Lowe's has a wonderful selection and particularly nice employees who go out of their way to help.
I always buy my lumber from Lowe's. They often have sales and it's easy to access through the garden section.
We bought a home and have had many projects, one of which is replacing doors. I called them after my bad experience with Home Depot and because of what we had gone through, they did the estimate at no charge. Our installer was Steve, who is one of the nicest, laid back guys I've ever met. He and his assistant did a wonderful job on all doors, and Lowe's calls back to make sure everything went okay. If we buy more lumber than we need (or anything) they gladly take back the leftover. They also give a military discount, which adds up.
I have had to go to the Lowe's store in Alachua, FL a zillion times for different needs as we build a house. The appliance dept. and Son, one of the employees has gone above and beyond helping us. Even the delivery people for the appliances were great - as our original w/d combo. Wouldn't fit, so we had to return. We have gotten so many items from them and their return policy is great; they have a special way of tracking all your receipts if you sign up for a special card---great idea.
They and home despot go to manufacturers and have items made cheaply just for them, do NOT ever buy ANY faucets from them, especially NOT Moen! The warranties are USELESS as Moens made for bLowes and Home Despot are cheap knock offs made by a 3rd party in indonesia for bLowes! $300 faucet lasted 4 months, lowes gave us the run around, Moen would NOT repair or replace it, we were out $400! Same goes with ceiling fans, they only sell items from certain manufacturers and not all home improvement product manufacturers, only the ones who WILL make knock off cheaper just for them is what they sell! Do yourself a favor, only buy from a REAL lumber yard/hardware store/plumbing supply house!
They usually have the better prices and the most trustworthy staff.
This is my favorite store of all! I have never shopped on line with them, however have spent many hours in store. Could spend days! They have the coolest stuff! A little pricie on some things, but so much ''stuff'.
I recently purchased a bathroom vanity including the granite top for less that $300 and it is beautiful and high quality for a low price, when you go to the gardening sections it is always WONDERFUL! The plants are the best!
The employees are helpful and friendly, you can always find somebody. Unlike other places:)
Thanks Lowes!
I usually shop for the kind of items Lowes's sells at Home Depot to get a better price but I have and do occasionally shop at Lowes just to get something different or in a category where Lowes has a better or more stylish selection. For example we bought some molded ponds there and an electronic door lock, but I never even look in its lumber section. Eagle Hardware though was even better until it went out of business. The same rule that applies to Home Depot applies here though. If you want to buy just a few screws, nuts or bolts and might even need help finding which one matches what you bring you are much better off going to typical hardware store, even Ace Hardware and we like also a store that specialized in nuts and bolts of all kinds. I use Amazon.com to buy odd sizes of duct such as 5 inch ductwork to replace what was on a an old installation. Lowes does a better job of presentation of products than many of its competitors in terms of display.
For a while, they were giving Home Depot a good run for their money, but somewhere along the line, they seem to have given up. Their prices, products, services, etc just are not living up to the standards they originally seemed to have set for themselves. Maybe they'll come back but Home Depot is still king.
Looking at house plans are one of my wife's hobbies. She really liked this book. There are big houses and small ones.
Their employee decided to insult and ridicule me when I asked about a Veteran's discount. I have not set foot inside a Lowes since that day, and I never will.
I enjoy looking a home plans and dreaming of when I will be building my next dream home. There were a lot of plans/ideas contained in this bound book. They were easy to look at and the book stores nicely on a bookshelf. Book was well packaged and arrived fast.
We do a lot of rental work and this is the place that has all we need in supplies. Come spring I go nuts buying my flowers, ferns are beautiful each year. Great place to shop. What is so nice is they honor the veterans card and we save a lot of money using that. A lot of people don! T know that if you have a VA. Card you save 10% on every purchase.
So amazing all the stuff they have in there and the people working there So helpful
Rarely a problem. Always has what i want. Go to the garden dept almost weekly to get plants and flowers.
They give a 10% discount to veterans. Good servive and good prices. I recommend this business to all especially to veterans.
I use their website to put my order together then I can just go to customer service and all my items are pulled and waiting for me. Saves me a ton of time... and as they say time is money.
Answer: They aren't a s cam but their incompetency will make you pay extra for shopping with them
Answer: Same here and Lowes is no help! All they tell me is there is a delay, sorry
Answer: The price will be less but you will overpay with your time
Answer: If you contract with Lowe's, Lowe's is the general contractor. You signed the contract with Lowe's, not with his subcontracted retailer or installer. Lowe's will try to push the responsibility downstream and require you to take it up with him, but in the end, Lowe's is responsible.
