Reverberation has allowed someone to steal my banking information and spend $270 on their services without any authorization from me. Nobody answers the phone or even responds to emails. I need to find out any information possible about who has stolen my information for a police report!
I have recently put in numerous requests to have songs removed and they mistakely removed 1 song i made a mistake to be removed, figured out the songs i needed to be removed and requested them multiple times and also apologized twice for my mistake as it was a genuine mistake due being frustrated to the fact my personal online identity is tied to this person still as this person has caused many hardships in my life and i got away from them. Now asking for help to get these 2 songs removed only to keep getting my tickets closed with no valid reason. Im pretty frustrated with your company. If you need screen shots for proof please I will provide my inventory...
Paid for promotion campaigns weeks ago. Never honored. Emailed them 26 times no response. They are a dead stick.

ReverbNation can help you get your fans up but that's really about it,They make you buy a plan even tho basic plans usually free theirs is 12.95 you enters contest that you never win I been there since March of last year never selected for anything yet.i eventually ended up unsubscribe which you can't do anything frfr except post and get fans. Wish this app was more affective

I am writing this review because I like Reverbnation and would like to see it improve. The platform did undergo some improvements over the years but has now become stagnant in a format that is probably the least beneficial to bands. #1 main problem is, as a social media site, it does not offer anything to non-musicians. The people that use Reverbnation are mostly bands, and scams. My band has been around a few years and has a nice size fan base but none of them have a Reverbnation account. The platform doesn't offer our fans any reason to join. #2 biggest problem is Reverbnation needs to send it's solicitations to someplace other than the mailbox. It needs to have its own separate notification box because the site sends too many solicitations. Bands eventually have no choice but to stop reading any and all mail. It takes up too much time to sort through the Reverbnation "special offers." In the past we would get messages from bands, venues, and twice from different TV shows that wanted us to perform. Now if they are messaging us it is being lost in the junk pile of messages from Reverbnation wanting us to pay them for something that will never benefit us. #3 biggest problem is the chart system on Reverbnation is easy to manipulate. In my area in my genre the top three bands are always the same and not one of them plays live. Not one of them has any real fans. My band's position goes from 30 up to 4 then back and forth all the time based on what we are doing in the real world. Somehow these three unheard of bands (that only exist on a laptop in a kids bedroom) stay in the top three spots on the charts for a few years now. Clearly not playing live offers this person more time to figure out how to game the system. Lastly, when Reverbnation started it seemed like a sincere project that wanted to help bands and make a profit in the process. At first we got gigs via Reverbnation and met bands with similar interests. Along the way they became focused on making as much money as possible. Now they straight up lie in their advertising saying things like "Artists launch careers here." I have got paying gigs off Reverbnation but not a single person has ever "launched a career," earning enough money to completely support their family via Reverbnation. This is just an empty promise used to get money out of kids.
Maybe in the past they had bad staff. But I can only talk from my experience. My name is MainChorusMaine. If you're a musician who works everyday on making your last song better than your last song, than Reverbnation does share your passion and will work with you in getting your passion shared around the world. If you pay the money. Below are my song Reviews. As you see my Bad comments look real but my good comments are obviously Fake. I appreciate them pushing me in front of their app, platform, and even when I look up my name on Google, I find my content and so forth. But if they going to lie to me and say they giving me false promises, well, I rather not use them.
I really can't imagine that superstars like Imagine Dragons for example should also be present at ReverbNation (ok, I hope the guys quickly realized what frauds the Reverbnation holding are).
That was just a fake claim by ReverbNation, a very miserable marketing trick to lure unsuspecting musicians.
Otherwise, as many previous posters told again and again, I must unfortunately confirm, one is ripped off at ReverbNation as a musician only, false statistics are added. Promotion for musicians at ReverbNation? A lie, they do nothing for us. Except take our money. I'm done with ReverbNation, I don't want to deal with scammers like them any longer and I don't want to be annoyed anymore.
RN is a great site for musicians and provides you with a lot of useful tools. I´ve never experienced any inconveniences, it´s a great service and it works well even if don´t pay a single dime. Also, great customers service, fast, helpful and reliable.
A lot of people who are reviewing this site should think about themselves. RN never promise a stream boost or guaranteed response/placement/success when you pay for some pitichng (and if they do promise that, they will fullfill the promise). Music is a ruthless business and it takes a lot of time and effort to achieve something. ReverbNation can help you with that, but there´s no guarantee in it.
I´ve read a lot of negative reviews on RN because people got bad score in Crowd Review... I mean, how nonsense is that? RN is not writing those reviews by itself - people write it. And so if you got a bad score, you can´t blame the service provider! You can´t even blame the people, you only can blame yourself for making a song that people doesn´t really like and either try to impove it or move on.
People should realise that RN does everything that is promised, they don´t scam aynone! I would recommend this site to anyone, even if you don´t wanna spend any money, you have a nice opportunity to create your artists profile for free and to build up your fan base. With very cheap Crowd Review service and tens and houndreds of opportunities, cheap premium plan and more, this is one of the best sites for musicians.
They will keep charging your credit card 2-3 times a month, won't send you notices so you'll forget all about it.
I signed up for their SONG PROMOTION service and after 40 weeks got very little results.

In my opinion, Reverbnation's SONG PROMOTION SERVICE did not deliver good results. Their rebilling practices are in my view, sneaky. They should send you a monthly email giving results and rebill notices.
Just started 4 weeks ago, got messaged by a couple producers, its an investment, I find. Its a slow burn but you gotta do some promotion work too, that can be tedious. I got on the radio from this platform as well I'll give it a year or 2
After 2 years of paid distribution I canceled the 3 year. I was really sick at the time and may have crossed over them taking the funds. I contacted paypal for as refund. Reverbnation had every opportunity to contest this refund in accordance with the paypal agreement! ReverbNation then blocked my account holding my song's, info and royalties hostage until I reversed the refund! Even though they were paid in full and held my money for 20 days before the refund they claim it was a chargeback when it was a non-contested refund! Even though the refund closed the transaction they claim it's still open!
All this site does is ask you for money to help you climb up some imaginary "chart". Im glad I never gave them any of my money and i hope you don't either!
I agree with all other that have voiced that there are constant notifications with the false pretense that you are crawling the charts with popularity... each of these ending with a request for money. Most musicians are not making much money off of this site, so it is very disturbing they they will ask for money so much. How about they provide some demographics or stats on all of these avenues that they claim will promote your band. Save your money and invest in a new guitar instead of the many ReverbNation scams
Anything that was once good about this site, is long gone. Now they send you thousands of notifications telling you how great your band is and how well it's trending and all these opportunities that you've qualified for! If, you're willing to pay them a monthly fee. Short of a landing page, don't waste your time.
If you're willing to work hard enough and put your money into your band to get anywhere with this site. You would get further without them. That money is best suited somewhere else. That hard work will do you more good somewhere else.
After 8 years of poor promotion and escalating costs, I am finally leaving Reverbnation. The final straw was them taking an additional 30% from my pay for taxes. I am a senior citizen on a small fixed income. I only made $60 last year from Reverbnation and they took an additional 30% in taxes. The tiny amount I made doesn't even qualify for taxation. Another ripoff.
Just had 21 euro TAKEN out of my account by this company... i NEVER AGREED TO THIS, How hard it is to make a living from music at the moment... I´ve been playing 40 years, come on guys... clarity?
I did a transaction with Reverbnation and the amount they charged was 118$ US which in SA currency is about R2000 (Rand). After entering my card details I received a warning message from my bank that R3756. 76 had been withdrawn from my account which is way too much. 118$ is only about R2000 so there is a discrepancy of R1750. 00 which is unacceptable. I am trying to obtain their email to try and get a refund because the one they submit (digitalreverbnation.com) does not exist. The bastards have just taken me for a ride. I also received no notification from them for the transaction, apart from the "warning" SMS from my bank.
Let me cut to the chase. I am a retired former Major-Recording Music Industry Producer/Engineer who recently contacted ( what a joke) 'Reverbnation' by PHONE where they ( another 'joke') have a message that they'll 'return the call' ( a LIE AND a 'joke') Our Studio ( a PRO 'Sound for Film' company) who's staff has EXTENSIVE backgrounds for many decades- working with, performing with, opening for and recording MANY legendary Artists & groups- had a 'casual acquaintance' go rogue and put a BUNCH of songs ( in the idea stage and OWNED by the Studio) up on many sites. INCLUDING 'Reverbnation'. WITHOUT PERMISSION. Then? The idiot apparently abandoned the sites and we need to take them down or at the least TAKE IT OVER but it is obvious that the 'dipwads' who either run or work for RN ( or both) CAN'T be bothered to act like what they CLAIM to be.'PROFESSIONALS'. Are you people at RN serious? We deal with Legendary and Grammy Award winning Producers/Engineers, our AVERAGE age is 60 + and let me tell you... REVERBNATION as ( anyone) can see/read... is obviously NOT very well thought of- and CERTAINLY are not the 'PRO'S... they purport to be!
Answer: Stay far far away from this site...
Answer: Another classic example of them playing games with users. It used to be there was no file size not allowed. Then they allowed it but required a monthly fee - via their plans which are a joke - to upload larger higher quality files.
Answer: Only if you want to loose money. They will gladly take your money but you won't see any result from it.
Answer: Good question. I don't think this happens from experience. My first release was with Reverbnation, a single which bafflingly was released as an album for $19.99 or whatever it cost. Possibly my fault, didn't hurt me as an artist though as my 1 album single was on iheartradio, spotify and itunes and many other distributers I wouldn't have picked. I since learned about the $1 singles so have made a few releases with that for reverbnation - I've pulled a few singles on Reverbnation and Tunecore and have never received a refund of any kind, nor would I expect to. Reverbnation do credit the money back if you pull the release pre-distribution I know that. Maybe try routenote, I release a lot with them on there 'free' model they do take a cut of the royalties though on that plan - I like that flexibility though to be able to pull and re-release tracks.
Answer: As the reviews here warn, RN isn't interested in maintaining a reputation for integrity, As long as they get your money, the future be damned.
ReverbNation helps Artists grow lasting careers by introducing them to music industry partners, exposing them to fans, and building innovative tools to promote their success.
