This company went from great to nothing but a scam site! Liars cheats and misleading rude customers service ever! It front matter how much you pay they don't care! I am being punished for 1000's of in time payments bc of their awful app!

Oh then they put some fake restrictions that are not per policy!

Title: No Purchase Protection – Extremely Disappointed I used Afterpay to make a large purchase from Shein—over $350. When the order arrived, I was missing more than $200 worth of items. Shein only refunded me for two of those items, totaling $57, and refused to issue any further compensation. I contacted Afterpay expecting support, thinking they would help resolve the issue or at least intervene. Instead, I was told there's nothing they can do because the merchant has the final say. That's unacceptable. Afterpay continues to collect payments for an order I never fully received. There is no purchase protection, and no real customer advocacy. If a merchant fails to deliver your items, you're on your own. This experience was frustrating and disheartening. I trusted Afterpay to back the transaction—it turns out they don't. I will no longer use Afterpay and I strongly caution others before doing so. – Mavis Santiago

So I could rabbit on about the non existent bilthe customer of Afterpay as many have but they reached a new low when I asked for help with two refunds, After many failed attemps to resolve through the app trying to contact their ghost like customer service I refered the matter to AFACA. Well wouldnt you know it that kicked them into gear and after supplying Tom (the proported AFCA specialist at Afterpay) and what an as@@ole this little man turned out to be who informed me almost immediately that my case was closed due to failing to respond quickly enough even though I still had three weeks to respond. So f@@k Afterpay if this is how you are going to treat a person who was on a 4k credit limit and was never late with a payment and to compound matters is out of pocket $300 that Afterpay have stolen it is little wonder people will vote with their feet

App does not sync accounting well with third parties that After Pay is associated with, such as Amazon.com. I was given a $200 limit and was never able to buy more that $38.96 from Amazon and I paid it the same day hoping to delete the flawed app from my phone, but it shows I have a balance and will not give me any details. I was finally able to get someone in the app support chat and they would not provide me with any details as to why I have a balance. They flat out just quit responding to my chat and there is nothing you can do. I would stay away from the app!

Afterpay will steal your money and ADMITN IT if you do not recieve an item or return an item. They will simply take both your money and the money from the merchant - double the profit.

I've been a loyal Afterpay customer for years, always paying on time or ahead of schedule, and worked my way up to a decent spending limit. However, my recent experience has completely shattered my trust in this company.

I entered into a payment plan after being laid off from work, and despite making every payment on time and paying off the balance within just two weeks longer than the original order timeframe, Afterpay slashed my spending limit by 90%. All I needed was a slight extension to streamline my payments, and I managed to pay everything off in good faith—yet, they still punished me by gutting my limit.

What's even more infuriating is seeing how others who missed multiple payments or entered several payment plans in the same year had no real impact on their spending limits. Afterpay clearly picks and chooses who to penalize, and their so-called "responsible spending" rules are inconsistently applied. It's obvious there's no fairness here.

My advice? Do NOT enter a payment plan or hardship arrangement with Afterpay. Let your payments go late if you have to and pay them at your convenience. You'll likely be treated better than if you tried to work things out with them like I did. Based on my experience, they don't reward responsible behavior—if anything, they punish it.

I was laid off, picked up a second job, and paid every 2 weeks to honor my payments, and yet, Afterpay ruined my financial flexibility. They didn't even offer a compromise, like cutting my limit in half, which would have at least allowed me to get to work. Instead, they wiped out 90% of my limit, leaving me with nothing.

This company pretends to care about its customers, but their practices are shady and unethical. I may dispute my payments and will be posting this review everywhere I can to make sure others know what they're getting into. Don't trust Afterpay to have your back. They pick and choose who they help, and if you're in a tough spot, they may just leave you hanging.

This App Has Turned to Shi…

Once upon a time this app was great. I built up over $1,300 in available spend and never had any issues…until I did. There was fraud on my card, I had to change my number, which I alerted them of and yet still I was assessed 2 LATE PAYMENTS regardless of the situation. For this they TOOK AWAY ALL of my available spend. A year later it's back to over $1,000 and now any purchases I attempt to make are being declined with zero reason given. (I only have 3 open orders for barely over $200 so that's not the issue.) Meanwhile I've never had one issue using Sezzle and your available spend grows far faster, don't bother with Afterpay, it's almost useless now. That's a screenshot from today and I cannot place an order with them. 😂😂🤷‍

These guys are just money hungry bustards with absolutely no care factor or loyalty to thier customers what so ever. You cam be a loyal customer for years with perfect payments and when something goes wrong by accident they will.just cut you off for 12months without a care in the world which makes you feel used and unimportant to the company even.though you were probably a customer who helped build the company to where it is today. They don't give a $#*! about thier customers and they don't deserve customers full stop.

Used afterpay five times and paid all orders quickly and before the due dates. Now Everytime I place an order it is denied. They send an email claiming my credit score however they insist they do not check credit scores. Trying another service who treats good customers fair.

The customer service for this company sucks trying to get a hold of them is a pain in the $#*!. We have to go through the app messaging him back-and-forth. They never respond when they said he do. It takes almost 10 hours or 24 hours for them to respond and there's no number to call them so if they call you, you cannot call them back, this is a messed up

I have not gotten nowhere and this been going on for two years that I have not been able to use my account and I have not gotten nowhere so now is going on three years. Tried to make a purchase and everything went fine till I was bumped back to the vendors website where I got an ERROR. I proceded to make the purchase from another resource.
AfterPay took the money from my account anyway,
I have tried to get a refund fron the company but they have no record of Afterpay paying them nor a order #.
I am getting the run around from Afterpay they are telling me to: lodge a dispute, wait 14 days if the company doesn't responde to the dispute, cancle the disppute start a new dispute ect ect ect
In the mean time they continue to Take mpney from my account for the payments.
BEWARE OF ERRORS when returns to the store website.
YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOUR MONEY AGAIN

So the reason I'm giving him such a bad review when I used to love them. They used to be loyal to their customers. There was a couple times their system was down when my payment was due so they took my credit but gave it back because of system error. Second time it happened they took my credit away and wouldn't give it back so I declined to make the rest of my payments. As soon as I messaged them they told me they would give it back if I made my payment in full. So I did and instead of giving me back my $800 credit limit they gave me $50 and said that I could work my way back up to $800 even though they promise to give it back once payment was in full. They used to be a great loyal company but whatever is going on over there now they have become garbage

Don't use AFTERPAY

I ordered a pair of shoes from Hoka. Immediately after the order was processed I cancelled it because it was a wide width. I then reordered the shoe in the correct width. I used Afterpay. Even though I have sent Three communication from Hoka to Afterpay, Afterpay refuses to refund my money. Hoka never received any money because the order was cancelled. Afterpay closed one dispute, I've opened another one. Afterpay has NO TELEPHONE NUMBER to contact them. I can only say they're a very poor company to try to resolve issues. I'll never use them again. At this point, they have $189 of my money and refuse to return it.

The tummy I have a great amount to spend we want to try to spend it online or in the store I do not know how to work the card why and I want to talk to somebody it's a machine it'd really be nice if you had humans to talk to I am so tired of having to buy from TAMU and the other side so I'd like to buy all of the store using my afterpay.
I'm wasting money buying from tell me when the other ones half the products are not well so I would like to talk to you human and know how to use my card purchasing things from stores.

The concept and app is self is much as expected. Errors here and there, nothing that should not be unable to be corrected. The issue you run into is how very literally subpar their customer service is. They're lazy, rude, and incompetent. They do not know how to do their jobs. I heard this from many people and stupidly ignored them. Please don't shop there, you'll regret it.
