Started with Geetha Sharma, then taken outrageously by Gurjot kaur, then by Ashim Rana and then tortured by Lata Rawat, Suman and again by Geetha Sharma. Geetha Sharma was so rude that she started blaming me for no mistake of mine. Their customer service is very sluggish. This all happened for one simple flight from Chicago to Mumbai. Faded the colors of Indian Customer service. Outrageous and heinous. Genuinely do not book with them... Try Airline's website or local agencies like novatravels. They respond much better and also treat you with respect. We are customer and customers are always right even if we commit mistakes, it is their responsibility to treat us good, they are at our feet, not us. Beware of MAKEMYTRIP. If u want a good experience do not do through Makemytrip.

They are the worst people I have dealt with. They made the trip hell for my elderly parents who were travelling alone to India. The agent who booked my parents for this trip booked for them separate Internation and Domestic sectors. So when my parents took the connecting flight within India they had to pay Rs. 6000/kg as domestic extra baggage fees ( which came out to almost $500 each way). As some of you may know that travelling international you are allowed 2 bags 50lbs (23kg) each but in domestic they would allow my parents to carry only 1 bag 44lbs It is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. My parents are american citizens and for them to be able to carry international baggage till India and then pay for the rest was stupid on the part of the airlines. They lost almost $1000 over this fuss.

And they had the nerve to blame my parents for this mistake that we did not consider that.

And they have the worst customer service I can imagine everyone puts you on hold for almost 30 minutes minimum.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. IF I HAD ANYTHING LESS THAN A STAR I WOULD RATE THAT

Please beware while buying tickets from Makemytrip, I recently had a very-2 bad experience purchasing tickets from them. I had a death in the family due to which I had to travel from USA to India same day. Agent knew my urgency and lied that there is only one emergency seat left in flight and sold me the ticket for $3550. I booked the ticket,

Clearly with my situation I wasn't thinking right. I later on found from another travel agent (suggested by my friend) that for the exact same flight there were many more tickets available. That travel agent also checked my booked makemytrip reservation with Airline and found that actual ticket price was $1400 and rest was charged as service fees by the agent. After talking many times with MakeMyTrip, they keep on saying we will refund your money, but have not refund my money so far.

Plz Do Not Ever Book Through MakeMyTrip... They are horrible!

I tried booking a flight ticket through MakeMyTrip.com yesterday. It was an urgent booking which did not go through but they charged my card against a booking id NF*******332... wow... they have the audacity to charge the card, generate the booking ID but say that 'the booking is not confirmed'. The message displayed on the website after the payment page said that 'due to unavailability of seats your tickets cannot be confirmed'. I was zapped to see that the seats and the same fare that I was trying to book was still available even after several hours. Called up customer care but did not get any help... they are horrible, unprofessional people. They said that due to a 'technical error' I was still able to see the particular fare online but the seats were actually not available. I wasted almost 4 hours on phone with them to sort this out... They promised a callback which never came... They are conducting business in a shady and most unprofessional manner... misleading the customers and then not even bothering to assist them. I would not suggest anyone to book through them... Please consider other travel companies and do not ever try MakeMyTrip... You'll just be wasting your time and money... these guys are least bothered... I guess they have more on their plate than they can chew which has made them unprofessional and highly irresponsible. I wish I could also paste all the screenshots here that I took to prove what a shady company they are... The so called 'special fare' is still very much available online and they are still fooling & harassing countless customers through their 'ever so inefficient website.'
If any of you have had a similar bitter experience then do share it with as many people as you can... it might help a lot of them.

Please beware of Makemytrip. Here is my worst history.
I booked 3 tickets from bangalore to my Trivandrum for my grandamas death.
I booked on Jan 13th for 10.30pm flight around 11 am
The same day.
Makemy trip says its confirned and they agreed i will receive etickets with in 2 hours thru email.
I did not receive any mails till 5 pm even after following up heavily with makemytrip. Then I asked makemytrip whether I have atleast teh ticket confirmed, so that I can check with Jetairways.
They said I can talk to Jetairways once I reach airpot. I called Jetairways they said nothing is booked for my name. I was shocked. I asked them whether tickets are available, they said its available. SO I went and cancelled the ticket and booked thru jetwairways. Anyways same cost the ticket was. Note: my flight is in 10.30 pm and makemytrip never repsonded even after I said I need to travel to aiport which will take nearly 2 hrs from my place. They made me frustrated heavily.
Next another issue regarding payments. They took the money for 3 tickets, after cancelling they need to refund. They refuncded also the next day. I was happy that atleast they refunded on time. But sudennly today they debited 9000 from my account. I dont know whether and what for this is deducted. I am still fighting for my amount.

Please note this is for every on who reads this. Please dont go for makemytrip. There is no sure for your money and eticket. Better choose some airline website. Not the vendor sites.

I booked a flight from USA to india. Called the customer service line to book it. Guy named Ishneet takes my request - i ask for Jet Airways, he says the total price is over $2500 (this is busy season it says). I am about to keep the phone, he says he just "found" better deal, another airline.

After i go thru that offer I finally take the $1950 ticket and pay for it.

Surprise! Next day i chk their own website and Jet Airways route as i had requested is not just available it is just abt $50 more than the rate i paid. I would have gladly paid that amount. The fraudster just pushed me to probably a route that was better for him/his company/whatever.

Dont trust these guys, I am NEVER going here again!

Ive come to a conclusion that this is not an actual travel website... its probably a few jerkoffs that put up a website and they are booking the flights just like me of you would do it. Thus the reason for no refunds, they keep the money if you have to cancel it. I am going to make it my own mission to get them out of business asap. These are the kind of people that make us Indians look bad. This is unaceptable behaviour.

I had an extreme bad experience with makemytrip.com. They deducted money from my bankaccount and did not give me the e-ticket. Every time I call, they will make me wait and disconnect the call - PATHETIC SERVICE. Different times they will come up with different stories - payment is on the way, payment has been made, payment has been cancelled. I talked with Taranpal, Sangeeta and their supervisor Pankaj - and everytime i am being told some stupid stories and they make me wait and then disconnect the call. I am facing utter harassment by makemytrip.com - they are wasting my time like anything. Not sure whether I will ever receive my e-ticket or whether I will ever get the refund.

An indian site with indian attitude. No customer orientedness. The reps doesn't know talking at all. Most of the time they have same phrase when they don't have any answer. Also, often they blam the software that it is not working, delaying the process of booking so that customer end up paying more because they missed the window of opportunity and this is all because of software glitch. Why don't they fix the software which always has glitch. They don't have call tracking system so that a customer can refer when the rep says- "I wil call you back in 10 min" and never calls you back.

This is the worst website in the whole world. I called MMT and ask them to change my travel date. The rep asked my for my PNR number and after looking at he said that one of the domestic airline which happened to be my connecting airline is "Non -operational, hence my ticket is not fully confirmed and hence no changes can be made. The reason why I had to change my tickets was my grand father was in a major car accident and was in ICU and he wanted to see me one last time. I told MMT guys that please hurry up and they said it will be done in 24 hours. I called them after 24 hours, they said it is going to take 7 days for me to get the updated tickets and there is nothing they can do, I asked them can I cancel this ticket, they said NO I cannot because the tickets are not confirmed...
The MMT people can speak proper english will not even apologies for their incompetence. Hopefully this review will help some one to avoid unnecessary stress that MT people had put me through.

makemytrip.com people are poorly organized when it comes to holiday packages. They mention some other Hotel in voucher and will make you stay in a haunted hotel and say that your rooms have been alloted to someone else. Worst nightmare I ever had. Had to wait in the reception with the kids till they alloted rooms in the menioned hotel in an Unknown city were we came for vacation..

Hi all,

I want make you all aware to be careful while booking through Makemytrip.com.

I booked continental airlines tickets for four at makemytrip.com from Newark
To Mumbai. They also assigned me the seats are requested by me.

Until four days I was not issued the ticket. I kepf following up with them for the tickets and everytime I got the reply that there was some issue in the system at makemytrip.com and that the etickets will be issued shortly.

Finally, on the fifth day, the booking was eticketed but i was surprised when I saw that the seat assignments were not longer there. Just out of curiosity, I checked my reservation and seat availability on continental.com where I was shocked to see that the requested seats were no more available.

When I called makemytrip.com, the customer care guys didn't care about the issue and shamelessly kept on telling me to take whichever seats were available.
I was travelling with two small children and these people wanted us to sit at different places. Highly unprofessional!

One can understand even after booking it sufficiently before and after been assigned the seats, all fo a sudden you get this type of reply and you are left with no choice.

Moreover, makemytrip.com is not ready to accept their mistake and refusing to take the responsibility.

Simply screw'd up service with no accountability, whatsoever.

I advise everyone to be extra careful about your reservations if you are planning to book it at makemytrip.com

Unfortunately I have used the services of Makemytrip for the first time - and surely and certainly the last time. I booked a holiday to leh and i have no confirmation even the day before my travel. My payment is lying with them for over a month now and the stupid "customer irritating officers" do not know what to say. Instead of them contacting me, i have followed up for a week now to no avail.
I have had better experience backpacking and making my own plans.

For those who care to have a happy holiday -- AVOID makemytrip.com

Tickets bouhgt online not confirmed tickets, customer service asking 175.00 more for the same ticket and on top of it refuse to refund the money.
Always lower fares dsiplayed and not able to confirm the booking, but we get call from someone in india, who is not realy in to this ticket bookings experienced.

Please friends. I'm begging everyone... all indian friends and other countries friends in case if you plan to use make my trip to book your tickets that is going to be disaster in your life. Please do not do that. This is only worrest company I ever had bad experience with their customer service. All idiots are there... they are fools... please please plase please please please do not buy tickets from them. We will be in trouble

When I made a booking on their site, I was given a confirmation. That was followed by an email that because of "technical" difficulties the booking did not go through. That was followed up by a call from them a few days later asking for more money ($50) to book me on the same flights. That was followed up a week later saying that they were unable to issue the ticket, but if I agreed to pay more(about $200), then could put me on alternate flights. Their alternate flights sucked and so I asked them to cancel the whole booking. 20 days later I still have no refund on my credit card. They cannot even give me a status on my credit refund because their systems are being upgraded. I call it a pathetic excuse. I have no complaints about the staff at MMT, I just think that their processes and their systems are horrible. Any reputed travel agent would have honoured my original price and put me on alternate flights. Or atleast issued my refund. Dont expect that from MMT.

Never make a mistake using this site. They offer you deals that make your trips become nightmares. Lease you stranded in an unknowen City. Do not refund your money. Never return phone calls related to problems. Their supervisors are never available. Everytime you call and make a complaint you have to start over.
