I just received the Zinger today but I am going to return it. I find it very complicated to manoeuvre around the house. Diana.
We received the Zinger Chair. It was packed very well even though there was what appeared to be a forklift jab in the box, the chair was unaffected. We charged the battery prior to turning it on! Once charged, the chair performed well for the first 35 minutes, while my wife practiced using the chair in the driveway on low speed. The chair began slowing down in low speed after that. I tried the chair on low speed and it was very sluggish, when I switched to medium speed the chair responded very well. We played around with the chair for about an hour and a half. Finally, I checked the tire pressure in the rear wheels and it was only 20 lbs. Half the advertised ideal pressure. I pumped up the tires and put it on the charger... we haven't been on it since... the weather hasn't been cooperating!
The chair works as described, but arms (handles) on chair are too short causing person sitting in it to have to lean over in order to work the arms. This causes back strain!
I just got my Zinger and I have to say that it has met all my expectations and much more. It has really opened up a new world for me. I love the freedom it gives me especially when I am dealing with a great deal of pain! I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a reliable very well thought out, and built fun mobility vehicle.
Loved the chair, but it didn't work for me. It was too hard to read The hand control buttons, the are low on the side (I have neck issues). So I sent it back to the tune of $122 in shipping. So make sure you really want it or the shipping fees will be very expensive which they don't tell you when ordering. They probably won't post this to their site because it seems they only post the positive only comments.
It works! This was the best choice I've made. I would recommend it to anyone who has a hard time walking. My friend can get it in and out of the car with little effort.
The chair is everything it is advertised to be. Unfortunately, customer service is fantastic when you were purchasing however, if you need to return the chair for any reason there is no response from your sales person. I was able to reach someone in customer service who assisted me and arrange for pick up. The salesforce needs major work on their dedication and ability to assist customers.
Have COPD, out of breath fast.
Large stores beyond my short range.
The Zinger has changed my life.
It not only enables mobility, it's really fun to drive.
I live on social security and the price was a stretch, but worth it!
Very pleased
It is a wonderful mobility device. The only thing I don't like is the foot rest. I am 6'2" and it is difficult to bend my knees back to get my feet on the foot rest. Please come up with a solution as soon as possible.
So far it is great. I wish there was a way a bag or basket could be in a more convenient place, I am on oxygen24/7 and when I go shopping I need a place to put my oxygen and shopping items.
Just as another reviewer posted; my first real test outing was at a car show. I'd previously rented scooters at shows but when they're all rented it's no show for me. I just can't walk very far any more.
My new Zinger solves that problem and it's much easier to transport and store than any other product I had looked at. I was stopped and asked for a demo by a potential buyer who'd seen a commercial for the Zinger on TV. I believe he'll be making a purchase as he was so favorably impressed. I later saw one other Zinger owner who told me his favorable experiences.
The speed which I could cover the whole show even allowed me to have more time for other activities in the area and not be worn out at the end of the day; a huge plus.
The maneuverability is excelant even in tight spaces. I could even enjoy much of the vendor area at the show without even leaving the chair; something scooters cannot do. I'm looking forward to using in other places as well. I also liked the build quality so the chair should have a long service life if treated properly.
I took it to a car show and so many people ask about it. I think I am going to use this a lot.We had to show how they would lay down flat and how easy it was to set them back up
To disconnect annoying reverse beeb take out screws, open control handle and disconnect the white wire coming from chip with square speaker attached. It can be reattached if wanted. Beep button still works manually.
Just found out there is a "Zoomer" chair that uses a joy stick instead of double handles. I wish I had known about this chair earlier. Double handles does a workout on your hands and arms. Could be a positive or a negative.
Tried the Zinger out and went to our open dog park near Fern Ridge Lake (Eugene, OR). There is an asphalt road to & through the park which worked great. I tried it in high and my partner & our two dogs could hardly keep up. Driving through the grass area full of bumps worked on medium & I guess I won't need to get my highs from roller coasters anymore. I did get stuck on rocks & limbs and reverse was not quite powerful enough to back me out. My partner assisted. I do not like the beeping noise while in reverse. Can it be turned off? Also the on/off button had a loose rubber tab inside, but was easy to fix. Would have liked the logo tag to be in green & black to match my Zinger, but I colored it in with magic markers.
I love it. I'm moving around in ways I haven't in years. Very nimble. It's expensive though. I'm so very lucky that I can afford such a luxury. A cup holder should be standard.
Maid my maiden outing on my Zinger at the Kansas City Irish Fest. Love it, I can go anywhere, turns on a dime, easy up ramps. Covered a lot of city blocks in it. Could have sold a couple of them, it got a lot of interest. Made sure everyone who ask had the website.
How heavy is the Zinger chair? Looking for a chair for husband that I will be able to put in trunk of car
Needs at least 2 people to lift it into a car. Not so small either. I own a Hyundai Santa Fe, a small SUV, and it is a tight fit. Not much room for anything else once the Zinger is loaded. The review of the owner of a Mini, must have a pretty big Mini if he can load it with room left over. Not happy at all. Would return it if I had the strength to box it back up.
So easy to operate and we love being able to have mobility to get around with out wearing out. My husband loves it because now he can go shopping and other places without getting too tired. We love it.
It was left at my front door.
Box too heavy for me to move.
Had to call neighbors to get box into my apartment and take chair out.
Haven't put together yet.
Still learning. Negatives so far are requires 2 hands at all times, must stop & push button to activate reverse which makes loud beep & brake is not easy to pull up with weak hand. No easy stop downhill.
Answer: This is a legit company. They have very good customer service. I received the Zinger Chair earlier than promised.
Answer: Replacement parts took months for me to get an extra battery and rear wheels need to be replaced every 6 months
Answer: Always on back order takes months to receive your product
Answer: Definitely no, the chair is too heavy to lift despite the companies claim
Answer: It does have a lever, but it's kinda inconveniently located under the chair. You have to kind of force your hand through to set the break
