I am not savvy with websites, creating them and anything else that has to do with them. I contacted their customer support via chat and Vasil walked me through it - made it super easy.
They really hide their technical support function really well. You literally have to go through all the provided scenarios and choose a scenario that is not already covered by a canned answer. But once you do that and get your technical support rep, they're great! Plamen was very helpful, knowledgeable, patient and nice.

I've been with SiteGround a number of years now, and one thing has been consistent... their support is amazing. I design websites and know enough of the back end to be dangerous. SG's support has bailed me out a number of times, and in a timely fashion. It's easy enough for a business to get the sale, but it's how they provide support over the years that really matters. You can't go wrong with SiteGround!

SiteGround is the absolute best hosting company in the world. I have used nearly 4 other hosting companies, but once I found SiteGround the search was over. The hosting is fast and reasonably priced and the support is AMAZING. Literally, the support has saved me so much time and money over the months.
The support has helped me with errors I get on my site not even related to hosting. They are so knowledgeable, friendly, and even funny at times. Most hosting companies have terrible support from what I have found. SiteGround is top-notch!
Also, I should mention that if you use WordPress SiteGround offers an amazing site optimizer plugin and a security plugin. These are exclusive to SiteGround and are amazing!

I was having a problem with my payment method which in time led to my website go offline. I asked for help through the "contact us" section and inmediatly I was contacted via chat. My problem was solved whitin 3 minutes. So happy for a costumers service that actually works!
I messed up my SPF files and Vladimir helped me fix it in a matter of minutes. Really superb service (as I alway find any time I need to contact SiteGround)
I reached out to them today- my plan was set to expire 10/20... so imagine my surprise when I see that they charged me a renewal fee on 10/6.
I reached out and they were absolutely amazing at reversing the charge and making it right (which they always are! In the past one guy spent 2 hours in chat with me trying to figure out why my server was being blocked- he was GREAT!)
But I will say to use them with caution. This is not the first time Ive had "tech glitches" like that. The rep also told me that if I downgraded my plan ahead of time- it would take effected immediately and charge me immediately... so obviously renewals are just suggestions at siteground. They auto renewed and charged me 3 weeks too early... then when I wanted to auto-downgrade, to take effect at the auto renew date... apparently that's not a thing either. They could use a few tech/automation upgrades.
But the awesome service makes up for the unexpected hiccups.

I've been a customer of SiteGround for going on five years, managing dozens of smaller client sites as well as my own. Over that time, I've had plenty of issues to contend with, and have reached-out to the customer service team at SiteGround dozens and dozens of times.
What's amazes me over all this time is how each and every technician I chat with (or otherwise interact with) always has the same positive, friendly, "what can we do to help you" attitude. Every time I chat with them, I'm made to feel like a friend of their organization, and I sense that they'll stop at nothing to resolve my issue as quickly yet professionally as possible. In a day and age when it seems most organizations are too busy or don't want to put the time or money into truly helping their customer base, SiteGround seems to have taken the opposite approach and, in my experience at least, seems to always have my back.
There are lots of web hosting companies out there--hosting is almost a commodity. While SiteGround has very competitive pricing, their network is rock-solid and, I believe, they can compete with anyone, it's the customer service that has kept my business with them for nearly five years now.
Answer: There are certainly many other hosting companies out there, some of which appear cheaper, but there is a difference between low cost and good value. I have not found a hosting company that is better than sitegound
