I walked into First group offices not knowing what to expect but to my ultimate surprise, I found a group of friendly consultants who immediately put me at ease. I felt everybody from my consultant Mr. Tyler Humphreys and his immediate boss Mr. Mohammed made sure I understood every aspect of their business module. The personal tour right from the offices to the construction site was a truly delightful unforgettable experience.

Yesterday, shortly after arriving in Dubai with my family, I had an experience that mirrored almost exactly what another traveler had warned about. At the airport, Mr El Hadi Azzoune approached us with what sounded like a simple, harmless invitation: a one-hour visit to the "Ciel" project given its recent opening. Nothing was presented as a sales pitch, no suggestion that we were signing up for anything. Just a quick tour, supposedly.
Instead, that "one hour" turned into five exhausting hours being shuttled between offices and construction sites, with no transparency and no option to leave. At the so-called Ciel visit, we weren't even allowed to see anything. They simply took us into a coffee shop, told us we couldn't go upstairs, and then shifted us into a series of conversations we never asked for, presentations about Dubai real estate, investment packages, and other topics we had zero interest in.
The whole situation felt staged and manipulative:
Pressure,
Urgency,
A carefully controlled environment,
And absolutely no space to think, breathe, or check information.
People being screened based on how much cash they can invest, being rushed into decisions, being pushed with luxury settings, and being told the "offer is valid only today." The atmosphere is clearly designed to overwhelm people emotionally, especially those who might be more vulnerable to pressure, and to prevent any independent research or outside advice.
By the time we finally managed to get out, I felt not only misled but deeply disappointed. What was meant to be a simple arrival day turned into an exhausting ordeal that none of us had signed up for.
Based on this experience alone, I cannot in good conscience recommend the group that approached us. And to be completely honest, this has changed my overall impression of Dubai. When something that looks welcoming at first turns out to be a high-pressure commercial trap, it creates a feeling that the entire environment is built on illusion rather than hospitality. After what happened yesterday, I personally have no desire to invest in Dubai, buy property there, or even return as a tourist.
What happened felt deceptive, manipulative, and profoundly disappointing. In my opinion, the people behind these tactics should be ashamed of such practices, they damage not only individuals, but Dubai's reputation as a whole.

Really not happy with company FirstGroup. From starting my interaction with company, they never fulfilled what they promise. I feel, company is making fool to customers from place landing at Dubai Airport to their Dubai Complementary tour etc.

Our experience with the first group was superb from the moment we stepped foot into Dubai. All the places we were taken too and explanation of everything, we also had a wonderful time with our host Ramzi. The first group has some incredible investment opportunities.

We were first approached by a First group agent in Dubai Mall, who told, we will get a small tour lasting for an hour in there new Ceil Hotel and how we can invest in there properties.
Later on when we reached the office next day the narrative changed completely, and they told it will take 3 hours and was taken under pressure that we should invest on the same day. It was our vacation especially our Anniversary, but they wasted so much of our energy and time that it ruined our whole day.
It was an awesome experience looking at concept which then gets reflected in reality within a couple of minutes.

We did not have the opportunity to conduct our own due diligence. Although we have reached out to pursue the investment, representatives have disappointingly failed to contact us.
I was of the impression that the invitation was for a tour of a new hotel within the group.
The first encounter, during the visit, turned up to be about potential investment in UAE.
Then a visit to a hotel at Palm Island were were shown the beach and a double bedroom suite.
We were then introduced to a "manager" who offered us a $*******. 00 5 day per annum time share with a requirement for an up front $7000. 00 down payment, reduced to $2500. 0, with the balace payable over 2 years.
I found it odd to be expected to pay the up front down payment, which was said to be a special offer valid for that day or so, considering that the holiday package had neverbeen on my plans.
I would recommend that the sales people, who invite potential clients, fully explain what the invitation is for. That is: 1) potential investment opportunities & 2)holiday time share membership
