Thrive is way hyped up and just did not meet my expectations. Definitely good if you an influencer and are receiving free items and or paid to purchase and give reviews, but for the regular people…it's definitely all hype.

After the first order/free trial, I tried to cancel but stayed when their retention marketing chatbot offered an entire year for $9 so I stayed. Our household is only two adults. I find it to be just an online Trader Joe's but pricier with very, very small items. We have had 3 orders so far. It's mostly snack food and anything cold (frozen) costs way too much to ship unless you hit a high price for free shipping so we're not interested in that. I really didn't appreciate that you had to sign up before even seeing their selection of items. I was thinking they had fresh produce (they do not) and better selections of meats/fish (only a few frozen options with high shipping costs). I don't love that they advertise as affordable but a single-serving bag of peanut butter pretzels is $6. Most of the snacks are teeny tiny but cost the same as family-sized portions. There are some good snacks but we are still spending the same amount on full grocery trips so it just feels like a luxury add-on and not an essential subscription. Packaging is insane - I know it's to keep everything safe but with an order of ~20 items our trash and recycling are full of packaging. They individually wrap things in mile-long rolls of brown paper. It feels a little silly to go through all of that for snacks. We'll keep ordering for fun but won't be renewing after the year is up.

It says I've saved over $159 dollars so far from my first order... ummmm, well, we can debate that. Also, at the checkout, it said if I 'ship now' vs my regular ship date, I'll save an additional $17(ish). So I went ahead and shipped now. Saw no difference in my credit card charge...
I'm sure it's a lovely company and I'll definitely try it again, but so far based on these, I will watch my charges and savings closely.

Poor customer service from abroad, of course. Bring customers back to the USA. Gift with purchase doesn't work most of the times / not offered. Products are relatively expensive for what they are and often found cheaper elsewhere. The auto replenish is annoying and if one is not careful, it auto-ships the entire cart in a month. By default they have this "worker safety" surcharge fee on all orders. You can turn it off but by default they add it. Thrive misleadingly does the above to squeeze every penny from you while paying a $60/yr membership - as if that was not enough in itself.

Prices are more than local grocery stores who deliver and it stated EBT/SNAP was accepted. Apparently just a few areas not all states. Really wish I didn't spend the membership fee now knowing this.
Also, the fact that you have to purchase 2 of each item in order to receive a "deal" is not a deal!

Thrive Market needs to have more accurate suggested retail prices. I'm constantly seeing products even with the discount is a lot cheaper at my local store. I know they price match but why would I pay for a subscription to get something at my local store for free.

I came on to buy just the few items I can't get anywhere else. Now at checkout it seems it forces me to autistic. Of course, it tells me I can quit at any time. I didn't want to start to begin with. This will be my last order for sure.

I have been using Thrive for maybe 4 months now. I do love their products and I love the idea that I can do my shopping online, not have to go anywhere, find great new items that I would not normally try and their prices aren't bad either. And, my 2 yo son like their items too. However, I order both pantry and frozen monthly. My employment only pays once monthly, so I try to order everything for the whole month in one order. So, when I order both pantry and frozen and my frozen order comes a week or two later than my pantry order, you can imagine how financially challenging that is. I can't do anything with buns and no burger...so I then I have to go to the store and buy more frozen foods, that I wouldn't need, if my frozen box arrived on time. My last frozen order arrived two whole weeks after I ordered it and everything was thawed out. Sure, I got a credit to my account, but that doesn't help me and my toddler eat for now three weeks of no frozen foods. I will definitely be finding another online option that can get my frozen order to me, in a timely manner.

Thrive Market ought to pay me for my time wasted shopping on their website. There used to be a well-functioning website, where shopping was a breeze, but for like the last 6 months it has gone haywire.
First I hate the subscription option button on each item. It is very confusing because it is placed where you would normally click to order a one-time only purchase. After fiddling around, I figured out how to remove and item on the subscription but then tried to remove the whole subscription service and it is impossible to do, so I am always getting reminders when my next delivery will be. Then I stress about what are they charging me for. Also their PayPal option doesn't work most of the time. I have no problem using it while purchasing on other websites. And last, lately my essentials are often out of stock. This will be my last order

I like the products I order from Thrive, but I hate when it's time for my order to review, you have put things in my cart that I would never order and I have to delete them. You have no right to put anything in my cart - EVER. And this time, I had my order ready, checked it and the price because I'm on a limited budget, and now that it is processed it is about $15 higher than it was when I checked it yesterday. I will not be renewing when my subscription is up for those reasons. I like the products, but there is absolutely no need for this deceptive marketing, and for that reason you will be losing me as a customer.

Feeling screwed from day 1.
The $60 subscription offer is not $60. It is "up to $60" from a list of stupid items to select from that are not even worth close to $60.
On top of that, they advertise huge discounts, that are completely disconnected from prices in the market. Showing me an article at $3.25 vs $6.99 regular price. That article is at $3.99 everywhere.

Heavy synthetic fragrance on food items. I am a doctor of epidemiological studies and I cannot express more emphatically to you or how bad this is for your neuroendocrine system. Anyone with any kind of chronic or autoimmune illness needs to stay very far away from these types of scents especially on food. There needs to be a lot better oversight contamination. The second issue is that they use on trac so good luck getting your deliveries in any kind of timely manner. You may think to yourself, I'll just purchase some frozen items because surely they will have to arrive on time and nope, they will still arrive leaking and getting all over anything it touches. Not fun when you live in Bear country.

I found the portions of the products to be far too small for the average American diet of 2,000 calories per the price point of the products. I understand they're a higher quality, but it just isn't a viable alternative to brick-and-mortar grocery stores when you're on a budget.

Site is really difficult to use, difficult to accept my credit card! Somehow things got in my cart I did not put there! Shouldn't have to keep taking things out. Won't take dates just keep asking over and over for the same thing.

I think Thrive offers a lot of value. However, I dislike how things can get set to autoship without your realizing it, how it automatically renewed my membership when I'm pretty sure I disabled that, and how their bribe/credit to keep my membership had a short expiration date I almost missed. I don't like this way of doing business and I'd rather just go to the store.
