I questioned many of the companies on StartEngine about how much money investors might make by investing with them. Most of them said either they don't know because their company is " new ", or some companies stated that investors would get stocks in the company, approximately 2 to 6 shares. Since the average share in a new company is around $10.00 a share, that is far less then what the average investor is expected to invest. After questioning these companies, it becomes obvious to me that the only ones making any money here are the companies and NOT the investors.To me, this is a BUYER BEWARE investment. ANOTHER strange thing about the StartEngine website is the fact that I've sent at least THREE emails to MR. KEVIN O'LEARY " Mr. Wonderful " from Shark Tank, who is the new executive there, and so far I've received no reply to my questions about these companies he claims to represent. My questions were whether or not these companies are trustworthy or scams. However, since I've received NO reply from him or his office, I guess I already know the answer!

EDIT: I wrote to the people giving 5star reviews and they were completely deleted and the reviews started to be less identical. PLEASE BE WARE, there are b0tss everywhere! The positive reviews only started after negative and true reviews were flooding.

The ppl reviewing this page take a look at their dates, their actual "review" they claim the company responds fast lol, but we actually want to know if they made MONEY, none claim that!
Alsp, they all voted 1 only! And they all review only once!

Hello My name is del and i would like to send a big thank you! Out to Start Eng. For every thing you have done in getting this platform up and going so smoothly WOW you guys are amazing! I started out a couple years ago investing in start ups with three other companys. They all three were not very good at communicating and to be honest i did not feel comfortable investing with them but i did a little until i found Start Eng. Since that day ive deleted every email from all the other guys and have only used St Eng. I really do believe in this concept can you just imagine with me for one min. What your bank roll would like if you could have invested even 500.00 in amazon or tesla when they first started! And ill bet my last dollar that St. Eng. Will find us more than just a few good ones just like them!

Startengine is a great website for those interested in startup investing. I'd never invested in startups prior to Startengine, but am glad I did. There are companies listed from all industries. In addition, you can learn about each company by clicking on their link and reading/watching their campaign materials. If you have doubts about a specific company, Startengine allows you to ask the owners questions. I've learned so much about the process by reading the questions posted by other potential investors who have asked questions I would've never thought of. I've invested over $17,000 in 21 companies and have had nothing but success with the website. Keep in mind that you are taking a risk with every company you invest in, so make sure you are only investing what you could afford to lose in a worse case situation. It is also not a website for those looking to get rich quick like a "day trader." Every company provides a subscription agreement so you will know the exact terms of your investment.

I started investing in start-ups with similar platforms a few years ago. Start Engine is very simple. It provides a simple and quick way to get more details in the startups being promoted and with a couple clicks can invest along with others in some of the greatest innovations of our time. From movie production to artificial intelligence system and more. There is minimum cost "auto" investing which attempts to simplify and diversify your investing. There are also high dollar investing opportunities which are very exciting to participate in. Another key advantage of Start Engine is the weight that Shark Tanks Kevin O'Leary brings to the table. As is the case with all startup investing, you deposit funds and can get those pre-invested funds back. But once you agree to commit to an investment, there is typically no refund. However, Start Engine, like others, emphasize the risks of this sort of investing. It's certainly not for everyone, but if you want to get in at the ground floor by investing in some intriguing products etc., Start Engine is certainly a great platform to do it on. The biggest challenge is deciding whether to take the risk, or stash my money under my pillow and play it safe. I've missed out plenty on the stock market etc., so I've decided to commit some amount of my incoming cash to start-up investing with a plan to research these companies and their management as best as possible before I click the button.

Hi, i am investing with small sums in startups since some years. I am from germany and in the beginning it was dreadful to get the money per wire in the escrows. You never knew, where the money was and when it would arrive. I was active in several wellknown platforms, and it was all the same.
That is today much better in most platforms.
With startengine i saw a very good development in this years. You can invest in a wide range of industries,
They are working out the due diligence of each startup in all directions: Financials, Idea, Team, Competition,
Risks.Its on myself to decudemwhether the wirkd needs this new idea-or not,
When there are questions, you can ask and they will read and understand what you want-- and you get your answer, hint or new question in near time.
You can invest in many different industries, teams and dreams.
The minimum sums are different, often you need only 100 dollars, sometimes the startup wants more,
Most important point: read and read and think.

I have been investing on StartEngine for over 2 years and have invested in over 30 companies (some multiple times). Since these investments carry an extremely high degree of risk, I tend to spread out money over multiple sectors and corporations. There are currently little or no secondary markets for these securities and as such be considered long-term commitments. They should also be considered as part of an overall investment strategy.

I worked in Financial Services for over 35 years and was precluded from investing in "hot" IPO's. The advent of Equity Crowdfunding can be advantageous to both investors and pre-IPO companies seeking investment capital.
Investors also need to realize that equity Crowdfunding is a nascent industry and is evolving rapidly both from an investment perspective and regulatory oversight.

Overall, I have been impressed with StartEngine on multiple levels:

1) Howard Marks, the CEO has been a proponent of the industry and has sponsored webinars, seminars, conferences, company overviews and Q&A sessions. I have participated in some and watched some of the videos of the conferences.
2) Anytime that I have had a question, it has been responded to within a day and often sooner.
3) StartEngine highlights the risk on every investment with a caveat like "This investment is speculative, illiquid, and involves a high degree of risk, including the possible loss of your entire investment."
4) A wide selection of offerings across multiple sectors.
5) Once familiar with the process and platform, it is simple to use. Some investments may require you to be an "accredited investor" which requires additional paperwork due to regulatory issues.

I would also say that prior to investing anything, I did considerable research and reading. I devoured everything on Start Engine's website as well as explanatory articles.

Nine months ago I decided to become an Angel Investor to some of the most exciting startup companies I've ever seen. The world is changing no question about it. I have invested in about 40 companies on StartEngine since October of 2017. I am also an investor in StartEngine itself. I have had no issues with StartEngine support and my questions have always been answered promptly. I have had 7 companies that I invested in voided and my money returned. I also have had one company that is going out of business and I am only going to get back about 10% of my investment. You must understand that investing with startups is risky and you should never invest money that you cannot afford to lose. I invest knowing that I may not see any results for 3 to 5 years or that I may see no returns at all.
I feel comfortable with StartEngine knowing that I am an investor in StartEngine along with Kevin O'Leary, Mr. Wonderful. He is not just a spokesperson but also an investor that is excited about the potential of StartEngine itself. For the people that gave bad reviews I believe most of them are because the people have not researched the the risks and rewards of this type of investment enough.

- As a frequent user of this site I attached a screenshot.
- The number of companies to invest they have is high, compared with other sites.
- It is NOT a trading platform, so don't go there expecting to buy and sell shares. It is focused on enabling startups with your money.
- The platform is easy to use and very straightforward, and it offers a lot of discounts for investing early on for investors on the platform.
- Their customer support despite being a bit slow, it is very detailed and focused on solving your needs. The other day I needed a document that they do not offer on their website, they took a while to respond but they went above and beyond to provide me with a report that I could use for my needs. Both times I contacted support they have been a bit slow but I ended up 100% satisfied with the outcome and the help, so it is good quality support.
- There were 2 times that I canceled investments on companies after some additional research and I received my money back because I did it before the money was invested. But I avoid doing that, do the due diligence first before purchasing any investment.
- Do not expect to sell your investment in the near future, most of the investments in startups are for years before they can be sold again, so take this into consideration, it is not a trading platform ( at the moment).
- Most of the companies, if not all, that I invested in, send me updates about the status of the company.

In my personal experience, It is my favorite platform for long term investments, and I will keep adding to the portfolio as long as economically makes sense to me.

StartEngine it's very easy to invest. U just have to know little be, some company's that asking for money in StartEngine have not to do with the website. StartEngine it's kind a middle man between you and company that u are investing. Some people not sure if are stupid or just pretending to be one. Lol people if u want invested start engine it's safe and easy but read more they have everything there expoliam how works don't be afraid to ask question before any investment they are put fast in reply ur question. I being using start engine over a year now and out happy so far, some deals never going to find any place or next decade like company called PISTOL... check that out...

I have been an active investor on start engine platform. I have invested in over 50 companies. There is a good selectionIt is very easy to navigate the investment document, as long as the rules are followed. It is one of my favorite platforms.
The staff is readily available to answer any questions. I would definitely recommend StartEngine as one safe site for start up investments. All investors need to understand that there are risks involved in investing on some startups, so one needs to invest an amount that you are willing to lose. I have had no problems what so ever with refunds if I cancelled an investment within the specified date.
