Data recovery is never cheap, therefore having your data recouped in a timely manner, especially for us since we used it on a corporate level for a VP and project manager, was very important. Easy to use service, there is constant communication between the agent/tech servicing your drive. No complaints from me.

Four months later I hadn't heard back, so I wrote them, and they told me that the data isn't recoverable.

While I get that sometimes data may not be recoverable, I feel that this was a textbook case of when they SHOULD be able to get data off. The device wasn't physically damaged, it was an unrelated component in the laptop that failed.

If they tell you they can get the data off without physically ruining the device, maybe they can do it. But if they need to unsolder stuff or do a "chip-off" recovery - use someone else.

Not only is there no reason I shouldn't have my data, but they couldn't bother to write me when they failed, I had to pursue them.

If there's one upside, it's that they didn't charge my card for their failure to get my data.

This company is a swindle and a sham. They have terrible customer service. Two employees pursued me in a predatory manner after an initial expression of interest on my part. The first told me that after he quoted me a price point that I had to put a card on file to begin service. I said the quote was too high. He said the actual price might be lower and my card on file would not be charged until I selected to take the data. I explained that I don't have much money and that almost $600 was an exorbitant amount for me to spend. A couple months later, a girl called and said that I had to approve the list of data although that would not be the same as purchasing the data. In other words, once the job was done, I had to verify if the info seemed accurate. It did so I said yes.

I decided ultimately not to take my files back because as a teacher the cost was way too high. Fast forward five months and I am getting harassed by creditors claiming I owe this company almost $600.

This is a terrible company with terrible customer service. They have lied, manipulated, cheated, and now are stealing from me. Please do not support these people.

I sent a hard drive for recovery on August 23. Salvage Data indicated a 48-hour response time to evaluate and suggest what they could do. After a week I called and left a message inquiring on the status. NO RESPONS. I waited another week and still no response so I called again - had to leave a message - NO RESONSE. After 23 days, I called again and actually got a human. She informed me the disc was unrecoverable and that if I wanted the disk back it was $40 to ship it. Completely unsatisfactory. Strongly recommend you use an different service.

I had old floppy disks that I believed held genealogical information. I specifically said that I did not want to
Pay for work on program disks, which I sent along thinking they would be helpful. What I got was useless, obsolete program disks, no data and a $1400.00 charge on my credit card. When I complained, my previously personable account rep went completely silent. There was no file list to view before payment.

I had an issue with an sd card, i had accidentally reformatted it and all of the information and pictures I had on it had deleted. So I looked for a bunch of places that would be able to get all my information back and decided to go with proven data. After reading reviews about their unmentioned $40 return shipping fee if you decline their service after evaluation, I decided to go with a local company. However, these guys continue to text, call, email asking me to drop off my disks. I politely declined their services several times via text and email but they keep saying they'll keep my case open, "circling back around" to see if I still need their services. I said NO. I finally had to block their phone calls, texts, and emails. Why are they so desperate? I would not trust them with my data.
