist for so long. Italist always provide me a reliable feeling. The products' quality is great with a very competitive price. I'd like to say Italist is the site for luxury shopping!
I bought a air of white hogan shoes 5 months ago. The glow has start to melt little by litle and stained them indelibly. The deny it and turned us to hogan (Todsgroup), wich do not affirm not even the authenticity of the product!
According to european law, if a product proved to be defective in 6 monthes period, despite any policy of returns, the trader is obbligated to compensation (http://ec.europa.eu/consumers).

If you would like to return a $300 pr of pants for $100 then this site is for you. You also only get 14 days and the support team does not care to help. Only robotic responses and you can't talk to anyone. Good luck

We do charge for returns as stated on our policy and our product pages. The fees you see are an estimate that is calculated by an external provider.
Please note that returns cost much less than that thanks to our agreements with DHL and Italian Customs.

If you are an overseas customer and you wish to return an item to Italist your refund will be minus the shipping costs plus any local taxes. Getting the tax back here in Australia is virtually impossible so you will lose, not insignificantly, on the whole transaction. Try alternative online services for the product you want first where they manage the taxes and you will receive a total refund.

Wrong products received and you still have to pay the shipping fee to return it. Is this website illegal fundraising just by sending the wrong item and collecting shipping fee for returning the product? For about 240 dollars product you will have to pay 40 dollars to return it. Their online customer chat is an automatic robot! They set the chat to show that there is always two people in the line and by the time it gets to you, there is only automatic message telling you write emails to state your issues and will not reply AT ALL! By the way, they are only founded in Italy but definitely NOT NOT NOT located and ship from in Italy. THINK! What kind of online retailer website will continually emphasize their product is legitimate? THINK again! Italist has in season designer clothing for the BEST prices. These are the prices people go to Europe to pay and they're shipped to my house…FOR FREE! The shipping was so quick, i'm so happy with the purchase i bought. I got shoes, they were packaged beautifully :)

They bank on you not liking the item to rack up money in the return! I bought a bag with the model number directly from Fendi that matched the color of the item I wanted. The site had the same model number and color. I get the bag, it is laughable that the bag is what was advertised or that it is the bag model number. I send the custom service with pictures of the color on their site, a live picture from the Fendi store and the bag in my home. They ask for additional picture which I provide, They then send a email with my photos ALTERED with a photo app! Yes altered to be darker to match the actual bag. The letters and color other other items in the background are darker as well! I will never order from them AGAIN! Please look at what I am supposed to think is the same (correct bag) and the lighting from my computer/picture is slightly off. NEVER EVER AGAIN. I also reported them to BBB.

Please note that the email we sent in reply to you did not state that we alter the photos. Product photography depending on how an item is lit can sometimes affect the shade of a color. And yes, different computer screens, phones, or tablets can also affect the colors.

They charge you about 30% of your purchase to return and claim it's duties etc but I've never dealt with that massive of a return charge from other European sites.

The boutique in which your bag came from is one of the most reputable boutiques in Italy, which is part of the reason why we do business with them.
Also, please note, that due to the time frame since your purchase (ordered July 2021,) the tags have obviously been remove, which makes it difficult for us to identify the bag as an item that came from italist. With that, we can not offer any returns/refunds.

Please avoid buying from italist as they don't comply with the ecommerce regulations, instead they take a lazy way out by tempting you with low prices (which are actually not low at all as they add taxes in the shopping basket) but when you return an item, they take away over 30% of what you paid.
In my recent experience, I returned two items and that cost me €228, because they take the 20% custom fees (twice!) plus the return shipment. Yet, they misleadingly advertise that they only charge you €52 (they took 4 times more). WHAT A LIE. My complaint request was ignored. Such practices should be banned by ecommerce regulators. Italist - you should be ashamed of your customer service, learn from net-a-porter, outnet, yoox how to do ecommerce properly, if not too late. These brand will survive but you won't.

I prefer buying designer clothes only. Yeah, I heard a lot from m yfriends that I overpay for a brand, but it's my collection and only I can decide what to do with it. Nowaydays people bother a lot about what other people wear. They believe that if they express their opinion something might change. It's not like that.
