I have been trying to with draw money from my robbin hood account to my bank account for about a month now. When I try to do so I get a message saying that my account is restricted from making transfers. I emailed support about a month ago and they provided me with a link to upload my ID and verify my identity which I have no problem with. How ever the link provided will not let me upload a photo of my id and I've been trying to upload my personal info but the same message about hardware issues keeps on appearing. Now they are asking for my a photo of my social and PDF's of my bank statements. I am very frightened that I will not be able to get my money out, and it appears I'm not the first person this has happened to. If you are first getting into trading absolutely avoid Robbinhood at all costs because you may never see your money again. I am currently using Public to trade and I have had no issues with drawing money.

Robin Hood claims to be the new type of financial institution with different practices they want to be the rebel. But they are just another for-profit only concerned about their stock price financial institution who doesn't care about their customers. In all the years I've been banking or dealing with financial institutions not a single company has taken more than a few days for my funds to be received in my account Robinhood is taking seven plus days they can say five business days they can claim whatever they want but my money left my account on a Tuesday and won't even beat it till the following Tuesday anybody that's dumb enough to use this company who keeps your money for the purposes of them making money. While while now costing me thousands and thousands of dollars because my funds aren't available for purchasing! Robin Hood is is the worst of the worst of financial institutions one week to transfer funds a week to transfer funds a week to transfer funds in today's world is ludicrous. No new company here no rebel nothing more than another for-profit doesn't care about their customers financial institution.
I have been a Robinhood client since 2019. I haven't ever really used it until this year. I deposited my entire savings to Robinhood and after finally trusting this place, they have totally robbed me. I had finally decided to trust them and I deposited $30,000. I have never been asked for a social security card and now all of a sudden I have to upload a picture of it and I don't have it currently. My wife and I decided to take a trip with said money and we get about 450 miles from home and Robinhood locks up my account asking for documents to verify my identity. I have given them everything they have asked for except my SSN #. I haven't had a card in years. Well my wife and I are stuck in a different state with no money to get home our car is broken down and I can't get a ss card for 2 weeks from the social security office. Robinhood is very untrustworthy and I am warning everyone before you use them. RUN AWAY FAST. THE OTHER PLACES ARE BETTER THAN THEM. They don't care about us as people and we should stick together and not ever use them. Help me rebuke them for what they are still doing to me. We have been treated like we are less then human and have been degraded and humiliated. Robinhood should be shut down for the way they treat people.
I advise you to stay away from this company totally. Once you deposit, thry don't give you your investments or can't access your portfolio.

Terrible customer service. They refuse to respond back. After two years they locked my account down for no reason.
Robinhood will lock your account inexplicably and demand an endless amount of verification, and will keep it locked long after your have uploaded everything they requested. I had given them my social security card, passport, driver's license, selfie holding my ID, and multiple facial recognitions, AND MY ACCOUNT REMAINED LOCKED.
They were very accommodating to open up my account back in 2015. Everything's good until I needed to do transfers back to my checking account. They froze my account. They were too aggressive to open up accounts without all the proper information. Now they are trying to clean up their mess but have locked my account from transfers. It's taking me over 3 weeks to submit repetitive Identification information to them. Customer service is very difficult to interact with and very, very slow to react! Stay Away!

My account was locked due to a wrong pin. I changed my pin but then my entire account was shut down. I've provided all documentation to have my account reopened. And every single time they need something else. Worst experience. Customer service is absolute crap. Send your money somewhere else
They have taken my money & basically logged me out after being with them for YEARS. Now all of a sudden they can't "verify" my account & asks you to send all type of BS pictures & copy of IDs etc. This is ridiculous. I've had my account for years & NOW you want to re-verify me? Once I do gain access to my account, TRUST & believe I will be withdrawing all of my investment going elsewhere. This company is a JOKE. Please invest elsewhere. Don't waste your time.
Over 2 weeks now I have still have not received this "email" to open my account. But I can deposit money waste of time no longer interested

I had a similar experience. After I was locked out by them, (i had my login in and password but they did not have my cell for 2nd authorization.) I requested Robinhood sending it to my email which they refused) They wanted a photo ID. I refused. Had less than $100 in the account. I was testing the website to see if I like working with the Company. After going back and forth, I decided to transfer shares to another brokerage. They charged my broker a $75 transfer fee. I could have sold the shares and took back the cash... but oh yeah... I was locked out of the account. The best part of the conversation was as follows:
"I'm sad that you decided to leave Robinhood due to the experience you had. I hope your past experience does not negatively affect your outlook on my support or support you may receive in the future, should you decide come back to Robinhood. "
I do not recommend doing business with Robinhood, but if you do, be aware of all the issues they have.
I'm a current account holder. For awhile I didn't use my account and when I tried to login they sent me a verification code to my land line phone number which doesn't accept texting/SMS. It was the only one verification option they use: no automatic calls, no e-mail verification, no customer service interview with questions asked/answered. They are "deeply concerned about customers info security". They demand a selfie with clearly visible government issued ID: all this after they exposed their customers data being hacked in November of 2021. Meanwhile, a customer could get a hold of his/her funds: Robinhood provides to everyone his/her account number and an option to transfer his/her money to an external account for a mere fee of $75 - no verification's required. Should I mention that their customer service is absolutely close to none: none of them even reads your e-mail to understand an issue. Besides the compromised data integrity they have never mentioned on their website that a smartphone is a must, especially if you want to get your money out. Money deposit doesn't require anything unusual: and this is exactly their point. Don't get into it - you'll regret it.
Do not under any circumstance give these people your money. They are holding my money hostage right now which has cost me more than 3k while dealing with their useless customer service. They're not only incapable of getting me back into my account after my phone number changed, they won't reply with anything other than a copy and pasted email. Not only that, they'll send you the same one multiple times because the people you deal with directly make next to nothing, and then when you call them out and tell them to stop copy and pasting emails they just ignore you all together. They sent me the email in the image 3 times! This is the single worst company I've ever done business with, and second place isn't even close. This isn't like buying food from someplace and then choosing not to go back... these worthless a88holes still have my money. These people should be arrested.
Still holding my money because I got gas at the pump and gas station has their money from me …. Why are they holding my money and I have no way to get home. Robin Hood turned on 2 factor authentication on my account. I retired and lost my company cell phone which was listed on my account. I contacted customer support and finally got ahold of them. I sent in the info they wanted but they would not accept it because of " visible accessories" what ever that is. I understand the need for Verification but most companies use information on the account. And do not understand why the need a clear picture of the back of my driver license.

Moving forward, we weren't able to accept the photos because you had visible accessories. Additionally, we do need a standalone photo of the back of your ID. This can be best achieved by placing your ID on a flat surface and ensuring all four corners are captured.
Your selfie must meet all requirements:
• Must include your full face with nothing blocking it
• No hats or accessories
• All four corners of your ID must be visible
• No glare on the ID

I was super excited to download Robinhood and start investing so I did and started off with just investing around $100, that day and right after the 100 got taken out of my savings account a hacker got through the app and the information I gave and stole $2,000 from me. I obviously called my bank to file a claim and I wanted to report it to the app so it wouldn't happen to anyone else and they were super disrespectful and said theres nothing they can do and tried denying that they have had security problems. I just don't want anyone to go through same thing I did.

Answer: No you don't get help, i've sent 10 emails since 10 days ago and now freaking replies. Never traded on margin or options and initiated a transfer out of robinhood yet they didn't move everything and now say I owe them money. Plus things I sold out completely on 1/27 showed up in my Merrill account on 2/2 BUT at a way higher price than I paid. So such a scam and they will never help you
