I replaced the TN panel on my Acer latop with IPS panel. I initially looked at Ebay and Amazon where the prices were very competitive but seller ratings were mixed and the product listings were hard to search through to find a screen that is guaranteed fit and almost impossible to look for upgrade options. Laptopscreen, com website made it very easy to find the replacement laptop screen and also offered upgrade options that are a guaranteed fit. I chose the high gamut upgrade which was $10 more but it was well worth it as the panel has deep blacks and the colors really pop. Overall very satisfied with purchase even though the price was more than other alternatives. Only thing I would improve is the packaging. The panel was in a bubble wrap inside a box but bubble wrap does not prevent panel from moving around in the box and hitting the edges resulting in the soft metal mounting tabs on the panel edges being bent. They had to be straightened for the install.
I've returned my product and still didn't receive the money. I have proof that I send it but they just say that they don't have it. It's been 3 weeks and it still didn't receive any money. They refuse to send the money even with the proof, now I have nothing and lost $92. One big scam.
Wouldn't recommend this company! Ordered 2 cell phone screens, paid in full including GST and PST. DHL then contacted me looking for clearance fees of $23.80. LaptopScreen advised that it was probably duty owed. Called DHL... said it was GST owing, not duty... BUT I HAD ALREADY PAID THE GST! LaptopScreen only willing to refund GST and not DHL charges and then arbitrarily cancelled my order. DHL / LaptopScreen scam?

Here's the bottom line. Apparently LaptopScreen International knows there is a very high likelihood of "double-charged taxes" being collected at the border but doesn't disclose this to their customers. Why... because, no doubt they would lose business. Who in their right mind would order a product from them knowing they would have to pay these taxes a second time in addition to the service and processing charges by DHL and then only be refunded the GST... probably no one.
As far as LaptopScreen Internationals claim that I was requesting not only the GST but all the duties charged is absurd. I never in any correspondence with them requested a refund of duties payed as I was never charged any duties on my purchase. All I requested was the GST ($6.48) and the DHL charges ($17.32) to collect this double-tax at the border. Seemed pretty reasonable request to me, but not with LaptopScreen International, and that's when I advised them of my actions going forward if they weren't forthcoming with my reasonable request.
So that there is no confusion to what I am claiming (which differs from LaptopScreen's interpretation) I have attached the CBSA tax form and DHL's invoice.

As a Canadian company headquartered in Vancouver BC, we are required by the Canadian Revenue Agency & the Ministry of Finance of BC to charge GST and PST to ALL orders sold into Canada/BC. We refund all double-charged taxes if for any reason they are collected at the border by the delivering courier, but only once we can obtain proof of taxes paid, such as a scan of the duties paid receipt. We must charge tax even if we suspect that taxes maybe charged at the border as per CRA guidance and audit.
Customer placed an order for two iPhone screens out of our Vegas, USA warehouse - the closest location where they were available at the time. Customer was made aware that the order will be coming over the border and will have importation duties owned. Customer's portion of the GST was only 1/4 of the duties owed and we were willing to refund it. Customer demanded that all cross-border fees be waived, not just the GST portion and threatened to write negative reviews, file chargeback and take us to small claims court. In view of these threats we have issued a full refund for the customer's order and redirected the parcel to our Vancouver warehouse, effectively purchasing our own inventory and paying GST/PST on our "purchase", as well as absorbing the cross-border shipping costs and duties.
Customer walked away with a full refund.

Orderd the screen from the netherlands and received the screen in 2 or 3 days. When the screen arrived the numbers on the screen did not match. Called the customer service and the automated bot said it would take a fwe minutes, but it like 2 seconds for somone to help me. Was kindly helped and told that it should not matter and that the screen was compatible with my laptop. Screen works perfect!

So i ordered the screen about 2 weeks ago. The shipment arrived fairly quickly despite the corona issues.
I will give it a 4 star instead of the 5 stars because the colors are slightly off. Its very bright and the blacks are not so deep with quite a bit of light bleed. It doesnt seem like the very original screen. I was hoping for a very nice original screen.
Anyway it works. I really hoped that it could match the one that i had originally.

My laptop screen was fickering at times and had the lines through it and was fading... all intermittently over a period of about 3 months. My teenage daughter told me to look up a video and see if we could just buy and replace it ourselves. I looked it up and it looked easy enough, except for having to take it apart first to get the screen # which is only on the back of the screen itself. So we did this, and on while it was undone, we found Laptopscreen had our screen number, so we ordered it. Right after ordering, we put the other screen back on the laptop so I could still use it until the new screen got here. Funny thing was that once back together, the screen worked great; i then assumed it was the littel plug connection that when putting back together maybe had been loose. SO I called Laptopscreen immediately and told the gentleman what happened and he was able to cancel the order right away no worries.
Then 3 weeks later, the screen was acting up again. I called back Laptopscreen and told the gentleman what happened and asked if I they still had my info/screen number in the system so I didnt have to look it up again. Happily they did, and I was able to go into my account and just click reorder. WHile on the phone, he added that if the new screen didnt work, it would probably be the "pin connector" cord. It made me feel that he actually cared to help me get my screen back working instead of just telling me to take it somewhere or get a new laptop.
