Stamps.com has established a reputation for enhancing shipping efficiency, particularly for small businesses and non-profit organizations, with many users praising its convenience and time-saving features. Positive feedback highlights the user-friendly interface, effective tracking systems, and responsive customer service. However, concerns persist regarding software stability, billing practices, and difficulty in reaching support, with several customers reporting frustration over unresolved issues and unexpected charges. Overall, while the service is valued for its functionality, there is a clear need for improvements in technical reliability and customer support responsiveness to enhance user satisfaction.

Stamps.com has been my mail method for over 13 years. I love the convenience they prove as well as superior customer service.
I have a very small side business and need to ship with ease and confidence. I hope to continue my sales so it will make sense to continue the service. I have also been extremely happy with the customer service. Good job!
Stamps.com saved me from standing in line at the post office on a dozen occasions this holiday season. Great! But it took 2 hours and three phone calls before I successfully printed my second mailing label. Some type of internal security issue.
I was able to use the included scale for automatic weighing on only 1 day out of 10; bug in software doesn't properly login "stamps connect", which is needed for auto weighing, with stamps.com.
Password requirements for stamps.com not the same as for "stamps connect", which renders using either interchangeably a frustrating experience if you start out with a password good on only one of the systems.
You can't use your email address as your user name because you can't use a period in the user name (like *******@gmail.com) Another non-intuitive "feature".
To me, the term "Address" is not the same as "recipient", but there is no place to specify recipient ( just put the person's name on the first line of the address). Again, poor user interface.
It isn't clear how to print two labels on one sheet of paper sometimes, and only one at a time other times.
Overall, I think I saved around $10.00 on $120.00 in postage for a monthly $17.00 fee. My original plan was to Cancel right after the Holidays, but I may wait a few more months until I'm vaccinated. My local post office has a small lobby, and is always busy.
However, I still need to go into the building to drop off packages because there is no large drop box outside. I make and ship cloth face masks for friends and family, and ship all over the country - two or three shipments of 2 or 3 packages a month. I can't justify it on cost, but for now, my wife says I can on safety.
Great service to have. Reliable, fast and easy to use. I highly recommend Stamps.com. No waiting in long lines at the post office. Easy to navigate and makes shipping a breeze. I feel confident using this service
I HAVE BEEN DOUBLE CHARGE SINCE MARCH 2020 IT IS NOW OCT. 2020. $19.95 X 8 MONTS SO FAR.
HAVE TRIED CALLING MANY TIMES ON HOLD WITH NO RESULTS. TRIED EMAILING THEY SAID SOORRY TRY CALLING. I AM NOW IN DISPUT WITH CREDIT CADR COMPANY TO RESULVE.
They charge you $17.99 per month even when you don't use the service! Service fees are non-refundable.
As a business owner, I can tell you this business has the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I deal with distributors and suppliers on a DAILY basis. Called May 15th and literally waited 45 minutes for an answer. Spoke with the lady for a few minutes but had to go because a customer was calling. Even after I gave her all of my information I was still unable to get into the account. Called again that following Monday (May 18th) and waited for another 40 minutes and never got an answer (keep in mind this is my business account I use for shipping out packages to my customers and has all of my customer information in it that I no longer have access to) so I decided to hang up and just use their contact form to hopefully get assistance. By the way there is no chat or email to use. That was Monday morning, later that day I submitted a post to facebook as I was running out of options to get my account back up and running. The next day I received a comment from a lady and then another comment from stamps.com asking me to contact them via *******@stamps.com. That was on Tuesday. As of Wednesday night I have yet to hear back from anyone at the *******@stamps.com email or from the contact form and I have been trying to get a hold of someone since Friday. So here it is almost a week and I still can't get access to my business account. By the way they are also deleting comments on facebook. I have screen shots. The comments were not inappropriate only explaining the situation and asking was stamps.com still operational.
Be careful! They charge a $17.99 MONTHLY fee when you open account. Whether you do business with them or not. For a company or person doing hundreds of dollars in postage a month it could be a good deal.
I will be cancelling this once I use up my balance. Not worth the monthly fee for the convenience. I can print my own parcel post postage directly from USPS and order stamps direct from them as well at NO EXTRA CHARGE.
First, I wrote to Stamps.com on the 28th and have not heard back from them to resolve my problem!
I have been trying to send very important mail since the 26th and can not do so!
I am very aggravated especially that this mail should not be sitting on my table!
This is my correspondence:
I am trying to create labels for certified mail to be printed on paper. I have the slips to be written for the certified part.
When i try to access the drop down for first class mail under service it doesn't give me the option to select regular first class mail. I only get an option to pay $1,00 for a large envelope. I am using standard # 10 envelopes.
I am at a loss since I did this a couple weeks ago without a problem.

Very happy to be with Stamps.com. Have used them for many years. Want else do you want me to say?
Each time I log into Stamps.com I have to reload the software program. Then it takes numerous attempts to get my scale to work with the program. I spend time on the phone with tech support and they did somethings that was supposed to fix the problem - it did not. That was several months ago. I called customer support a week or so go and waited on hold for a long time and finally had to hang up as a business call was coming in. If I didn't have dozens of stamp sheets to be used I would just go back to using regular stamps.
We just started using Stamps.com and after sending out two books we're very pleased with the convenience and the professional look of our labeling and package.
No support for OS X users, so we're forced to use the web interface which has extremely limited capabilities. I've contacted customer support several times asking for help and have gotten no help except "move to Windows and use our app." Gee, thanks.
The other huge weakness I've found is that the web interface uses the USPS API to validate addresses, but not all addresses are in that system. My local post office confirmed that several times for me, so if I ask the post office to mail something, they simply tell me the address is almost certainly correct but they can't guarantee delivery. Stamps. Com REFUSES to allow an address they can't validate. I've had to drive to the post office several times to mail something... kind of defeats the purpose of stamps.com. My own business address can't be verified so I had to use one they suggested. One of my large clients, a very large hospital, can't be verified. Supposedly the Windows app allows you to relax the address checking rules but I don't think the web interface provides it.
There doesn't appear to be a way to just get a quote on shipping other than starting an order, putting in the data, getting the value, but then the order can't be deleted (or at least I haven't found a way to delete it).
The interface to the scale is clunky so I just manually enter the weight
The service works most of the time, so I just work around the annoyances and drive to the post office a couple times a week to deal with problems stamps.com isn't willing to address. If I can't figure something out, no sense contacting customer support because all they do is tell me to switch to Windows.
I have been using Stamps.com since the early 1990's. When my parents died in 97, I was able to send out a lot of Thank You notes without looking for stamps. When my daughter graduated from college, I was able to send invitations and Thank You notes without looking for stamps. It is so convenient. The best there is.
Great app. Easy to use and very convenient. I'm wheelchair bound so I don't get out but I'm active with my computer- Stamps.com is just right.
They sent me a trial offer to test "stamps.com" they not only did not give me the 9 stamps promised in my promotional offer, they charged me $1.00 for the one stamp i did print.
I've been using Stamps.com for at least 3 years. The service is great. I like not going to the post office every day. Stamps.com was the best decision that I have made for my business.
We switched from Pitney Bowes, and it was a very smart move.
Convenient, easy, quick, and doable.
We're able to process stamps and shipping labels in the office.
Answer: Yes. SendPro is less expensive per month but you can only print on a printer purchased from them. Stamps.com is usable on a variety of ink jet, laser and thermal printers
Answer: Impossible I call their Customer Service line went through their answering system then put on hold, hung up after waiting 20 min. Sent a comment to the site email, got a response saying they would get back to me in a day or so.
Answer: Stamps.com might as well be called SPAMS.com Good luck trying to cancel the account. Their website directs you to follow the steps noted below in order to cancel, but the "close this account" option SIMPLY does NOT exist! It is not there! You email them and do not get anywhere. You call their phone number and they put you on hold for over 45 minutes! In the meantime, they are charging you! "In Stamps.com Online: Open the My Account drop down menu and select Manage Account. In Stamps.com Windows PC Software: Select the Account Tab. Select the Change/Cancel Plan Tab. Click close this account.
