SCAM ALERT!
December 26, 2021

Go ahead and try to buy something with your points! 99.9% of the time, it says not available in your zip code, or not available for shipping or store pick up. I will now stop using the card 12/2021 and will be researching Discover card. I tried to buy a dremel tool, shoes, towels etc and NOTHING worked. I signed on for a Lowes gift card. Now, let me drive 10 miles to Lowes only to find out the bar code doesn't work!

Badly run scam
December 15, 2021

Points! Points! I have all these points. Well, try and redeem the points and you will find out quickly you can't because you don't receive the email they are supposed to send to you to verify it's you. Options, talk to Keto, their bouncing blue head online, and receive the helpful automated response to contact customer service. Come to find out there is no customer service. Call any time between the hours of 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM a recorded voice instructs. Well I called at noon, so Iast I checked that falls between those hours. No matter when you call, you will find there is no working there, no customer service, no way to verify points, no way to redeem points. Oh, sending a email to the address given for customer service will surprisingly receive no response either. Terrible, horrible company. Writing a complaint to the attorney general after this and cancelling the card.

I took advantage of the no interest credit checks SYW had sent me. Of course there is a fee involved but it works out to about paying 5 percent. I wrote a check for less than my full credit card limit but they added on the whole fee which put me over my credit limit. The immediately reported me to a credit bureau that I went over limit on my credit card. I have a service that notifies me of any changes to my credit report. SYW will do nothing to take this off my credit report. Usually if you go over limit, Most credit card companies will not authorize the transaction or notify you. I was going to pay this off and walk away but they already took my fee. I plan to cancel this card as soon as it's paid off. I can't belive this is part of Citi. I have other Citi cards and receive excellent service.

Dishonest thieves.
July 22, 2021

Had unauthorized use of my card posted to my account. Spoke with four different reps on four different occasions who all advised me there would be no charges and no interest paid while the investigation was underway. Not only was I charged payments, I was charged interest. They sent communications to the previous address I lived at which hasn't been on file for over four years and I have proof yet they lied about that as well. Their whole scheme is to lie and steal. Do not do business with these crooks.

False calls
June 30, 2021

I never joined shop your way and I get calls that do not say anything. When I call the number they say thank you for calling shop your way. Well, I never signed up for it! You have to sign up to make any comments on their site which is just all ads for Buy MORE NOW. They are annoying at the very least with no way to contact anyone who can help. I would stay away from them.

Horrible.
April 8, 2021

I applied for this card back in september 2017, just when Sears was closing. Used it once to shop there and never used it again. I completely forgot that I had set it up for my statements to be online. I also set up my bills to be automatically debited. Now I just found out that there has been fraudulent activity. I have proof that I haven't used my card since the end of September, however some scum of the earth got a hold of my card and has charged $3,000. Now I been fighting this since February, and was told that the account was closed. Now in March they still charged me for payments. This is ridiculous and this credit card company is terrible. Does anyone have advice as who I can contact to have this resolved, because their fraud department is not doing their job!

I have had my Sears MasterCard now known as Shop Your Way MasterCard since 2013. In all this time I have only recently reported one dispute. I furnished supporting documents, unlike the disputed vendor, and my credit card company chose not to support me. I believe it was just easier for them to process the charge rather than support their card holder. I am very disappointed that the credit card company I have used for 8 years has so little value for me. I regret having to close my account, but I see no reason to stay with this company.

Sucks
December 29, 2020

It's not possible to suck more. If you can name a reason as to why a rewards program would suck, SYW will not disappoint. Have points, Congratulations! We don't have anything and I mean anything for you to redeem them for. Want to speak to a person, go flock yourself. Want to search for something to redeem points, BAM here's our ridiculous website. Good luck with our terrible query function.

They were continue sending me offers in my email. I was lured for the points reward offered requesting you to accept them in the email.; finally I stupidly charged my last important purchase to the SYW card, when I tried to redeem my points earned so far, it was a nightmare and a waste of time to redeem beginning for the so difficult way to log in, finding the product that most of them are not available in your Zip code since Sears closed operations. So is pointless using that credit card. Save your self a hard time, cut it and throw it to the garbage.

Do not get a credit card from them. I've had so many security issues with the website that it is scary. They have no customer service agents to help. The credit card is through Mastercard and CitiBank. I expected more from these companies and am shocked they've partnered with such an awful, unhelpful and unsure website. If you don't want you credit card info to be in danger, don't get their credit card OR use any other credit card on their website. They just do not care about customers at all. Awful. Frustrating. Infuriating.

I had over ******* points and received an email that a $75 gift card was sent to an unknown email address. My account was locked and had been hacked. I spoke to 3 representatives and was told 'sorry' and they could not reinstate my points or give me the stolen $75. I only received apologies for my situation. This is not a safe card to use for points, the company is not taking any fraud responsibility, and I do not recommend Shop Your Way.

Shop Your Way says you can get points back for your purchases that you can then use on products in an online store.

So you watch your points balance, you save up, and when you have enough points you go to exchange the points for something.

Then you go to the store and NOTHING YOU CLICK ON IS ACTUALLY FOR SALE. There's no way to sort by "is this available." You have to click on everything to see if it's purchasable and EVERYTHING says cannot be shipped, cannot be picked up, not available in your zip code.

When you finally find something that can be purchased, you find out, it's just an ad! The ads can't be bought with ShopYourWay points, they're just ads that ask you to by something at full price for a boosted amount of ShopYourWay points, which... can't be used for anything!

I clicked on over 150 items, I found 1 item that could be exchanged for ShopYourWay points - a Candy Land board game.

So this product, billed as a way to earn points to buy a variety of products, is better described as a "Candy Land points" card.

Run a away! As far as possible! The most horrible financial service you could receive ever. Tons of advertisements booming your emails which made key information invisible. Always have technique difficulties to download your statement so you do not know what was going on.
Most importantly, they provide very confusing terms, tricky traps, and very unprofessional communication so it is so easy for you to violate something and get charged a huge amount of fees(I was charged about 2,000 for 4000 purchase!).
It all started with a visit in a Sears store where you were told you just need to register for an account, set an Autopay, and pay every month until the balance is cleaned. Then the nightmare began. You went to Sears again for something else and were told you could still have a 2-year payment without interests. You allowed them to set up everything for you. And then someday you noticed you got charged 2,000 interests! You called them and were told it is because the second purchase were not qualified for the no-interest service so anything you paid went to the interests first and thus the amount you paid could not cover the full amount. This was not consistent with what you were told in their store at all! You asked them to tell you what was the second purchase and why it was not qualified, and were told they could not give you anything unless your statements. They could not even email your statements but only mail to you that takes weeks. I closed my account immediate after this. If you still want to do business with them, good luck.
