Ryobi enjoys a mixed reputation among its customers, with notable strengths in product quality and versatility. Many users appreciate the performance and ease of use of their tools, particularly battery-operated lawn equipment, which is praised for its efficiency and lightweight design. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly related to warranty claims, service delays, and difficulties in obtaining replacement parts. Complaints about inadequate support and communication suggest a need for improvement in customer relations. Overall, while Ryobi has a loyal customer base, enhancing service responsiveness could bolster its reputation further.

Unsafe and very dangerous batteries, and then the service was beyond bad. My 40V 6hr one month old battery and charger blew up and almost burnt my shed down, and after 4 hours trying to contact support through phone, email, and their text system have gotten no where. Look at the photos below and tell me what you would do?
I am really fed up with Ryobi today. Equipment is widely available, but you struggle your bud off to get the accessories. I am really considering looking to go over to another make, because of this.
My wife wanted a pressure washer to do work around the house, but she (and me too) didn't want a big gas powered one. I looked at some mid range electric ones, but after reading about it, it seemed that the small 1800 PSI one might do the job. We purchased the "RYOBI 1800 PSI 1.2 GPM Cold Water Electric Pressure Washer" and so far it has performed extremely well. While I'm not going to spray down a driveway with it, it totally cleaned up our sidewalks, brickwork in the garden, etc. The high powered nozzle is good for concrete, while the mid-range one takes care of painted surfaces, decks and so on. The only negative is that I don't love the soap dispenser, but you really hardly need it with the other nozzles. If you're a contractor it's not for you, but around the house, it's great!
I have been using Ryobi cordless drill and circular saw for
Several years, and I am very happy with them. Their functionality, and durability were great. Today I add a leaf
Blower and a pair of 18 volt battery and charger. I would strongly recommend anyone to try Ryobi tools. They are economical, efficient and durable.
I purchased the Ryobi lawnmower around March and have used it about once every two weeks since. Both my spouse and I have found it fairly easy to maneuver and it handles our fairly large lawn well.
I own a P660 crimper and it stopped doing its job,, I asked for a replacement tool and the closest repair center is one hour away. It states it has a 3 year warranty. I call them and I get a address over a hour away I'm very disappointed in the help I received!
Easy to use even for a woman.I recommend this to to any body. Its light weight and easy to handle even for me who is a women.
I am a firm believer in the Ryobi brand. As a senior with a huge yard that I maintain on my own they are a life saver. I own the chainsaw, blower and grass trimmer. The trimmer is definitely used the most. I own other trimmers but they are too heavy and awkward for me. Glad I can manage property on my own. I am surprised how long a charge lasts and with an extra battery no waiting. Love them
Try the various means of contact. You will discover that Ryobi is completely non responsive however long and hard you try to interact with them. So sorry because I do like their tops and other products. I
Purchased a Ryobi 6 pack recharger loved it so much I purchased another one. Love the option for different batteries so I always have a good battery and never have to wait for a recharge. Highly recommend Ryobi products.
My review of Ryobi products would be incomplete without mentioning Homedepot.
I didn't really pay much attention to the Ryibi brand when they first came out, preferring to stay with the more established tool brands. However, with my and son's recent purchases of Ryobi products, I have been exceedingly satisfied with their performance and endurance including my most recent purchase of a Ryobi 3200 psi pressure washer online from Homedepot. I had no problems placing my order online and the unit was delivered promptly, and on the scheduled date via UPS. However, when I took the unit out of the box I was deeply disappointed because the spray wand handle was broken.
Needless to say I returned the unit to Homedepot. The associate at the Service Desk said that since it was an online purchase she would have to call the central office for instructions on what to do. Central office said I should take it back home and UPS would pick it up to which I responded that I didn't wish to lug it back home and rather leave it at Homedepot.
After several attempts to enter my credit card number to the Central office via the Homedepot landline phone, and/or my cell phone which took about an hour the Associate at the Service Counter ended up placing the order for me.
For my inconvenience, and my time lost Homedepot a generous discount (customer satisfaction) on top of my military discount which I had already received. My new Ryobi pressure washer arrived two days later, intact. All is well that ends well. Ryobi, you did well in selecting Homedepot as one of your outlets. They did a great job of promoting your product and their commitment to customer satisfaction.
I started using Ryobi tools a few years back and they performed great. I have not bought any other brand since using Ryobi tools. There battery last longer than other brands I've used.
I'm very satisfied with Ryobi tools.
Product manual was easy to understand and tool was easy to adjust and setup. Is relatively quiet and handles are ergonomically fit to the hands and makes maneuvering the tool easy
They are excelect tools i think we have just about every one you put on the market my wife and i both own your tool and use them a lot
I have purchased 4 different Ryobi power tools and can say without hesitation they have all exceed expectations. They are easy to cause and I have never had a maintenance problem. I highly recommend them
Easy to use and Works well and very lightweight. I like it very much. It does a good job. If mowing the grass needs to be short won't cut if it's tall.
Well I got it for myself Christmas gift. The look, weight.just starting using this summerand a mishap, chaining git stuck and disconnect.so hopeful it can be g ixed,or replace,I like how it handles for me a woman
Half of my Ryobi tools and their batteries failed within a year on the tools that I have. Their warranty is impossible. You have to send the tool in with a $40 deposit. (So if they find that it is your fault they can charge you.). Try and call them for help and that's a frustrating experience. If you want less expensive tools than Milwaukee, go to Harbor Freight and get the Bauer stuff for half the price of Ryobi. For $18 more you can get a 2 year no questions asked warranty with them! All of my Bauer tools have out lasted the Ryobi stuff.
This review is based on a 40V 12' electric chainsaw. Locked completely up after a dozen uses. 2 1/2 hours on the phone with Ryobi customer service and I finally gave up (never answered). Tried the on-line chat with customer service, and got an answer in a lightning fast 40 minutes. Was told they only do warranty through 'service centers', and the closest one to me (I'm in SW Florida) is in Tampa (2 hours away). Called the service center and they gave directions to ship it to them (at my expense) with a $25 deposit. They will asses it and determine if it is in fact a warranty issue. If it is they will use the deposit towards shipping it beck to me. If it is not warranty, I will have the option of having them fix it for obviously more expense. I do expect good things from the service center as they were very nice and accommodating over the phone. MY PIONT IN THIS REVIEW IS THAT IF YOU INTEND ON BUYING RYOBI PRODUCTS, DO NOT PLAN ON A PLESANT EXPERIANCE WITH ANY WARRANTY ISSUES.
I purchased buy Ryobi Lawn mower from Home Depot in Oct 20 because it was on sale, I needed a mower and I wanted to buy electric, I'm sorry I didn't look further. This is my third summer and the mower is falling apart. I'm use to constantly tightening the screws on the sides but never thought I needed to look out for the screws holding the wheels in place underneath the back tires. Today I lost a plate when the screws fell out. I called Ryobi and waited for hours,11 - 1, before I spoke with a guy that said I had the wrong department, he transferred me to a number that didn't picked up by 3, so I called Home Depot. Who nicely stated that the item was too old to return when all I wanted was screws and a replacement plate to keep the back tires in place. I told him this and he promised to contact Ryobi and get back in 48 hours. Good luck with that.
Seems we have to vet everything anymore or accept that all manufactures are more or less a catch me if you can company
Answer: I own 2 chain saws, 18" bar and 14"bar, both run excellent, I have cleared a lot of trees over the last several years on property up north, thank you
Answer: Yes, call Ryobi's 800 number. They will send a replacement. The same thing happened to me.
