After years of faithfully using AFTERPAY I find myself unable to purchase from my favourite company. No others explanation other than "too bad". I've not only accrued thousands of dollars in credit but have diligently paid my instalments WELL BEFORE THE DUE DATE. Obviously Afterpay doesn't feel the need to offer due loyalty nor consideration to its customers.

Have gone back and fourth multiple time to these people about a refund of a payment i made. They say it takes 10 working business days for the payment to clear. It has now been over 10 business days and I still haven't received a refund. They have incompetent staff working who don't look into queries properly, just fob you off with excuses. Usually had good experiences using this site, not anymore. No phone number to call either to explain your situation either.

1. They accept my first purchase when I use safelite glass repair. Yay and I made all my payments on time!
2. But then Afterpay post on social media on FACEBOOK that they will help pay for your next travel plans on EXPEDIA.COM/AFTERPAY and you can make payments after that. Well that is a SCAM AND A LIE Because I have a high limit and our hotel that we try to book is under the limit BUT THEY STILL DECLINE FOR NO SUCH REASONS!
3. WHY DO WE NEED TO MAKE SMALL PURCHASES WITH AFTERPAY CARD WHEN AND WHICH WE DO NOT NEED TO BUY NONSENSE ITEMS WITH AFTERPAY and wasting money for nonsense in order to only MAKE HOTEL BOOKING WITH IT!

I ordered an item that didn't fit (i used Afterpay for the purchase). I returned the item and did not receive any payments made returned.
I inquire and got the runaround. Weeks later nothing. The store refunded Afterpay but they didn't refund my account and I am out $60 (minus shipping, restocking fees which original purchase came to $110) Ridiculous!

The purchase was on 6/14 - one order of 3 items - which I received yesterday. I am happy with my purchase and will pay for it. HOWEVER, Afterpay has decided it will charge me twice for the same purchase. I have made multiple attempts to contact (which have to be through website - they block emails and phone calls) - and each complaint they pretend to not understand the problem. I have resorted to filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau. I should not have to pay twice for my one order. In my view they are like common thieves, and as soon as they fix the billing I will pay it off and close the account. HORRIBLE. BUYER BEWARE.

I used Afterpay for an order returned my items and got my refund back to my bank contacted Afterpay so they can adjust my order they refuse to adjust my order and no way to call someone on the phone. Only luck to get someone on the phone is by submitting a complaint through BBB and someone will pick up the phone and call you. Spoke with a women who stated she is the highest of the highest in Afterpay does not have a boss and stated Afterpay policy has always been they won't adjust your order and refund your money back. That is not true because they have done it plenty of times

I have never been late on a payment but because I requested a refund on items I purchased that did not fit and was returned. They took my 1,000 limit down to $200 and when ask they said payment history I had them since 2019 never missed a payment or had an issue. They send generated email as a reply instead of researching the account this system is ran by an computer system and non run properly.

I will no longer be using this site and will find another site that has better customer service.

They wanted me to pay them back with a late payment I did then they said I could never use them again. That just wasted my money of the late payment when I got nothing out of it. I could've saved my own money. What a bunch of bs these f-ers are.

DO NOT USE AFTERPAY! It is best to just buy what you can when you can from the actual company/merchant. Using Afterpay is not worth the hassle and the loss of money and time trying to get "YOUR MONEY BACK!" I returned items worth over 100.00 and was only partially refunded less than a third of my refund. Customer service is horrible and can only be contacted by email (probably because they have a lot of irate and frustrated customers)! They do this adjusted order total thing that don't add or subtract correctly. The customer service email person basically told me I was only getting what was refunded to me. So now I'm out money and merchandise! I even contacted the merchant and they told me that Afterpay was suppose to give me my full refund. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO USE Afterpay. Even the "perks/rewards" are a joke!"

Tried to use after pay on a purchase it had my old mobile number in order to get my forgotten password after pay sends a code the problem is there sending it to the wrong # and after giving them my name email address new mobil number they still can't get it straight! Well its okay will be using another payment method! Good luck if you ever change your mobil number!

On 3/15/23, I informed Afterpay that a package was stolen and I have video proof that the package was stolen. I went to the actual company GOAT as well and let them know what happened. GOAT did not want to refund me because the package was already shipped and said delivered. Afterpay did not want to reimburse me either because of GOAT's decision. I went to my bank to dispute the credit and they stated my claim was denied because they don't protect consumers who pay with third parties. So, I'm out $200+ because Afterpay is a third party site. Please use PayPal instead.

I would never recommend or use AfterPay again! My problem is to get my refund! I had to change my bank card because my card was compromised. Immediately I changed my banking information with Afterpay. Recently, I returned an item. Afterpay has refunded me 1 out of 4 payments to my new account number, and the remaining funds were deposited to my old card. It was mentioned I made the mistake and had to keep my information current with them. I repeated several times that it is and that they made the mistake. And I can't understandy why or how because my information is current. The last email from Afterpay is that I have to call the bank and ask for the funds! I cannot get through to them that I didn't make the mistake, and every email is telling me to seek additional help go to the help centre. And that's a joke! I cannot believe they can stay open and treat customers the way they do!

I've used Afterpay for quite sometime, HOWEVER if you have an issue/problem they are the WORST! No human body, no phone number to call, only communication is by email and those "time out" if you don't respond in their timeframe. Never will use again.

I have been going backwards and forwards with Afterpay trying to get my refund. I did an in-store return. I attached receipt and Afterpay still will not refund my money. The associate at Ashley Stewart had me to double click on AfterPay to initiate return/refund. I am still being charged for an item which I do not have. AfterPay is telling me oh it was issued to your card ending 5670. I'm like I don't have a credit card ending numbers. A credit card like display appeared on the Afterpay app.

Once I get these items paid, I will not be using AfterPay no time soon. Their customer service is ridiculous…absolutely horrible. Take my advice "Don't fall for the scam…buy now pay later. They got that right you will pay later. Please steer clear. Use Klarna instead.

I recently lost my job, I contacted afterpay to put my account on hold whilst I gained other work, wich I quickly did. I paid off the outstanding amount quicker and sooner than the arranged payment plan. Then when I asked and my account restored and able to use it again, they then gave me a lowzy $100 on my account to be able to use. What a joke! Before contacting them and having the hold put on I had a spending limit of over #2000!
Never again will I attempt to do the right thing, especially not with this service

I purchased an item with after-pay from Old Navy - and returned it - trying to get ahold of customer service regarding this matter is impossible. You have to wait for them to they no longer have phones. It is all done via email.
When they finally get to you, it's a runaround on when you will get a refund (the order was already paid in full). Old Navy, because I returned it in-store, had to refund it to After-Pay I have that on my receipt refunded to After-pay, but After-pay states it was refunded directly to me. NO, IT WASN'T.

Reduce spend limit
May 10, 2023

Tried to write through app to reduce my spending limit. Currently I have 3000. And want to take it to 1000 but guess what, it won't let me. Says it needs to be less than my limit, um hello I'm sure 1000 is less than 3000. Of course you can't ring. This is my 2nd negative on afterpay. Disgusting service
