The company faces significant challenges in customer satisfaction and service reliability, as numerous reviews highlight issues such as unexpected charges, poor communication, and inadequate customer support. Many customers express frustration over billing discrepancies and difficulties in reaching live assistance, leading to perceptions of the company as untrustworthy. While some drivers receive praise for their service, the overall sentiment indicates a growing dissatisfaction with the app's functionality and the company's handling of complaints. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness and address billing transparency.

Never got to speak to a live person. Uber on the other hand answered the phone in 4 minutes. Lyft needs to improve on live customer help
Hello Everyone,
Wasn't expecting such a wonderful ride home from Hyundai on N.E. 2nd and 20th street. Mr. Luis is truly a gentleman, I wish him well in his endeavors. He is vey courteous, he doesn't speak English well but my Spanish is not to good either. We conversed anyway, what a bread human being.
Get stuck up people who want phone charger, additional stops, pick up drunk and hi people, even get logged out of smart $#*! rider claims your drunk. Then they give you one star. And can't remove bad ratings and world is not full a nice people pure waste of time. Thanks for sad experience
The customer service agents should do humanity some service by quitting their jobs and working for what's more suitable to their self interests. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Any stars above 0 is a scam.
I scheduled a ride 2 days ahead of time since it was going to be 11:45 a.m. (my lunch hour). I had no time to waste. I waited 25 minutes and no one showed up. Left me stranded. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO NEEDS A RESPONSIBLE PERSON TO PICK THEM UP!
On 10/02/23 Lyft canceled 4 rides on me less than 30 seconds and also canceled on me 10/03/23 for no reason and now the holding my money that's so crazy and a ripped off you can't even talk to a live person what a shame for such a big corporation
On the most recent ride, I selected a standard ride and chose to wait. The initial cost estimate was shown as below $60. After the car arrived, the price jumped to over $100 without notifying me on the app or any explanations. I saw that only when I scroll the app quite down to the end. I've been taking the same route multiple times at different times of the day, including peak hours, during the past few months. This particular ride was taken during the mid-day on Friday, which was not at peak hours at all. In the end, this ride was 40% or more higher than any of my previous rides.
Lyft does not provide a customer service phone number, so I filled a form on their website to dispute the charge. They replied the email very very slow, usually took a few days to send a reply, and they always repeated the same line: "I reviewed your ride and can confirm that you were not overcharged. " After I sent my last email with the copies of all my past ride on the same route and asked for their explanation why 40% higher is not overcharged 7 days ago, they never replied to me anymore.
So I learned that lyft can charge you any amount of money with a lousy excuse that "you were not overcharged", and they do not provide a way for you to talk to them. So as a customer, we are doomed.
It's a really awful experience, and I will never ride Lyft again. And I will share this with all my friends and my social network.
The very worst customer service I have ever experienced. It's no been 4 days and they've done NOTHING regarding my lost phone. Never again.
You drive for them for 5 mile and get 5$
2.5 to get the customer and 2.5 to drop off and 15 driving plus waiting so this is almost 20 min and you get 5$ if you lucky and dont search for tips so now you making 15$ an hour with out adding your spending of gas and mileage on your car lets say you pay for your insurance and monthly payment i think this is just a waste of time and some times they give you 4$ for a 9$ trip i dont know why this dum still working drivers should make a union for their own wrights
Lyft driver canceled ride my husband had ordered to SeaTac airport while we were asleep and our phone was turned off. We found out at 6 am. Next car would have come an hour later -- or maybe not at all? Cost us a hefty parking fee as we had to drive our own car to the airport and pay for 3-weeks of parking or miss our flight. Never again!
From my personal experience, this company only looks out for themselves and the riders. There have been so many instances where I should have gotten paid more because the trip for one reason or another extended longer due to car accident and being stuck and other situations similar. They will not compensate you for that time. Today I remained on a ride that should have only been 30 minutes and instead was 3 hours and 15 minutes. I was only getting $17 to begin with and I ended the ride with $34. After 3 ¼hours of being stuck on the highway due to an accident which caused the highway to be blocked off. All I got from Lyft was "oh well that happens". They don't look out for you. Even though they take a lot from you and only cover you with the cheapest insurance that we have to pay a high deductible on if we were in an accident. My advice is do not drive for lyft. They do not look out for you they do not care. Considering all the time you lose and other trips that you lost and all the money that you lost they do not care. If your time runs over the amount that they expected you to take they only give you 10 cents a minute. You can run your AC and have your car running your battery running and being the best driver for the rider and giving them a decent experience and at the end of the day nothing else matters. They treat you like you work for them. That's not how these businesses are supposed to be ran. We are self-employed. I think all drivers need to get together and demand higher pay and demand some of these policies to change. Because it's our money that pays lyft not the other way around. They are employed because of us! They don't pay out all bonuses that are supposed to be paid out. When you accept reservations, they'll change the amount you get paid after you complete the trip. Lyft is run by crooks.
Be aware to be sometimes falsely accused of allegations that can cause your account to be on hold for a whole week mean you're missing out on money not able to drive. And they do not compensate you. The only thing they do is say sorry. They have the worst worst worst customer service ever specially when it comes to communication they definitely need to learn some pointers and tips from Chick-fil-A. Their email is the worst and they do not call. Uber does a much better job with response.
There is no way to speak or email support and any support through the app is limited.
The poor support model makes the service untrustworthy and unmanageable.
I reserved a Lyft the night before to take me to the airport. On the app it showed the driver was on their way with a 10 minute window. The ride never showed up. You have no way of contacting the company. Worst experience! I would NEVER use them again!'
This app steals your money and the driver was money hungry fool. Don't trust them. You can't reach anyone to help resolve your issues
I was a driver for Lyft for four years.5.0 rating and over ******* rides.i was terminated from the Lyft platform because I passenger for some reason said I texted her and sent inappropriate video.for one you can never get the passengers real number so the only way that would have happened is if she gave me her actual number.and Lyft said it was elidged.how can a company fire someone with no prouf and say it was elidged. But you know God always has a plan.I would not recommend anyone driving for Lyft, there a joke and they dont pay you enough for what you deal with.
I had an encounter with a rude driver he told me very disrespectful things and made me feel so unsafe and uncomfortable.when I went to tell customer service they didnt help at all and sided with him all they did was tell me they wont put me with him
Left person car tried to call driver 25 seconds after I exited car. Driver refuse to answer phone. Tried to text driver. Driver refused to answer text. Called helpline emailed the helpline did everything I could to reach out to Lyft. Could not reach anyone at Lyft could not reach anyone at Lyft help phone numbers useless emails useless is the most useless health center I have ever dealt with.
I had to switch to lift since Uber often cancelled my trips at the last minute when it's high demand. Lyft charged half the price of Uber. The drivers were all very friendly and I felt safe. Awesome service from Lyft with safety in mind
Ride scheduled the day before for am medical appointment. Didn't show, support said, "unforseen technical problems." 1st & last Lyft order.
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
Answer: Lyft's customer service is terrible. If they won't correct it, file a dispute with your credit card company.
