This is the first time I have used Watch Repairs USA and I was impressed by the easy dispatch, feedback during transit, inspection, etc right through to getting my repaired watch back again. It came back with a repaired wristband, new crystal and cleaned/polished. Care was obviously applied throught. Will surely send them my another watch.
I sent this company my vintage MOVADO watch for repair over a year ago (March 2021). I paid them almost $1,000 for service. Absolutely no follow up. No watch. Customer Service provides no information when I inquire. I get the same message over and over again. Half the time the messages contradict each other with regard to what the status of the repairs that I requested. I've requested my watch back several times along with a refund of all amounts paid. Goes unresponsive. I'm ready to call a lawyer. These people are crooks.

Hi David. We apologize that you were dissatisfied with your experience. Our technicians tried several times to repair your watch, but ultimately were unable to fix it. We apologize that this took an extended length of time. We gave you a full refund on the repair and shipped it back to you yesterday. We apologize for the inconvenience.
These people knew before I sent my watch to them what it would cost. If I had that info I never would have sent it to them. They made a big deal of getting me an 'estimate', even sending me two reminders to send the watch to them. They wanted to charge me $29 for $4.50 battery and double the cost of my shipping to them, to return the watch. Once they had the watch, they had leverage. I told them to keep it. I don't recommend this company to anyone. Go elsewhere!
The whole thing was handled poorly.
Hi Greg. We apologize that you were disappointed with your experience. We must inspect your watch before giving a proper estimate, so we had you send it in. As for shipping costs, we charge based on the UPS insured value of your watch. You can always send us your own shipping label. If you would like us to repair your watch still or send it back, please let us know.
Absolutely terrible outfit. They sat on my watch for 20 days, while stating that it takes 5 to 10 days for them to complete an estimate. Every time I contacted them, they sent a standard reply that they were waiting for the price of the parts. I told them twice that the watch was running 3 minute too fast and did not need parts, only cleaning and adjustment. Finally, I requested that they just ship the watch back to me, and they charged me $30 for shipment while USPS Flat Rate is $9.45. That is how, I think, they make money - by not doing any work and swindling clients for shipping costs.
Hi Boris. We apologize that you were dissatisfied with your experience and the extended length of time to get your estimate. The UPS shipping value includes insurance, so the value of your watch impacts that price. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience.
Sent my watch in waited more then 2 months, they never repaired the issue and charged me for something that I could of done anywhere
Hi Ben. We apologize that you were dissatisfied with your experience with our company. Could you please let me know what your repair number was? This would allow me to better assist you.
I paid $634 to repair my Chase Durer 1000XL UDT. The crown had to be replaced, but they refused to send me a picture of the replacement parts. The quartz movement was allegedly beyond repair, so they put in a new quartz movement that doesn't go with my watch. Notice the date window in the pictures provided. The date currently sits at an angle and when the date displays double digits. You can't even see the entire date.
This process took 5 months and as I mentioned. I paid $634 for repairs, not replacement with non-matching parts. The quartz replacement was never even communicated to me. I specifically wanted a full repair at a reputable (or so I thought) watch repair shop so I could continue to use this watch for what it's intended for. Often times, that means underwater. However, they recommend that I avoid water. Even steam or moisture. $634 to repair my Underwater Demolition Team Diver's watch, but avoid water, steam, and moisture...
Save yourself the time and money. Go elsewhere! Their site makes it look like they cater to all watch brands, they don't. Communication is absolutely horrible. Pricing doesn't match the website (not even close). Complete overhaul starting at $79? Battery replacement starting at $19? $300 for my "overhaul" alone, which was just a swap out. $29 for my battery replacement because I guess it was just a special kind of battery? Stem and crown for $200, not even Chase Durer parts.
My experience with the repair of my Gucci bangle watch was great. The watch was restored back to its circa 1985 glory. Now my daughter can enjoy it.
They kept me informed throughout the process.
Hi Margie. We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with your experience. We would be happy to repair any other watch of yours in the future.
Unbelievably I found my wife a Tissot $1700 watch at the low price of $5.00 obviously it was not in working condition but thanks to watch repair USA, for the low sum of around $200 they fixed a watch the local jeweler said couldn't be fixed. My wife loves the watch and the job watch repair USA did on it.
Thank y'all
Hi Scott. We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with our company and that your wife loves the repaired watch. We would be happy to service any other watch of yours in the future.
I recently sent this Vendor a Howard Pocket Watch that has been in my family for almost 90 years and had belonged to my grandfather. I sent it to them based on recommendations of a friend and research on the Web.
The communication between us was kept open as repairs proceeded and expected return. The watch was returned, and all repairs and cleaning done as requested. I have nothing but great things to say about Watch Repair U.S. A
I have a couple of other watches to be repaired and will be sending soon and I have faith that they will be handled in the same manner
Hi Steve. We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with our company and your repaired watch. We would be happy to service any other watch of yours in the future.
I was charged for waterproofing the watch but the instructions told me not to wear the watch in the water.
Hi Joe. We apologize that you were dissatisfied with your experience with our company. As stated in the estimate, we replaced the gaskets and tested for water resistance. Unfortunately, your watch did not pass the test. In general, water resistance is not a guarantee for any timepiece. We hope you were satisfied with the rest of your repair.
The company did a nice job on replacing crystal that was broken on my
Favorite watch. They cleaned up the watch and replaced the battery. It did take a
While to get the watch back, but I'm ok with that. Also pleased with the mailing and price.
Hi Carol. We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with our company. We would be happy to service any other watch of yours in the future.
They said they could repair my watch so I went ahead and paid for the repair work. When they sent the watch back it ran slow so I returned it to them. Once more they sent it back running slow. The watch ran so slow that it was obvious that they did not even check it before sending it back to me. When I asked for a refund they said they don't guarantee their work - so they obviously lied when they said they could repair it. I then sent the watch to a verified repair center which fixed the watch and reported that Watch Repairs USA had not only installed a defective mechanism, they had scratched the face of the watch. Check the BBB warning for them. They have been reported to the Illinois Attorney General Consumer Fraud unit. Hopefully someone will put these people in jail.
I sent my fathers old wristwatch in for repairs in August of 2021. I was promised "12 weeks" (which should have been my first warning!)
It is now the end of January 2022 and they have not repaired the watch OR returned it!
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
Hi Lee. We apologize that you were dissatisfied with your experience. Due to the delay of getting the correct watch parts, repairing your watch took more time than we originally anticipated. We do say that all repair times are an estimate. Hopefully the repaired watch that you received in early February met your needs.
I broke the stem (the exterior knob that is turned to adjust the time or date) off my $400 Cyma watch and sent it to Watch Repairs USA for an estimate on replacing it. They came back with a bid (see below) of $599.96 for "everything" they thought it needed. Mind you, it was keeping perfect time, I was having absolutely no problems with it. It had been overhauled just two years earlier, battery replaced 3 months ago, When I got the bid, I told them NO, all I wanted was the stem replaced. Even $99 for that seemed exorbitant. But, they weren't interested in doing such a small job. They offered to cut the $600 price by $70. I asked them to send it back. They advertise no charge for the bid or even shipping. They sent a free mailing label to ship it to them. BUT... if you want it back you have to pay $20.88 return shipping "and handling." Here's their bid:
Brand: Cyma
Notes: Update-$70 Courtesy Discount provided. Crown must be replaced to protect movement going forward. Complete servicing is required. Watch is not functioning properly and movement should be restored to optimal factory standards. Replace battery, gaskets and test water resistance. Approximate repair time is 4-8 weeks from approval. Polishing is performed as best as possible depending on watch finish and condition.

Hi Matt. We apologize that you were dissatisfied with your experience. The repair technicians found that an overhaul was required to complete your repair. We also inform our customers that they are responsible for return shipping. You are always welcome to provide your own shipping label if that cost is too high.
I sent my Ball watch in for an overhaul. They provided the shipping label; then written estimate; then the repair and return shipping. The process took about 6 weeks.
Hi James. We are happy to hear that you were satisfied with your experience. We appreciate your review.
I'M SCARED AFTER READING THESE REVIEWS. WILL UPDATE WHEN DONE. I SENT OFF MY MICHELLE WATCH FOR REPAIR. EVEN HAD TO CALL TO ASK FOR ESTIMATE. WAS LIKE 2 WEEKS AND STILL HADEN'T HEARD FROM THEM. IT CAME OUT TO $90 FOR A BEZZELE REPAIR WHICH I'M OK WITH. HOPEFULLY ALL WILL BE OK. I WILL STAY POSITIVE. I WILL UPDATE WHEN I GET MY WATCH BACK. I WOULD REALLY REALLY REALLY HATE TO GIVE A BAD REVIEW, THAT WOULD MEAN I HAD A BAD BAD EXPERIENCE. FINGERS CROSSED.
Hi Allen. Sometimes it takes longer to obtain pricing on specific watch parts. Our customer service is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every weekday if you want any status update. We hope the watch you received shortly after this review met your expectations.
Not sure why all the negative reviews. Luckily I didn't read them until after I had already sent the watch in. I found my grandpa's old vulcain, manual wind chronograph. The watch had been sitting for 10 years and was not keeping time at all, the case was in bad shape and it needed a new crystal. I sent the watch in, and had great communication during the shipping / receiving process. I got an accurate estimate. It was not cheap, but watch repair is not easy. I can appreciate the skill (and risk) to open up an unknown watch with the promise to fix it. This isn't a warranty repair on an apple watch, this is like MAJOR heart surgery.
Watch was restored / rebuilt and returned within 6 weeks. The case was polished (looks awesome), crystal replaced (perfect) and the watch is keeping time. I couldn't be happier with the results. I am not sure if YMMV depending on which technician works on your watch. But I will not hesitate to work with WatchRepairUSA again. Be suspicious of these negative reviews... I have literally nothing negative to say.
TLDR;
They did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. I am happy. 5 gold stars
Hi. We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with your experience. If you have any other needed repairs in the future, we would be happy to help.
Sent these guys 5 reverso rotary watches for battery replacement after my local guys tried to replace batteries and had difficulty. Watches were brand new. They ended up charging over 700, replaced movement, crystals, and finally batteries. They pass themselves off as rotary authorized and not. After 4 months, finally got them and they're no longer water proof either and paid double shipping as sent in two packages. Beware! Took 4months as well
Hi Albert. We apologize that you were dissatisfied with your experience. We do not start repairing until we receive a payment. With your quantity of watches, the repair time took longer than we originally anticipated. We apologize for that inconvenience. Additionally, we cannot guarantee water resistance. We hope you were satisfied with your repaired watches.
Had an eta 2824 that was three years old that i hand wound to much and the reverser gears needed lubricated as the rotor was spinning when hand wound. Included this info in my notes upon shipping.the estimate was $402.00 for an un needed rebuild. Declined the rebuild and had them send it back at a cost of $22.00. Got the watch back and removed the rotor and winding bridge and treated the reverser gears with lubeta v105 and was fixed and winding in 30 minutes. I feel that they are charging to send the watch in and back at their steep shipping fee and then to hit you with a complete rebuild that i felt was uneeded just to make money off of you.on top of that it took two months to get the watch back. I would not ever recommend them for any watch repair as i think it is kind of a scam.
Hi Jim. We apologize that you were dissatisfied with your experience. The shipping prices are based on your watches insured value. You are always welcome to send in your own shipping label if that is preferred.
I was quoted 344 dollars for a fix on a watch that cost 500 bucks. A Movado Tom O. Repair #*******. In case you have trouble finding the order. After asking for a discount they said no and it was 25 bucks to ship it back. I sat on it for 1-2 weeks and they discounted the repair 50 bucks. I never felt comfortable with this company especially Sandra. I specifically sent an email asking ALL PARTS be returned with the watch and Sandra said the techs ALWAYS return all parts. No parts were returned and I'm not at all shocked. After another Email exchange she said she would have a tech get back
To me. Did the tech? No, it was Sandra, again. She told me they only typically send back watch bands. The invoice stated they replaced the crystal, stem and crown, battery, and seals and gaskets. I doubt they did. I'm only writing this because I told Sandra I would give a fair review, here it is.
Hi Matt. We apologize that you were dissatisfied with your experience. We do not typically return old batteries or broken crystals. All repairs were completed as stated, so we did replace the crystal, stem and crown, battery, and seals and gaskets. Hopefully your returned watch is fixed to your needs. If you have any problems, you have a 1 year warranty from the time your watch was returned.
Answer: They are a real company, just a horrible and unethical one
Answer: Watch Repairs USA is responsible to actually repair the watch and send it back. As of today Watch Repair USA has my money AND my Watch. It was sent on February 27,2020. Today is August 3rd 2020. I filled everything out correctly and got the first e-mail saying my watch and order was received. The 'STATUS'has remained unchanged for 4+ months as çheck back or we will send you an e-mail for the update. SO far NOTHING and no reply from the company to my e-mail inquiries. SO can't blame the customer for this. Sounds like THEFT to me!
Hi Roger. We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with your repair. We would be happy to service any other watch of yours in the future.
