This website is terrible. Items sat on the page for so long, I ran out of storage space and donated the item. The website won't let me delete the item and now I get informed it sold. No, they need to refund them and delete my account like I asked several times. They just want to play the email game of we will reach out to you later.
The seller's responses suggest they were aware of the sizing issue before listing the item. Their communication was dismissive and unprofessional. I escalated the matter to Poshmark customer service, expecting the platform's buyer protection policies to be upheld, but my return request was denied despite evidence that the item did not match the original description. I also contacted the Better Business Bureau, which did not result in a resolution. Overall, this was a disappointing experience.
I am writing to formally complain about my recent experience with Poshmark, which has left me extremely dissatisfied and frustrated with your company's customer service, buyer protection practices, and overall handling of disputes. I purchased a pair of shoes that were advertised by the seller as "like new." Upon receiving the item, it was immediately clear that the shoes were used and did not match the condition described in the listing. Additionally, the shoes did not fit as represented, it was not true to size and about one inch too small and were completely unwearable. These issues rendered the item useless and clearly demonstrate misrepresentation by the seller. When I contacted the seller, he refused to accept a return and made repeated comments acknowledging that the item did not fit properly. These responses strongly suggest the seller was aware of the sizing issue prior to listing the item. The seller's communication was dismissive and unprofessional. I escalated the issue to Poshmark customer service, expecting the platform to uphold its buyer protection standards. Despite clear evidence that the item did not match the description provided at the time of sale, my return request was denied. I also sought assistance through the Better Business Bureau, which did not result in a resolution. What I find particularly unacceptable is that Poshmark advised me to simply relist the item as a solution. This suggestion ignores the fact that the item was misrepresented to begin with and shifts the burden and risk entirely onto the buyer. Encouraging relisting under these circumstances appears to serve only one purpose: allowing Poshmark to collect additional fees on the same item. This behavior reflects nothing short of corporate greed and a disregard for fair and ethical treatment of customers. As a buyer, I find it deeply concerning that Poshmark would side with a seller in a case involving obvious misrepresentation and then propose a solution that benefits the platform financially while leaving the customer at a loss. The handling of this case by customer service has been incompetent, dismissive, and inconsistent with the buyer protection standards Poshmark claims to uphold.
I have been a seller on Poshmark for many years and I used to make really good money selling on the platform. A couple years ago a Japanese tech company bought Poshmark and it has been all down hill from there. As time went on, my sales got worse and worse. I noticed a huge decline in sales after they started the live shows. I am not a live show seller nor do I want to be. In the past few months poshmark has made several changes that dried up sales even more. It became so bad, that it was not worth the time to list on there anymore. I am done selling on Poshmark. I am taking all of my business to Ebay, where I actually make money.
Wrong item sent. Seller wouldn't respond and Customer Service refused to acknowledge fraudulent advertising. Buyer beware.
Received order from Poshmark that I didn't purchase. Item was in transit once I noticed this charged. I contacted them to tell them and send me a return shipping label. Opened the package to ship it back and the item smelled so bad of mildew and mothballs! This item was totally unwearable for someone to wear due to the stench. Couldn't believe they actually sent this item out if someone was going to purchase. Not only was the purchase unauthorized they were sending a toxic material out. My original complaint was for the fraud and second was my concern for someone ordering this. They still never refund me and keep transferring me to different people. Beware and don't trust!
Customer service is horrible. And their system will disable your account if you fail to make a sale within a week. My account was disabled. I just started listing my items for sale. One user didn't like that I turned his offer down. He was low balling me. Poshmark is terrible. I agree with comments from BBB reviews about Poshmark. It's bad for sellers too. Don't use or trust anyone on that App.
Do Not Buy on Poshmark! Unlike other reselling sites, Poshmark does not offer anything close to buyer protection. Negative reviews about buyers' experiences are NOT published. The site does not offer a way to talk to a live person for help. The site does not require sellers of clothing to rate their offerings according to site established criteria and does not protect you from sellers who outright lie. The description said the item was in great condition. I submit that a 4" X 1" stain on the front of a pair of pants disqualifies an item from excellent or great. Moreover, sellers are free to lie to you about an item being shipped and the site does nothing. Just don't waste your time or money.
Bought a beautiful coat, hang tag still on, but handwritten, by the sell the size M. L... when it arrived way too big. Took the measurements using poshmarks size charts, and definitely a large... poshmark denied the return,,, claiming I should have asked this seller for the measurements first. Also the seller took the funds before I accepted the offer, so unless poshmark has changed that policy, she violated it... when I added this complain to my return request, they denied that issue. Very dishonest site, and seller. Poshmark asked if I wanted to "reposh"... almost laughable... I have blocked the site from my email... beware
Don't waste your time and your money here. Terrible customer service. Misleading pictures of items. Unclear information re condition of items. Often sold above retail prices.
Better resale sites available. Do your own research.
I purchased an item from a seller. It smelled so bad from cigarette smoke that I can't even keep it in the house. Poshmark told me that they can't verify the smell, so I'm out the $55.00. All buyers beware, this is one shady outfit. I have contacted my CC company, and they are looking into it. I am sure after seeing all the reviews, I will get my money back. BUYER BEWARE!
They claim a Dooney and Bourke handbag I was selling was fake but on their site I found the same bag previously sold.
I trusted a seller named Sharon Peachmoon on Poshmark. She sold me an item that was six times smaller than advertised and because it was mislabeled Poshmark would not refund me. This was a really bad business decision on their part. I deleted my account and will never do business with them again. They are liars and thieves, and should not be trusted.
I ordered over $300 from 1 seller in 4 different Live Posh shows. The first order came missing items, I messaged seller and she agreed to give me credit at next purchase. The next order came missing items, a new Nike shirt came stained and used but was supposed to be NWTags, bras I bought size 42 came fitting my teen daughter who wears a 36. I opened a case... in the meantime time, the other orders came... missing items, 2 new in box shower heads came crammed in one box, WITH NO ACTUAL SHOWER HEADS... just the hardware and the long cords for water flow. I opened another case. Meanwhile, bits and pieces of missing items came 2 weeks after purchase(with 3 day delivery... yea, right!), still not correct, I requested to return ALL ORDERS. Iwas livid at that point! Poshmark made me send pics, email after email, it was anightmare! They finally denied all my cases, even with photos of the items. THEY ARE OUT FOR THEMSELVES ONLY! They didnt want to accept my returns and lose their profit, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Im now fighting the charges with my bank TOTAL FRAUD! The more I look into Poshmark, the more Im finding THIS IS STANDARD BEHAVIOR FROM THEM! They allow sellers to sell junk and make them profit, they don't care about the buyers WHATSOEVER!
The listing says Zimmerman the items received were junk brands none of them Zimmermam. I as a purchaser will never buy from Poshmark again. Sellers deliberately mislabel their adds and Postmark supports the seller and you end up with junk to take to goodwill and out of your hard earned $. Postmark allows sellers to cheat customers and you can't warn others either because the seller blocks you as soon as they are called out and Postmark only allows positive reviews so you never know who will screw you next because all the sellers ratings are bull$#*!. Seller Tammyposh💝💝 u/ladybug5626
Is scamming people and has the support of Postmark. FYI
The worst agent in their platform is ZURI that's one horrible and pathetic person who makes mistake with my case so because he knew what he done they simply stope answering to my emails and they block my account LOL by the way I'm their ambassador lol… they are so pathetic and so rude that does not exist anywhere but that Zuri person he, she or them knew what he done and on top he treated me as stupid and unintelligent women so he or she simply decided not to proceed with what is fair even if I prove them everything they've asked for! Liers!
I purchased a pair of John Varvatos deck shoes *******@givemeabrewski. The shoes were nothing like what was shown (pics below).
I contacted Poshmark twice with no response. I will never recommend Poshmark to any one and will never do business with them again.
I have been a Poshmark customer since 2013, and yesterday, I had the worst experience. A seller intentionally misrepresented an item, listing it as large size. But when I received the item, it was a medium. I submitted a return request but Poshmark denied it saying I should have asked more questions. The size "large" was literally in the product title. What questions could I have asked to ensure the seller wasn't lying? "Hi, seller? Are you lying about the size stated in the product title?"
Beware of Poshmark's "My Promoted Closet" program. It costs money. A lot of money. You won't get what you paid for.
They show you numbers. They look good. They aren't. The return on investment breakdown is dishonest. They count your total sales before taking their 20% cut. That makes the profit seem higher. It isn't. Intentional misrepresentation.
We believed in it. We thought it would work. We waited. We paid. We watched. Nothing changed.
We ran tests to see our "Promoted Items". Friends searched for our listings. The results were the same. Our promoted items were nowhere to be seen. The "Other Items You May Like" banner was filled with other sellers' listings, but not ours.
Hundreds of dollars a month we were charged by Poshmark. And still, nothing. Participating under the "Promoted Closet" program, Posh ended up making more than half of every dollar we sold. This represents an unstainable business model based purely on unfettered abject greed.
After a number years on Poshmark we're done. We're now selling elsewhere.
Purchased a size 9.5 womans Adidas...recvd them only to find out they were a MANS 9.5. I immediately contacted the seller Who agreed there was a problem, we both alerted poshmark. I entered the hospital... But still trying to handle business. Poshmark ask me for a photo I sent them the one the Seller had listed... They asked me for a photo of the INSIDE of the shoe...I explained I was in the hospital... Ask them to contact the seller...and later that day they DENIED my return. So I am out $61. They simply do not care! NEVER AGAIN! This is NOT an isolated issue...you cannot even CALL them...the listed phone # doesnot work...Contacted BBB...Got the REAL phone #...they do NOT answer...they even TELL you that on the recording...AND the mailbox is full...WHAT TO DO? DON'T SHOP THERE!
They do false advertising and then they would not give you a refund of your money or a return option. They take forever to answer the requests and to solve the cases under review. Their costumer service is the worst! In conclusion, this company is not trustworthy at all, avoid them for God's sake!
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
