Just the information for customers on the website was value enough. I didn't feel like a complete idiot in the brick and mortar stores.
After doing some research with that information I came back to the website and purchased the ring I wanted. She said Yes and loved the ring!
Zoara has simply the best customer service of any jewelry store that I have been to, online or physical. They are not pushy at all and seem to mostly care about the customer getting the best value. I originally had my mind set on a VVS2 diamond but they told me that the money would be better spent on upgrading to a higher carat weight. I'm so glad that I did, and now I was able to get a 1.30 carat instead of the 1 carat that I originally planned for. I shopped around many other online sites and only Zoara made this observation. Given that their prices were as good or lower than anybody else buying from them was a no brainer. They were kind enough to ship the ring to Italy for my proposal since I did dally around a bit and was on a deadline... and of course she said yes! Thanks to Zoara from Milan!

Hello, i just wanted to share my experience with ZOARA. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment which cost me money for nothing.
The purchase was a diamond ring with a total value of 1048$, all good so far. The problem started with payment method, I went with the normal procedure of ordering the item until I hit the payment step. For some reason (unexplained one, according to customer support) the payment wasn't able to be completed via direct pay with card. They supplied an alternative method by wire transfer. Talked to the bank and issued a wire transfer to zoara (cost so far 15$ in commission). Although the wire transfer has 1.5% discount the invoice didn't reflect this (please pay attention on this).
Payment took almost 3 working days to be cleared (I'm from europe). After 2 days of payment confirmation I've received an email that the diamond I've added to the ring is not available anymore and that they will reserve another one with the vendor (according to them with same or better quality). Unfortunately the second diamond didn't have an actual photo so that I can see if there is any flaws in the center of the diamond.
All in all i would not recommend ZOARA simply because theire purchasing procedures are not in customer favor.

Upon checking your case we saw that your credit card payment attempt did not pass our security checks and therefore an alternate method of payment was offered. The 1.5% discount was reflected in the amount that you were asked to pay and it would have been reflected in the invoice provided when shipped. As your order didn't ship since you cancelled it and were refunded, you did not receive an invoice for it.
Banks can and typically do charge wire fees, however the wire discount typically cancels them out.
We order diamonds upon the receipt of payment since until the payment arrives there is no guarantee that it was made. Unfortunately diamonds are for sale to other companies as well and are always subject to prior sale. Per our policy we offered you a significant upgrade at our expense but unfortunately you did not accept our suggestions and asked for a refund.
Your refund was sent for the exact sum received. Since your payment to us was missing a significant amount, you received less than what you were asked to pay us. If you would have provided us with the full payment, that would have been sent to you.
We regret that you did not accept our solutions offered and we can assure you that Zoara maintains strict precision with payments. If you are refunded for an order, you will be sent back exactly what was paid.
I received a man's 14K WG, 6mm comfort fit band -- it was a size 9 but fits really tight and will need to be resized or stretched. I also started out wanting a woman's custom made shadow wedding band to go with my pear shaped engagement ring, and decided I wanted it with diamonds. But, as I looked at my pear shaped engagement ring I thought that if I got another custom diamond shadow band to go over the pointy end it would resemble a halo ring. I ordered two, custom made shadow bands with 24 tiny little diamonds on each, totaling 1/4 carat of diamonds on each band. I have received them and love the total look. I'm going to have the 3 rings soldered so that they all turn together as, occasionally, one will slip out of place. At this point, we've spent $4,800.00 on the 3 ladies' rings for a TW of 1.3K of diamonds with 14K WG. You can get other, equally beautiful rings for that price but no matter how you size them up, looking at other shaped diamonds/bands, you get about the same amount of carat weight for the quality and the price. I gave Zoara four stars instead of five because there was some confusion over what I was asking for and a lull time when the order languished due to the confusion. I recommend that when ordering custom made jewelry that you send a very specific sketch via email as well as speak with someone on the phone to cut down on any confusion there may be. From start to finish it was almost a month for me to receive my order but Zoara did take off a small amount on my bill for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. I also gave four starts in quality due to the fact the man's wedding band is too tight and the two shadow bands for the engagement ring, even though I got them on, are also very tight. I had to soak my hand in cold water to get them on and will have them resized by 1/4 when I send them back to have them soldered together. I do recommend Zoara as very good, on-line jeweler and I love my rings. No one else has anything like this, that I've seen.

We're happy that you both like the ring and the packaging. Likewise, it's worth pointing out that finding a well cut pear, marquise, cushion and oval is very hard to do. We actually sift through tens of thousands of diamonds and only display the better cut ones on our site. This limits the online inventory but on the other hand keeps the list well stocked with high quality stones.
Our response time can vary but we typically maintain email responses within 12-24 hours in the order that they are received and immediate service via phone and online chat. We do respond to every email that comes in and had you not contacted us by chat we surely would have gotten back to you.
The most important thing is that you got the answers that you needed and received a ring beyond your expectations. We hope to serve you again!

I bought a 2ct Princess Diamond ring from Zoara about 6 months back. The online service etc was all good, as you might expect and as the GIA Diamond was GIA certified, it was hard to fault. (You get pretty much what you pay for and should know what to expect given their very good clear description).
Their buid quality however for bespoke rings is shocking.
I provided the design and had the setting made in Platinum. As I had a 2 ct stone, I specifically asked them to ensure that the setting was secure. They sent me pictures in advance and I had some concerns which i voiced. They responded saying that their chief jeweller had inspected it and that it was perfect.
This was either a lie or their standards are well below any regular high street jeweller.
Although my wife loved the ring, we had to take it in locally for immediate repair as the diamond was not only loose but you could hear it move when touched with her finger nail. It was also not true to the size that I had asked for (The same size wedding ring from Cartier seems to fit her just fine but this was far too big)
The platinum band that secured it was not even with the width moving from thick to thin that was visible with the naked eye.
In short, great value diamonds but simply dreadful jewellers. I'm now considering having the setting re made locally.
I didn't return the ring as I don't live in the US and felt that even with insurance this was a significant risk and given their capability, there seemed very little point.
I also struggle with them offering a discount off future purchases in response for saying something nice as feedback on their website. With what I know now, I'd suggest using them for the stone and have the setting done properly with either someone you know and trust or ANYONE else!

Making a ring without the center stone present can always leave room for adjustments. Likewise, prongs can become loose and it's simply an issue of tightening them again. This is a service included in our warranty and something that we would have been happy to do free of charge.

When you open it up, there's a little halogen light in there really making the ring sparkle... Excellent touch! Very nice, no longer self-conscious about proposing in a dull light restaurant.

I had been searching for a new band for my engagement ring for many months, unable to find a style that I liked where the vendor would provide the ring and the prongs. My fiancé and i ordered a ring from Zoara and for a little extra we could get in engraved with our wedding date on it and our initials. We thought this was great. We ordered the ring but we ordered one to big so Zoara did everything they could to help us get the correct size made and shipped to us in time for our big day. They were in contact with us via email and we were always kept up to date with progress of the ring. When they said it was shipped it was and when they said it would arrive, it did, they made it very stress free at a time that things can be very stressful.

Being from Australia I was reluctant to buy a ring from an international site but I am so glad I did. The website is easy to use and the customer service is fantastic! I selected my diamond and my ring only to be informed that the diamond I selected was not available so was given a slightly better diamond that was available for no extra charge. The staff informed me of this straight away and it did not delay my order what so ever. I placed my order on the Wednesday and received the diamond Monday. This is the greatest website for engagement rings. The interface is so easy to use, the customer service is amazing, and the diamond i received is the best diamond i have ever seen in my life. They have live chat 24 hours a day, and it's usually the same 3 people so you really get to know them. I turned to searching online for an engagement ring after deciding that the retail store experience was not going to allow me to get the ring I was looking for within my very fixed budget. Zoara was not the first site I had come across, but they were the first to impress me with the knowledge their customer support offered.
I spoke with Harrison several times over the course of a few weeks. He helped guide me and always offered me with helpful tips and suggestions in searching for both a diamond and a setting. Not once during the process did I feel pressured. Answer: You must have had a bad experience but thats not normal. The reality is tif your going to order stones online you need to get educated on what the general guidelines are for diamonds. You should do this anyway but its easy and they will help. They offer 45 day no questions 100% money back return so no risk at all. You can really save a lot and get a much nicer ring cutting out the middle men at other jewelry stores. The stone I ordered had to come from India and took about 10 days but soooooooo worth it. Its amazing and would've costs almost 50% more if I tried to get the same ring though a local big named jeweler no doubt.
