I purchases a startup I felt passionate about with the same debit card used for the prior purchase. After 11 times re-verifying my debit card the purchase was cancelled and to re by I am on a wait list' I kept telling Meagon the support person the issue was on their end and she wouldn't listen
I invested in Paqui Tequila through start engine of 300.00 at 1.66 a share. I was supposed to receive a email to confirm my email address so I could continue setting up my account but never received it. Now I reach anybody concerning this problem and have been trying for days. The offer has closed and the site is telling me if I didn't confirm my investment basically I jerked out of my money!
1. They do not reply to emails
2. Most of the companies fundraising on their site are scams. Almost all of the companies fail to keep in touch with investors
3. Wefunder and microventures have companies that update investors about their investments and you can actually see their products in stores or on sale
They won't give me my money back, when they took the money they say it's refund guaranteed, now they tell me that it's not their responsibility and they have no second party to buy my shares back. Why didn't you put that on your website with big letters so we all know how we get screwed.?! Don't invest and make someone sit in a yacht with your money. You won't see that money again!
This was my first time trying to invest and I was scammed. They got my money now I can't retrieve any of my e-mails they sent me it's like they just disappeared
Highly fraudulent, stay away do not invest with Start Engine, made the mistake to invest with them on Commerce AI and after a whole week the funds are nowhere to be found. My bank account reflect that the wire transfer was made. Customer service gives me the run around.
They are quick to take your money but once you want to sell you cant Total scam! Don't waste your money on this site invest in the real stock market way easier and accessible
I have not done crowdfunding before and signed up to launch a campaign with startengine. The platform is very easy to use and they have internal legal team that review the filings with the SEC. It's all done very proper and buttoned up, they need a CPA review, bank statements, proof of company good standing and more. I looked at the other available platforms such as WeFunder and SeedInvest and found StartEngine to be the most friendly support staff and easiest to use platform. Will update the review after my raise ends.
Investor beware, business owner beware, do your research. Company needs a new president and senior leadership
