I bought so many items from Menard and the store didn't give me any rebate when I applied for that. The store just says for 11% rebate but that is not for everyone, maybe it's given to 0.5% of the customers.
Bought door needed a little warranty work found out you have to do it online 9can,t talk to anybody the reply I get has nothing to do with the problem a 2 minute phone call would take care of it will not buy from them again been dealing with this for over 2 weeks I email sometimes don,t hear back for days not only that on the 11% the price is raised to account for that very unhappy once I get my rebate used up will be buying less and more from other stores
There is a tight time window for you to mail in your rebates. Small purchase with less than $1.00 in a rebate? Menards is counting on you to no even bother.
FREE MONEY FOR MENARDS! Rip off the customer on every small purchase. Might as well have a bucket at the manager station for pissed off customers to donate all their 67cent rebates to the CEO to have another martini out on his yacht. 11% Rebate signs in store are a slap in the face to the customer making a small purchase. Once you figure this out, you stop smiling when you walk in those doors because you KNOW you are about to get scammed.
Went to Menards last June bought a brand new refrigerator got it home unwrapped it had a big dent in the side of it called them and they were only willing to give me $80 back on it didn't even make it a year in the fridge quit working on me I was a dummy and did not get extended warranty forgot lucky the manufacturer warranty was still good from the year that I bought it from I had 10 days to file on it they have been out about five times and can't seem to get it fixed I have been with out refrigerator since the middle of May and they told me it probably won't be fixed until November they have replaced every part in my fridge and an estimate of probably $1,400 more than what I paid for the fridge and they won't even give me a new one kind of depressing now I'm still without a fridge and paying my neighbor to store my food in his fridge this whole time because I shouldn't have to buy another brand new fridge because this one should have lasted more than a year Menards has lost my business the word is garbage pretty sad when I spend my hard-earned money to buy something brand new and find out that things a piece of s***
Went in today to pick up premix today at St Ann, Mo. Cs said someone would bring it to me. I asked how as three was no one in sight in the yard. I then said I would go get it myself and she did not say anything else. 1st shed was lumber #2 and the employee was busy stocking insulation and could not give a rats $#*! that I needed help. 2nd shed was lumber #1 and rhe employee directed me to a garage door next to pickup and said "drive in and they will help you". I did so and nick offered help. I returned to my vehicle to wait when some angry white man that had refused to help me on a prior occasion, telling me it was a self service warehouse that time, began berating me about being inside. He said customers were not allowed because it was a liability and that there were signs; I didn't see any. I advised him I had been told to drive in so he asked some random guy walking by if he had said that. Of course he did not, it was the guy in lumber #1. When I put my car in reverse to pull out, nick was behind me so I put the car back in park. Meanwhile, Mr "self service", continued to yell at me until I blew and responded with a slew of cuss words. This brought the entire staff in to berate me and refuse me service. Had he simply asked me to exit the garage and wait for me to do so, that transaction would have been completed easily. Instead, they refused me service because I made what they perceived to be, mistake. Sad state of affairs in customer service at this store in the pickup area. My order which was refused to me by them, still shows as fully delivered as I write this
Twice in 5 minutes I waited for Menards employee to finish with other customer and twice the employee walked away. I was obviously waiting to ask a question. This tells me that beyond a Menards employee simply didn't care and chose to ignore a 'valued customer '. Find somewhere else to shop when able.
I'm a general contractor who spends at least $70,000 a year to be treated poorly by these employees, I was sold shingles that were not in stock, tried to flag down the forklift driver that ignored me twice, that was racing around on the forklift, finally got ahold of another forklift driver and he told me that the don't have the shingles, I told him the situation, and that driver said quote: you can go spend my money elsewhere, then tried to leave the lumberyard and the gate keeper wouldn't let me leave until I signed my paperwork on materials I didn't take,so I finally get back inside talked to the manager she got an attitude after I told her the situation, so I will definitely take my money elsewhere

There is no way to talk to anyone from Menards on the phone for online order problems or questions except to email. You will not hear back until the next day and they can not help with anything or even attempt to help. I live 1 to 1.5 hours from any Menards. My order was delayed on its way from the shipping company to the Menards distribution center where it would then be delivered to the Menards where I would be traveling through. It did not arrive when said it would so now have to drive 3 hours to pick up caulk because not able to have it redirected to a different Menards that I will be traveling by later this week even though it has not arrived at the distribution center, yet. Not worth the hassle!
We live 5 hrs away from closest Menard. Ordered sidings, got a U-Haul and drove all the way to pick up and bring them back (6:30 AM to 8 PM) only to realize they gave us the wrong size!
No help whatsoever in remedying the wrong! They didn't even agree to pick up the wrong parts! They are making us drive all the way back again to deliver the wrong parts and get the right parts! I can believe a big company can get away with this level of service!there is no way to access/talk to anyone in the company other than the store manager who refuses to help!
Be cautious in purchasing this saw from Menards. Mine would not start right out of the box. I had a tech at nearby hw store check if I was doing something wrong. He could not start it either, found no spark, suspected bad coil. Along with not trying out the new saw for a few days, then getting a tech to double check before contacting Menards, I was beyond 7 days from purchase date. Menards management refused to swap out the product, I had to find a factory warranty center. It is there now and I will be without the saw for at least a month due to their backlog. I had not heard of a 7-day limit before, also should have paid more attention to PoulanPro reviews. Be sure to tryout any gas powered product like this promptly, as you cannot return it to the store after seven days.
Ordered composite woods decking materials. They dilevered half of it damaged. Called on May 27th and they ordered a backup for the damage decking. I was told it will take one to 2 weeks to get. Till now I didn't get anything and after calling the store in Homer Glen they send an email telling me that my back order on June 20th will be in in July 5th! I was in the Loveland Menards tonight trying to buy products for my Spa. There was only one cashier and two managers standing and laughing about the long line. After 10 minutes of waiting one manager opened a cash register while the line continued to grow and the other manager just stood there and continued to laugh. When I pointed out their lack of customer service he complained about having three call offs. I don't care about your staffing problem. Step up and do your job. This place is horrible for customer service. Do like me and vote with your feet by going to another store.
We ordered a shed list.I guess.talking to all the people we did they said that it would be packaged up and we paid for delivery incase we could not get it on our trailer.well on talking to Mike Matheson through email the only thing that would be delivered would be trusses we would have to go through the entire store and get everything we needed to build the shed. So we canceled everything and it cost us $140.00 restocking fee to take trusses off truck. I was never told we had to go get everything ourselves. I'm so pissed I work hard for my money and if I had employees that were not trained in their job not informing people the way they should. I would have to eat the cost to keep customers happy.But menards doesn't fully train there employees correctly.will not shop there again. Stopped at the Sycamore Illinois Menards to get deck boards. Went around back I could not find what I needed stopped Jake on a forklift and he promptly showed me where I needed to go and help me load the boards. Thanks Jake with employees like Jake you can't go wrong shopping at Menards.
Menards is usually my go to store, but I have been in line for 20 minutes to check out with two flower pots. If they don't improve staffing, and get more cashiers in the garden somewhere, the busiest place all summer, it is not worth my time to shop here anymore.
The 11 % rebate program is a SCAM If you send in a rebate form it's 50/50 that you will get a rebate from them, plus they have "NO" customer service to help tracking rebates that don't show up at the customers home; absolutely none. I have three forms that have not been paid. They have never been redeemed and have still not been cashed. The store where the original purchase was made do not or will not per company policy help a customer or have a company policy that will reissue rebates to the customer. I will never ever again shop at or recommend MENARDS to anyone, plus I tell everyone I can about the piss poor customer service they have and that they don't care that their customer knows this is "COMPANY POLICY " of their corporation.
I will never shop menards do to the personal deairing COVID. My girl friend and I went there to get some things and walked thru the entire store without a problem. We had over a 1000 worth of merchandise and when we went to check out we where verbally abused by the staff for not wearing a mask but walked thru the entire store. We left the shopping cart and walked out. I tell all my friends never to shop there. I was a customer for years and bought a number of things enclouding my entire kitchen cabinets. But NO MORE. They are not worth any rating.

Have also requested updates multiple times within that month with absolutely no response. Hopefully this is only because of Covid-19 but I from what I've heard the Customer Service is always almost unreachable
