This software is so automated it's screening out well qualified applicants all the time. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FOR YOUR BUSINESS. An applicant recently applied for one of our positions and within hours got a rejection letter, Luckily the candidate contacted us directly and we were able to accommodate them in the hiring process. This has happened MANY times before.
I have used several different ATS and Jobvite is my favorite. It is easy to use, has great dashboards and reporting. I would recommend having a good plan on how you would like to use Jobvite, including recruitment process and what data you would like to get from the system. That way you can set it up optimally. I particularly like the tasks so that I can set reminders for myself and others to contact candidates or follow something up.
It's very frustrating when you don't know if the message you are sending as a hiring manager or a candidate will get to the other side. Something that we as a society are used to by 2017 is that simple messaging tools do their jobs reliably - Jobvite hasn't been able to do that.
I got stuck with Jobvite while I was a hiring manager at two prior companies. I honestly hated it. Logging in was a chore. Filtering through applicants and looking at my candidate pool took multiple clicks and was super slow/ frustrating. My recruiter could never get anyone from my team to put feedback in the system, partly because the feedback forms we had to fill in didn't match the role. At all. And I couldn't find people that I was sure were supposed to be in our pipeline.
Have been using this system for over 1 year now and still cannot stand it. It is the primary tool I need to use and it is very frustrating. During my annual review this year, my manager asked my hiring managers for feedback on my performance and when they responded they also gave her feedback on how horrible Jobvite is. Job descriptions aren't able to be saved and need to be pasted in each time you post a position. Offer letters need to be downloaded and then uploaded in order to make and save changes. Its too manual. The system we had previously was 10,000 times better and I wish we could go back.
As a hiring manage who is *not* part of HR, I was able to see Jobvite from a different angle. I found it easy to work with and was able to effectively collaborate with the HR contacts assigned to my positions. We could easily see the status of each candidate, comment, etc. I like working in Jobvite.
I am an HR Recruiter for a multi-channel marketing and product development company specializing in labor law, HR and tax solutions that create a bridge between what the law requires and what makes sense for businesses. We have large volumes of applications through Jobvite's system and have found it to be an extremely simple way to organize our candidates applications. What a great system to use starting from the application process to the interviewing process to hiring and filling the position and even once the employee is employed. Their customer service and online help tools are great. We have weekly webinars with an account manager who talks us through any updates or problems we're experiencing and allows us to ask questions along the way. I would recommend Jobvite to all Recruiters and HR Professionals looking for a great simple to use ATS.
Jobvite is a great web-based ATS solution for employers looking for a company-branded career page that also offers ATS functionality. They are a great option if you are looking to tap into the social and mobile recruiting platforms, offering easy integration with job boards and social sites such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Jobvite helps you manage your recruiting process from beginning to end, helping you to make your process more efficient and effective by offering data-driven analytics.
Overall, we have been really pleased with the functionality of Jobvite, and would recommend to others looking for a similar solution.
Overall, we've had a decent transition over to Jobvite. It is our organization's first ATS and we purchased Engage at the same time. With Hire, the functionality of reporting and integration with gcal and gmail has been invaluable to our team. The formatting for our job board is finicky, but functional. However, customer service was mixed until we found a dedicated person to help us. Once we found her, she's been great!
With Engage, we were sold a product that didn't work as promised. (The job notification feature does not work and the "seamless" integration with Hire wasn't working - resumes were not transferring). Customer service complaints have gone unresolved for months. Emails with people on the Engage team have not been responded to. So while I'd recommend Hire, I would think twice before purchasing Engage.
Overall, Jobvite is a good platform. The video interview is one of my favorite features--it has really helped us screen candidates before inviting them for interviews. And the interface is aesthetically more appealing than other similar systems I've worked with. That said, I've had a few issues with Jobvite, including emails sent through the system going to spam folders, where applicants never find them. I also find myself clicking around Jobvite A LOT, and the pages load slowly (granted, this could be an issue with my company's wifi). For example, I wish there was a way for me to easily navigate back to a requisition page from a candidate's page without having to click at least two times. Another thing is that my coworkers just don't seem motivated to use the Jobvite feature, which is a huge part of the Jobvite platform. Maybe we're a too-small company to really take advantage of it, but I also had a problem where the links in my Employee Jobvite weren't indicating which employee had made a referral, and that issue was never resolved by Jobvite support (and more recently, Employee Jobvites started throwing up spam/phishing warning messages in my coworkers' inboxes). I've had great success speaking with Jobvite support people via chat, and I really appreciate that function. Finally, it would be VERY helpful if I were able to change the workflow for a position on my own. Having to go through Jobvite support is a real pain and time waster.
As I said, I enjoy using Jobvite overall, and I understand that it's a very complicated platform with a lot of moving parts. I wonder whether creating a version of Jobvite for small businesses would make sense--there are so many functions I don't use, simply because my company has less than 50 employees and they're irrelevant to us. I'd love a more streamlined version.
So far I have found Jobvite user friendly. There are a few small changes I would like to see made, for example: being about to see hired employees resumes after they start. I am not the main Admin. I use Jobvite for the HR function and am unable to go back to Jobvite to view even my resume. Overall, great customer service and I am happy with the service
I work for a company who has large volumes of applications through Jobvite's system. I have found it extremely easy to use, from applications through to hiring. Their customer service is great. We have weekly meetings with an account manager who lets us know any new features, talks us through any problems we're experiencing and allows us to ask more in depth questions. I would recommend any company considering using them as their ATS.
I love that Jobvite has great social media integration and makes it easy to share job openings with my network!
I use Jobvite everyday as my company's chosen ATS. I think Jobvite's updates have made the product more intuitive and useful on a daily basis. I wish there was a capacity to customize the homepage and move the different boxes around based on what I use the most. Besides that, I am happy with the internal platform communication and scheduling, as well as the ability to stay organized with the use of filtered search.
UI is not intuitive, or pleasant.
Formatting job descriptions is a mess - gets messed up easily and is a headache to sort out.
Workflow makes it difficult to move canddiates around req's easily.
No easy way to see summary of candidate's info (job history, education) in a pipeline.
Reporting is difficult from here.
- Flexible and allows user to be in control of most things, not much support needed from customer service
- Easy to use, customize and manage candidates
- Would be nice if there were more filtering options to find candidates that better match the job description
I've found that as a user, Jobvite isn't as customizable or as intuitive as I'd prefer. Some functions that would make my life a whole lot better either require a customer service rep to set up or simply don't exist. However, one of their support representatives has been extremely helpful whenever I call in- unfortunately (fortunately for him), he has been promoted and will no longer be answering my calls.
We've been using Jobvite for 2 years and have been very pleased. The Jobvite referral system is especially easy to use and we've had great success with our employee's sharing out our jobs on various social media platforms!
We have recently converted to Jobvite and have been really happy with the social media capabilities and ease of use of the product. IT is very quick and easy to post open requisitions and to move candidates through the work flow. It also makes it easy to collect information directly to the candidate's record, such as reference check responses.
Have a great experience using Jobvite, love the fact that it so seamlessly connects with outlook and calendar and keeps everything so organized..
