One of the reasons why i always ended up booking my flight tickets via make my trip was that it shows up first in the list of google search. I had made a couple of bookings using this site earlier, but never realised how bad their after sales service was because i never had to modify/cancel my bookings. And this time, whn i had to chnge my flight dates due to an emergency, i had the worst nightmare of my life! I had to spend more than 2 and half hours on call just to get the dates changed. One of the most funny and equally annoying part that happened was that none. Mind my words- "NONE" of the respresentatives i spoke to had any idea about how to help me. I had called them 4 times to get the date change done and all the 4 times they kept transferring my call from one person to another with one same statement "allow me to tranfer your call to the concerned department" and guess what, it took me 4calls and almost 2.5hours to reach the "CONCERNED DEPARTMENT". There were times when my call was actually transferred to the same person again and again after he/she had already tranferred the call to another representative. I actually felt like that "PARCEL" in passing the parcel game!
I mean seriously? The app doesnt work, the website is crap, i cannot rely on calls to seek help, how the hell does a customer approach u?
Morever, the staff was extremely clueless about the penalty charges as everyone who picked up the call gave me different rates each time.
Worst online experience i have ever had, will never use this site again. And i will make sure that i stop everyone whom i can from using this site as well.
Stay away from this fraudster company. They display falsified messages about cancellation refunds on their systems. Extremely unfriendly service and cheating all the way! Lost money and peace of mind as well because of them. Hope thye shut down.
The policies about date changes are **ABSURD** to say the least. The agent helping us to do the booking did tell us that there would be a Fee for any date changes but when I did have to change the date I did not realize that the I ended up paying 85% of the original value of my ticket. So there will never be a **NEXT TRIP** for me from make my trip
It is not only enough to verify about make my trip but it is also mandatory to verify their partner teams especially for new places. They do but tension till last minute. Better verify the responsibility and quality of their partner teams before deciding,

I booked my tickets for chennai kolkatta on 24th February'15 and return also same date for travel in the month of march and April. Subsequently i got an sms from spicejet that my return ticket chennai kolkatta which is booked for 6th april'15 departure@6.05 has been postponed to 9.00. I was forced to cancel because if i take the 9.00 flight i will miss my attendance in college and hence i cancelled the same on 22nd March well in advance and subsequently spicejet also confirmed my cancellation and they said the refund amount will be approximately Rs. 3699/-. I also cancelled the same on makemytrip also and since then it is more than a month i have not got any response from your end. Whenever i call the call centre they say either their system not working nor it is on upgrading and come out with silly lame excuses. But i am really surprised when i want to make a booking immdtly they take and thir system will be working absolutely fine.
Pls let me know if you have any intention of refunding the amount or not otherwise i will put this publicly and will be forced to go legal as other customers says that makemytrip is known for cheating and dont refund the amount to customers at all and refund has never been in the history of makemytrip.
Am trying to escalate the issue in step 2 and it is not accepting or i dont know if it is designed like this.
Surprisingly they say that my refund amount of 260 has been credited to my account and after thorugh checking from my end and from their end that the same has also not been done. It is a smarter way of cheating customers.

I booked 3 booking with make my trip for my return journey from kolkata to shirdi via mumbai.
My booking id s with make my trip are

Which include return flight, hotel and bus bookings.
But due to some unavoidable circumstances, i had to cancel my booking about a month ago my journey.
From then on, for last 2 months, i have repeatedly written to make my trip to refund my money: they are assurring me that i shall get it by 7 days and sometimes not even answering my prayer.
I am in deep mental agony and would suggest everyone not to book with this cheter company.
Sold me two itineraries with canceled flights, not two in one order, but two different orders. Charged full price then put on hold for hours trying to get refund. Possibly the worst service everever.
MakeMyTrip has a pathetic customer care and complaint management system. For a simple issue of partial cancellation(Had 3 passengers on original flight, and wanted to modify the date for 1 of those), MakeMyTrip is not responding at all, despite me following up and escalating the issue for the past 9 days. Here's what happened:
1. I call up MMT, tell them I need to modify 1 of 3 passengers on the same flight. After being redirected to multiple customer care reps and being put on hold for long, I am told MMT can't do this and I must contact JetAirways.
2. I call JetAirways - the person says he'll separate the PNR of the 1 person, after which MMT would be able to modify the booking of that person. I'm asked to contact MMT with the new PNR he gave me.
3. On MMT's online portal, I now only see 2 passengers. The 3rd passenger with the new PNR is no longer visible under bookings to modify online.
4. I call MMT, describe whole issue and tell them the new PNR. He cannot see the 3rd passenger as well and doesn't know what to do. I'm redirected to someone else. Again describe whole issue. Again redirected now to MMT's supposed "JetAirways Expert". The MMT Expert tells me their servers are down, call after 2 hours! This, after 1 whole hour on the phone.
5. So I call after 3 hours. "Our servers are still down, please call after 4-5 hours"(expecting me to be up all night).
6. Fed up of phone representatives, I tried my luck with Service Requests online on MMT's website(the same phone query listed under Complaints). I escalated it to Level 1 (no response). Escalated 2 days later to Level 2 (no response). Escalated to Level 3 (no response). Final escalation, called "Write To Management", done 9 days later - still nothing. The entire escalation system seems like a farce(see attached images).
If someone from MMT would care to read, the service request ID is "**************".
Someone has to be out of his mind to use Makemytrip twice... I have used this pathetic website once and I believe it is enough torture for this life. First of all Airlines in India are tormenting experience add on top Makemytrip (only GOD can help you with this deadly combination). Flight cancellations is like trend in India, so can do much but bear the inconvenience. But how do you deal with thieves like makemytrip? I am chasing up for a refund for a cancelled flight back on 21st Dec 2014. I literally feel like a beggar now asking for my money. Following are the is what I have been doing since then:
1. Ask them for refund, they give you refund reference.
2. Then you just suck your thumb for weeks just waiting.
3. Repeat 1 & 2 above.
I did not read reviews before using them. I wish I did that before making bookings. Spread the word and stay away from them.
Make my trip is the worst travel agency website. The customer service is always poor. I had three bad experiences (u can call me a fool for repeatedly using this website as no other choice!). Refund for flight or hotel cancellation is never hassle free. U may have to call 13 times. I have done it believe me and may take ages!
Only tip: Never never use this website.
Booking Unsuccessful for ID - NF*******406
The booking has been Failed/unsuccessful on 2nd March-15 -Amount Rs. *******-00 has been deducted from my HDFC account but no airline ticket received as it was showing "booking unsuccessful"
The amount still not refunded. The booking was tried to done on 2nd March-15. I tried to book flight from Pune to New Delhi on 2nd March-15 from makemytrip.com. The amount was deducted from my HDFC account to makemytrip account, but no booking was done. The amount is still not paid by makemytrip.com and I am struggling to get back the amount.
Verbally talked daily –written Complaint submitted on 5th March-15, ref. No. ************** (makemytrip record says –refund should reflect in my account up to 4th March) –still not got any refund.
Talked on 7th March-15 with Mr. Deepak at 1651 hrs –as per him activation done on 6th March-15 and will take 2-3 days.
Talked on 10th March with Mr. Rajpal at 1710 hrs –answer is wait for 4 working days and
He is saying that no initiation has been done for refund (MMT team will contact but do not know when).
The screen shot for concerned booking says –Makemytrip.com has initiated refund and it will reflect till 4th march –but still no refund obtained. Only waiting
I Had two bad experience with makemytrip.com. In one incident I lost over thosand
Doller just because their poor customer service, another incident is they charge me foreign transaction fee buying a ticket in usa site. I have request so many times to get my money back but no success, I guess this is kind kind of cheater.
Never ever book tickets using makemytrip. They will neither provide any bookingID nor they will refund money. I am yet to get ******* Rs since 24Jan, 2015 and i am continuously calling and mailing customer care. Very pathetic service. Dont get cheated by their offers. 23 requests are raised which is escalated to highest (4th) management level. Still they will not respond to our calls or emails. Everytime they just sends out an auto reply asking to wait for 72 working hours. Utter waste site
Pathetic support from customer care when it comes to refund your amount in case you cancel any trip. Its been more than a month I haven't received my amount from them and when ever I call them up they says it will be done in 24 hrs and they will give a call back to confirm your refund, none of it happens.
Really frustrating support and I would prefer & suggest never use that site.

My holiday plans were screwed up by these people! This company was the biggest waste of time and money! One honest advice to anyone planning a trip through make my trip, please don't even consider it! The sales staff is least interested in servicing paying customers once the payment is made. Least interested in even listening to our grievances! I wonder if any of their staff ever goes through these reviews to better their service! Friends, please avoid planning through" make my trip". They actually " damage" your trip!
So please think 100 times before booking with them.

Guys do not book Holidays with makemytrip they can give you nightmares. Even after paying pull money don't even bother to call you back with details of travel documents. You will need to call them and follow up with them. The employees are so unfriendly they will not respond to calls they will not respond to mails and no one from makemytrip will actually revert back to you. 15 days before the trip they send you air tickets which are actually fake and cancelled tickets.
With my this experience I Feel I have lost all my money and while be filing for police case today for sending me a fake ticket and screwing up entire money
I have lost 1.5 lakhs for which I have not got any air tickets, no travel vouchers and no receipts.
If make my trip has some courtesy they will take some action regarding same as I have also written to management but no action from make my trip yet.
Answer: I had a tough time getting back my refund as flight was cancelled. Flight cancellation hassle was due to airline which was a different story, but they surely did not help in refund. Finally got refund after 4 months. Cant comment on other aspects but getting Refund from them was painful and difficult, to say the least.

Answer: It is better you raise a request through make my trip website if you had any recent booking with them. Simply log on to their website - go to my trip section and then select the booking id and press on need help/connect. You can also write at CS-Head@makemytrip.com. They do connect pretty fast.
