After several years and several thousand dollars wasted, I can honestly recommend avoiding this disservice. In the end it is difficult to demonstrate real increased business using Google's metrics. And so you keep using it just hoping it is doing something. A high price to pay for hope. But the biggest disservice is their so called customer support. You'll either talk to someone in India in broken English and with continued disconnects, or you'll talk to a salesman in the US who will punch a few numbers in some voodoo algorithm and make bogus recommendations. Magic! Just like that he has the solution! AdWords is the epitome of corruption. They don't care about small business, and they won't care about you.
I am so disappointed with their tech support. I have been filling out their forms and no response. When I call customer service, the tell me to fill the form which I do and yet no one ever gets back to help me out. They do care about their customers. So so sad!
Customer Service hung up on me 6 times. 2 hours of my time trying to speak to a "Google Ads specialist" down the drain. Absolutely no consequences. Total and utter garbage.
Google AdWords continued charging me after I suspended the service. They acknowledged the unauthorized charges but said they wouldn't be refunding my money due to their policies. Stay away from these crooks!
Google ads is really problematic and seems designed to take your money. If you want to loose your money then try Google ads one day. We are a same day parcel delivery service based in London. We set up a Google ad campaign and started receiving phone calls from people. But people calling us intended to call customer service of different companies such as dpd, parcel force, hermes etc. People said they search for dpd, hermes or parcel force etc but Google provided them our number. We had to stop the campaign immediately and started investigating the problem but until we stopped the Google ad it costed us £35. Later on we discovered Google's cleaver trick. Hermes, Parcel Force and Dpd s are huge delivery companies which handle millions of parcel delivery daily. So many people search their phone number because they want to talk with their customer services about their parcels, problems etc. Google knows this and showing your ad when people search for them. That means when people search, for instance, for hermes or dpd customer services or phone number Google shows your ad (phone number) and people click your ad. This way Google maximise clicks where they are making money from. We tried to contact to Google but It is impossible to contact Google support because they have no phone number. You have to fill a long form explaining your problem but it takes days Google to write you back. It is really impossible get to somewhere with Google which is very difficult company. I wanted to leave this review and comment to warn people about Google's tricks.
My account was compromised, Google even sent me an email acknowledging that fact. Then they decided to charge me thousands of pounds for fraudulent ads which i didnt setup. They've contacted me seceral times over the past year by email as they have no one you can physically speak too. My account has now been sent to a debt recovery agency so they can collect the money of which i dont owe. Company and customer service is a joke.
I paid Google to have an on line presence for years. When they started overbilling me, I tried calling any and all numbers I could find on line to immediately resolve my concerns. Eventually I gave up and stopped paying the unsubstantiated bills.
Nobody at AdWords replied to voice messages or tried calling me to resolve the issue or ask why I stopped sending them money, they just deleted my account and all the 5 STAR reviews we received.
Eventually, someone from their SALES department solicited our business again and promised to resolve the billing (which they didn't) and restore our reviews (which they didn't do either).
Because I trusted they would not start overbilling again and because I took the persons word (how silly of me), I paid for the program agreed on.
Once again, they started sending me unsubstantiated bills and notices for personal information which I refused to submit. Again I am trying to find a PHONE NUMBER (I am not interested in sending emails that are not replied to) Once again they deleted my account.
Unfortunately, GOOGLE has become a monopoly (and they know it). As a result they appear to be accountable to no-one and offer ZERO opportunity to resolve perhaps fraudulent charges to clients bills before wiping you out.

It took over a year to finally have someone make contact. Gagan from Google Ads Team called me from India with a limited grasp of correct English and was not actually aware of the issue. She had clearly NOT looked into the issue. Rambled on about policy which was not relevant to the actual issue. Expected me to provide her with detailed info about a case I opened a year ago.
Total waste of time.
Google ads has appalling customer service and clearly doesn't care about customers.
There have been 23 emails since Dec 2020 relating to Google Ads teams' error incorrectly disapproving our ad.
However, loss of significant revenue resulted from this error. In seeking compensation for THEIR error all Google Ads have done is keep on sending me a template email that states,
'Thank you for your response. I will be glad to assist you further. I understand that it is taking really longer time than usual... We assure you that your query is being attended and I would request you to please allow us s 4-5 business days more to get back to you'... and then nothing! No progress report, no management contact even after insisting on it.
Clearly Google Ads doesn't really care for its customers except when it's time for US to pay them.
We are now in the process of legal action... it is now 11.08.2021 at the time of writing this.
I did notice my account was charged more then what I was expecting, even my ads were on hold/pause!
I did open a case and I was told someone will contact me in next 24/28 hrs. Past almost five weeks and nothing happening until know!
I sent emails trying to get an update... nothing yet!
This is very frustrating and I will never recommends this to any business... If you do than expect no customer service nor help if needed unless you are in the $$$$$$$$$$$ range! Even I'm not sure what kind of support they have for the big business!
Keep your money and look for other ways to advertise your products if you are in small/med range or a new business starter!
Where do I began? I have 2 campaigns running, but 1 I can't get going, nor is there any help from Google! It will give you an error message, but no direction on EXACTLY what to do to fix it. It's like try this, and try again, and try again. You can get 1 thing corrected, but magically something else is wrong now. So... try this, and try again and try again! I finally gave up and deleted my campaign!
When Google Ads work, they work great. However too much of the time they fail due to glitches in the system or bugs. When I called them to get help, they are rarely able to provide solutions. When calls drop, which happens about half the time, instead of calling me back they simply take the next call in the queue and I never hear back from them. This is unacceptable and I'm spending tens of thousands of dollars.

Gosh I did not realize I had to become a non paid employee of google while attending google ads class, because what ever you are doing business wise will take a backseat to your new job, messing with this NON preforming SCAM. I say scam as the only people who will call you like clock work. Daily is the spam arm of the setup, that will actually have you paying to hear the hourly spam offer... with no way to filter it off or out.

When it works it's good. They changed my address I've had up for 2-3 years to inactive & when I call to see why they told me they can't get into the account & will take 3 hours to get back to me. I have lost a crazy amount of business due to this & they can't even get into their own program?! Ridiculous!
It's a scam! They lure you in with ad credit so you spend £25 and receive £75 ad credit then and additional £50 when you download the app.
The interface is confusing when you want to pause the campaign (as there is no stop button). But once you find it, it will say ‘ You have free ad credit! You have £xx left in free credits. Keep your ad active to redeem them. ‘
You think ok, i will leave it extra days where the campaign costs more hoping that the ad credit reduce... which it does but then at the end of the month, they charge your card the full amount then say yo it ad credit didn't apply. There is clearly a massive technical problem if the system clearly states that ad credit can still be used. If ad credit can't be used then simply, don't state it.
Also, the clicks are ad bots and it isn't worth using as there are other platforms that is better to invest in advertising.
Customer service is a nightmare as although they why admit the tech issue above, they still won't do anything about it and try to blame you for choosing their services
This has to be the most frustrating company I've ever dealt with, support is literally the same answers going round and round in circles and when you request to cancel they ignore. Phone calls disconnected. Support staff unable to help and 7 months on I'm in exactly the same position with money coming out of my account with no access to the ads account in question, it is not a service and I'm really sorry I ever got this, think very hard about getting this service. Sounds ideal but its far from it.
After months of not getting the business as Google promised, I informed it to stop the ad in January. Spoke to their employee in Jan, sent three emails, which a Steve acknowledged today. Followed instructions on how to stop the acct from the employee, made a screenshot of my deleting the acct in January. In February Google went back into my bank acct and took money. I called the employee back, my bank called them but no answer. I tweeted several times to Google Ad on Tweeter to stop in Feb. And this Match, it tried again. I am now going to file a complaint with Fed Trade Commission and other agencies. A Google employee told me today that I should write them an authorization letter to stop. I think a class action lawsuit is overdue.
We had a couple of sites suspended right before the holiday season began in November. We reviewed all of Google's policies, went far above and beyond them, even further than any of our competitors sites, didn't matter. We haven't been able to get a response from anyone besides a sales representative (that they change quarterly... wonder why...) let alone anyone to review our changes and it has been FOUR MONTHS! Utterly useless for businesses if this is what can be expected when real help is needed.
The Google representative prematurely activated my Ad Campaign when my website was NOT completed. Subsequently, my credit card was charged $289-$350/per month for 1000's of 'clicks'. I received no potential customer emails, phone call and not one booking inquiries.

My so-called Ad started just before Thanksgiving 2020. When I started getting billed I sent dozens of emails and received no help from Google Ads support team. I finally paused the account on January 1 (the website will not allow you to remove your credit card from their billing system).

Google ads are taking £150 every month from a disabled persons personal bank account, despite being asked to stop as there has nether been an authorization for such payments, they have been given bank statements, end to end id codes and yet they continue to take money. BE VERY VERY CAREFUL DEALING WIT H THIS DIRTY COMPANY.
