NACA is a long process but ones that is woth it! Gives you everything you need to find an affordable home in addition to excellent interest rates!
My counselor is very upfront and encouraging. It's a great program and I can't wait to become a home buyer with Naca
I've worked at NACA for 12 years an Office Administrator and love it especially helping preparing members for the journey they're about to take, it's a great feeling to see how excited members are for the HBW and then first In take appointments and getting members ready for the journey they're about to take and once the members are quality and get approval and closed it's the best feeling in the world it bring tears to my eyes every time someone closed it's special and I wouldn't traded for anything, I love helping People and love working at NACA, Shirley Gordon
A friend of mine who bought his house through NACA introduced me to NACA and have not regretted since I enrolled with this home buying program. So far everything is working fine with me and my Counsellor April Johnson is awesome. I can't wait to own my dream house. Thank you NACA for this opportunity.
NACA = sound good just a word helping community? "Not to all" very high Discriminating based on social origin.
I start over 8 month ago first time buyer and I was exited about It, a day off from work and I bought Printer and Scanner...) passing a lot of challenges, I have good credit history and I'M the primary buyer, the only reason -to get a good deal and avoid realtor fee., appointment with different councilor D. J. yesterday he pending the process b/c of house hold member don't have SSI#? My councilor she know about it and never encourage me to separate from my family to become naca qualify, There is no humanity kick out special need person from the house to become qualify.
Where is come from Lack of humanity from NACA or councilor?
NACA has been a lifesaver for us and we can't wait to own a home! We know multiple families who purchased their home through NACA and recommended it to us! Kadeja, our counselor, is awesome too!
We have been living in our home for 19 months and we love it;-). Naca's purchasing program is the best! They provided us with the tools necessary to make an informed decision from our first meeting with our counselor to the day we got the keys to our house, and, did NOT charge us a penny. The counselors are very knowledgeable, professional and friendly they have your best interest in their heart!
Thank you NACA for helping us become home owners in Universal City Texas.

This will help anyone struggling through the home buyer process call to get started now. You will get a personal counselor to guide you along the way.
I've read several negative reviews here but I'm not going to let that deter me. So far my counseling sessions here in Las Vegas have been great. My counselor make me feel at ease and so far I don't feel overwhelm. I have a few people who purchase there home through NACA and nothing but positive feed back.
I appreciate the Stance of NACA in terms of what they represent.
Personally, I'd hope to be further along in the process considering I've been enrolled since April(2020) but some things are inevitable.
Interesting experience so far.
Patience and Persistence is key!
So far my experience with NACA has been great. I have not had to jump through as many loops as others that I have reviewed on reviews. I was qualified within the first 3 months and have not had to do as much. There are the trainings that have to be attended but they are informative so it all works out in the end. Naca has been great and I have had great service so far!
Great service for new home ownership. Great resource to build the community, and excellent for individuals that may have issues with there FICO score.
Only can speak for the cleveland ohio office on 60 & Euclid, undercover Ghetto fabulous! Customer service is non existent, they clearly hired bitter women who have no desire to help the community. All phone appointments were either several hours late if at all, with no communication, representative looses paperwork and make you wait an additional month to get it to her again, and the crazy cycle starts again. Emails go unanswered, and if people get houses Im sure its not from the counselor i dealt with!
Dealt with the Roxbury office for months the only thing their for is to help you with a budget they offer lop service gives you different amounts of money for mortgage inexperienced officers if your credit is good and you have enough cash for mortgage fees and 3-5% of your down payment please don't deal with this company
So as the low quality organization called NACA who hiring people who UN respect the people at all i was registered with your agency because some friends from other states was give positive feedback for that encourage me to enroll but I didn't know i will be a person like other fall in this dark hole and what i see just lose membership FEES and down score credit nothing otherwise consular not responding and un respect clients customers service not answering the phone at all i don't know honestly if you still working or NO but the days will discover what is this naca.
My counselor is easy to work with, low interest rate, the best decision I made for my family. I would recommend NACA to friends and family.
Our mortgage counselor was rude to us from the first second. Fine, I can get over it. But the misinformation during every step of the process is beyond frustrating. He has absolutely no idea how to answer any question we've had along the way. The amount we were approved for prior to anything being submitted to the underwriter was twice our actual approval amount. Along the way his rudeness permeated every single interaction with me or my husband. Despite all of this I submitted every single document requested within minutes to hours after the request. I'd go so far as to say that I did this on my own. Our "counselor" was nothing more than a gatherer if documents to give to an underwriter. I paid fee after fee. I was told that I'd have "no closing costs" but "cash at closing" was estimated to be $6k then $5k then $4k but $3k should be enough... I'm not exaggerating. Then I asked for an approximate figure and was told "It'll be lower than what we discussed." So, will it be lower than $6k? $5k? I have no idea. I just keep hoping every day that we'll (1) actually get a closing date and (2) have the funds we need. It's a mystery at this point. This man is beyond useless at his job. Do not go through * at NACA. In fact, if you have ANY option besides NACA, go with that.

Back in 2010 N A C A was able to get me a loan modification with BofA almost immediately.
2% interest for 30 years and the late payments were added to the loan. Thank you!
I was under contract on a home after receiving lending approval and an approved purchase amount from licensed mortgage broker NACA. 14 days prior to my scheduled closing date NACA informs me that they are unable to honor the approval, which is due to the errors of their underwriters, they approved to much. I am seeking my earnest money, inspection fees (all of which were paid after receiving the approval documents form NACA) loss wages to attend the scheduled meetings and required community service, return of credit check fees and member fees.
After reaching out to the lending bank, NACA is refusing to send over my file. Causing further delays. In 3 days my 3 children and I will be without a home due to NACA's negligence, and untimely responses.
NACA is a scam. They do the following
1) NACA makes money out of poor and middle class people.
2) NACA thinks they are doing favor for you by doing your mortgage, but actually they are making money out of you to find the customers for the big banks. They do not respect you at all. They do not care about their customers/members and customer services.
3) NACA place A LIEN on your property without you know by getting your signature on the closing and make it legal!
4) NACA does not release the lien on your property to get a Line of credit, refinance, or selling your house easily. They have a very long process and usually do not approve it.
5) DO NOT use NACA real estates agents. They are not working for you to buy a house they work for NACA. Most of them are not competent.
6) DO NOT use NACA mortgage consultants. They are in-experience people compare to a normal mortgage broker and will waste your time and energy.
7) DO NOT use NACA HAND Department. That department is a messy office worst than other parts of NACA if you need to renovate or rehabilitate your house. They drag you and all the contractors you choose forever.
8) DO NOT use NACA contractors to touch your house. Most or all of them are in-competent.
9) DO NOT use NACA lawyer even it is free. They work for NACA NOT you. They do not care about giving you all the required and important information before signing all the papers.
10) DO NOT use NACA to buy your dream house. They are worse than applying for food stamp and medicate. They are going to waste your time, energy, and money.
Good Luck if you are using NACA!

Answer: I decided to go with NACA because they don't consider your credit score and the counselors work with you to become qualified. NACA has made me more diligent with saving money by not spending on wants but needs. This method has strengthen my assets considerably. Also, because you have to volunteer your services as you see fit at least 5x a year which is great because you are giving back to the community. DEE in Far Rockaway
NACA's primary goal is to build strong, healthy neighborhoods in urban and rural areas nationwide through affordable homeownership.
Thank you for your comments, and especially your tip regarding the Qualification Workbook and Purchase Workbook. As we like to say, 90% of the people who read the workbook cover to cover get a home, while 90% of the people who don't read the workbook don't get a home. The program requires effort and dedication from the buyer as an active part of the process. Congratulations for showing patience and persistence and for becoming a homeowner with NACA's Best in America mortgage!
