Awful customer service!
November 10, 2015

Absolutely no regard for a customer! Ordered a children's pants, used it twice and washed it AS PER INSTRUCTIONS, (I am very careful with my laundry) the item pimpled immediately and all over. Looked really awful. Call them up, emailed them pictures-as they requested, waited until the case was reviewed just to hear the no. They wouldn't allow an exchange or give me a refund or any other compensation. I called back spoke to another manager, then the supervisor, gave it all my time and energy only because I knew I was completely right, and all i heard was "we apologize, there's nothing we can do."
I'm extremely frustrated...

I ordered quite a few things from the website and it was a terrible experience. When my package got to the post office it was inexplicably sent back to the company and no one could tell me why. I could not get any answers. No one offered me any sort of discount of compensation and I felt like an idiot for ever shopping there in the first place. I ended up having to cancel my order. I don't understand how people can run a business like this.

Online Order
November 2, 2015

Very poor quality of service. I ordered a product online via the Dutch Zara Home Website as I am living in Amsterdam, I was normally charged for my ordered, I went myself to pick up my order and only then I was informed that the product needs 10 days to be delivered even though there were same products available at the store, but I could not take one of them. I never received any e-mail on behalf of Zara home informing me about the order number, delivery status and also about the waiting time of 10 working days. Waiting 10 days for a product that is already available locally sounds more than stupid. But unfortunately it happened to me, as the company fails to provide sufficient information in advance. When I contacted the company to ask for reasons for this situation and utter lack of information, only then I received an email mentioning just my order number and not even an apology or explanation. I completely regret that I ordered a product from Zara Home and of course I wont repeat it again.

Horrible.
November 1, 2015

I went to the location at Square One with my special needs child, We had purchased 2 pairs of pants, regular pricemay I add. For his birthday, they did not fit him properly and I asked if we could get a store credit due to the fact that the style just didnt look good on him, and because it was 9 days over the 30 day reciept, the looked me in the face and said I can't do anytthing about it! Really are we kidding... it says no where on the reciept that after 30 days there is no store credit, I told her I was going to throw or donate them with the tickets attached, manager did not care. What a heart... and might I add horrible customer service. Never going back.

I ordered 6 items, received only 5 in the mail. The box had not been tampered with. Called Zara immediately and registered a complaint. Several follow-up phone calls later, they said that they checked with the merchandizing center and do not find an error at their end. Are the items added in to a box and packaged by an error-free machine? Is it not possible that someone at their end mistakenly scanned an item to add but did not include it in the box before sending it out? They are not refunding my money. Why should I have to pay for this? I found their customer service reps to be generally polite and patient but at the end of the day I am having to pay for an error that I did not make - and that is unfair. If the error is not at your end or at your loyal customer's end, at least offer cover half the costs! They have lost a loyal customer in me.

I bought a suede waistcoat from which several of the fringes fell off the first time I wore it. The store weren't interested so I contacted head office who said I could send it to them ( at my own expense) to be 'reviewed.'I received a very cursory email several days later to say that the damage was due to 'wear and tear' and it was being sent back to me!. I spoke to a 'manager' who was obviously completely uninterested!
What terrible quality if they think this is acceptable?! Rubbishy customer service too.

TRAPPED AT THE DOOR
October 25, 2015

I JUST went to the 52nd street location. With intentions of walking in & buying any random black pair of shoes. To find out that I can't even go in with my EMPTY Starbucks reusable cup. The security guard insanely asked me to put my cup that I put on my lips. On the floor outside the store. Like I'm not human! This store honestly just disgusted me. & I doubt I'll go back in there any time soon. The store i thought was my favorite store expected me to be an animal to place my EMPTY RESUABLE CUP ON THE STREET FLOORS. I showed her it was empty and explained I can't throw it out because it's a RESUABLE cup. & she still didn't allow me in the store. On the good side. I saved money but it's sad. I feel like an animal to them. & their honestly just losing sales this way! So disgusting. & I work right next door to them... just sad.

Bad customer service
October 21, 2015

Beautiful clothes but nobody wants to say Hi when you are entering the store.
If you ask about help you will get it but have to wait for a "little bit"
Prices are not very expensive but the quality is pretty poor.

I returned an item purchased which arrived defected to Zara, and received a notification that they're sending the item back, as it didn't arrive in the condition sent. It was returned in the same defected condition it arrived here. I sent a note online prior to returning, I called and included a note within the package itself. I have spent thousands of dollars and have been a loyal customer. I am extremely disappointed and upset about this, and the overall conduct by Zara. Over a few dollars, Zara ruined their reputation with me, and have lost me as a customer. I shall never do business or will recommend Zara ever again!

Purchased six items just over two months ago now. Only one arrived, my account said 'partial delivery' which I assumed meant the rest would be with me shortly. After a few days of waiting I emailed Zara to let them know, they got back to me two days later stating that my items had been lost in transit and had also gone out of stock. But they could send me the one item they still had and refund me the remainder of my money. Getting them to send the item back went on for weeks with emails and a phonecall. And I still haven't had the available item sent back to me. I was given a full refund for the six items three days ago and rang up to query why my one item which was in stock was not sent. Apparently the stock is low which stops them from ordering it. Information I yet again had to ring up and find out for myself to be told I was issued a refund that would show up in my account shortly. I was then given a phone call by the team the day after I had rang up to check on my case to be told I had been given a refund for the six items, requesting the money for the single item which was delivered back. So they can call me directly to get money owed to them, but they did not call me once to let me know that my "order was lost in transit" or send me back money owed to me sooner than two months later.

Yes, just had the worst customer service. Women's dress came in wrong size - completely mismarked and to return same, have to prove that it was mismarked before they would send out the correct size. This is ridiculous. They should send out the dress in the correct size and not charge me an additional shipping charge.

Quality
October 3, 2015

No quality found these days with Zara, everything brakes in first day or even hour.

You put your new shoes and until you'll get bus stop they are broken already, you took blouse from zara and you give more samples of disaster.

Thats very shame about Zara as nice clothing, but for to short wear.

Bought t shirts from ZARA - First wearing/washing - holes! Cheap, cheap, cheap! Customer service is a joke. They do not stand behind anything! Shop at H&M, at least your clothes won't fall apart immediately!

I called Zara to place an item on hold for me, which they confirmed. So I ended up driving for an hour. Finally reaching there, my items had disappeared and they were suddenly out of stock. Meaning, they sold my items to someone else, eventho it was supposed to be on hold for 24 hours! Talked to manager, he didn't seem to care at all so I went home and ordered it online. Appears that the ONLINE SIZE IS DIFFERENT THAN THE STORE SIZES. European mixed up with US sizes. So these $#*!s sent me the wrong size.

I didn't bother calling the store anymore, I threw the item in the garbage because it was the wrong size, called my bank and told them to chargeback my creditcard because 1 item was missing, done deal. Money back, Zara's item in the garbage bin.

Thank you bank :)

My girlfriend bought me a wind jacket from the ZARA in Durban, South Africa, and could only give it to me on my birthday (which most normal people do). It was more than 30 days from date of purchase when we tried to exchange it for a larger size as the one she bought was a bit too tight. It was then that I experienced the most inhumane and horrifying display of policy and customer service. We were told that there is nothing they can do as the 30 days have lapsed. Under normal circumstances I would understand why the item could not be exchanged. However, my jacket was in PRISTINE condition, still in the original packaging and unworn. It is in even better condition than the remaining jackets of the same kind on the shelf. Whats all the more disgusting, is the fact that when I emailed them, they merely restated the policy and refused to help me. I am really upset about this because my girl and I are students and we dont work. The jacket cost her alot of money and now we are in this position. Thanks ZARA - real nice of you to do this. By the way, the enforcement of their return policy in this instance is contrary to South African consumer law - specifically the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. They think they caan hide behind policy just becausee they use it in 88 countries. NEWSFLASH: Every store is subject to the laws of the country in which they are found. Disappointed and angry.

Horrible customer service
September 19, 2015

Absolutely horrible customer service! Long story short, a Zara store overcharged my friend (in Berlin Germany), then refused to pay back the difference and said she'd have to pick up the money at the store at the end of the day (10 pm a Saturday) IF they'd made a mistake. Now, it was a busy day and it's completely understandable that the saleswoman made a mistake and we wouldn't have made a fuss about it (and I wouldn't write this bad review) if they'd been nicer from the beginning. They didn't apologize once and they just presumed that my friend was lying. Then they first refused to make a wire transfer but in the end said they'd do it (again, IF my friend was telling the truth after they'd checked their books at the end of the day). VERY rude. Zara now lost two long term customers for 30€ (the amount they overcharged) (also, I will be telling all my friends about how horrible the customer service is). Now, let's just hope my friend gets her money back...

Do not expect J. Crew treatment if you ever have a problem with an order. Zara customer service sucks big time. Placed an order and as the "pick up at store" is always selected, i didn't unselect it, the order ended up in NYC where they expect me to pick it up. More than 4 emails back and forward, they repeating I need to go and pick it up and me giving them option to refund in order to re place another order or if I could pick up the order in a store in the same another city closer where I live and saying I can't not go there and paid for one bus ride and two trains rides to get there. They keeping repeating I need to go to NYC to pick up the order. I've decided to dispute the charge to my credit card

I was in zara home in kingston upon thamesin bentall centre today at 5:15pm, I have taken the bath basket with lid on top to the till, shop assistant scaned my item and put it in the zara bag, i said thanks and left towards outside but the security alarm start and i came back to the till and told them, the present sales assistant start searching my shopping bag and find two items inside the bascket and she told me that i wanted to steal these items from the shop, she was very laud and rude twards me, while the items was inside the bascket that I bought and it was the shop assistant responsibility to check inside that basket before put it inside the bag not my responsibility to check! But she start shutting twards me and i had to ask bentall security to come and tell her to be polite but unfortunately she never said sorry and non stop was telling everyone that it wasnt her fault and i was going to take that without pay! If i was going to take this item why came back to her and told her the problem! I asked her to give me her manager name but she said she is going to call the police! I said call the police and i wait but i want to talk to her manager but she ignored me and never gave me her manager name and when i asked her name she put her face twards wall!
Very disappointed, not recommended
