Agoda customer service absolutely SUCKS! They have zero customer service - they are unprofessional, unkind, nasty and they speak like trained ROBOTS!
They booked me in the WRONG hotel to start off with! Then they didn't include the breakfast option even though I selected the breakfast option. They don't even have the decency to refund to your account! If you are lucky to get some minimal disappointing refund, it will be as Agoda cash where you can ONLY use it through another booking of a different hotel. SIMPLY RIDICULOUS!
They don't return calls, they don't even entertain you on the phone and they have ZERO SYMPATHY AND EMPATHY!
The last booking on Agoda mentioned you WON"T BE CHARGED FOR THIS BOOKING NOW - GUESS WHAT! The minute I decided to just book the room - AGODA CHARGED MY CARD STRAIGHT AWAY!

I requested Agoda reserve 3 nights for me in Orlando. They reserved 2 and then refused ro change it. My dispute through the credit card company resulted in them canceling the reservation and charging me $414 penalty.
Do not do business with this pack of scammers.
I booked and paid for a room via Agoda but when I got to the hostel the manager says he cant find my booking. I showed him the confirmation, but he just told me to contact Agoda.
Finding contact info for Agoda (except a chatbot) is not easy. But after a while I found an email via a forum of other guests that are having a hard time getting in contact with Agoda.
I got a reply quite fast on the email but it was not much of help so I wrote back. Then it took hours for the next reply, during that time I checked in at another hostel.
Next day at 7 in the morning Agoda woke me up with a phone call. The person I spoke to had a one way conversation script she was reading from. She didnt listen to me at all. And she wanted to "compensate" me by returning my money. I wouldnt call that a compensation. (Got some money, but not even the whole sum).
I am travelling a big part of the year and are booking lots of rooms and dorms. If Agoda would replied a bit quicker, not hiding their contact details, educate the support staff and giving me an ok compensation they would have a happy returning costumer instead of this review.
I was double booked for a stay at hotel which was their error. They are refusing to refund my money for their error. I have emails to as proof also
We booked our first Coron hotel with Agoda and promised to give us a seaside view as stated on the booking. But we were frustrated when we got a corner room with no view at all and the hotel cannot do anything about it.
Book last January 16 to 19,2024 for a visiting friend thru Agoda.com. We got this condotel unit in Acqua Iguazo Tower in Mandaluyong, Philippines. We checked the reviews and it was 4 to 5 stars, it was nearly excellent. But before you can able to reserve the unit you have to put your credit card number to confirm your booking which we did. We got the confirmation thru e-mail and said to contact the point person listed was named C.A. There was no mentioned of her celphone number nor her E-mail. It was only thru Agoda messenger you can communicate. The day come Jan. 24, no C.A. Contacted us nor any message from the point person or Agoda itself. I message Agoda about this but nothing I tried to find the name of the point person thru messenger but no answer. I dont know if the point person is real of dead. What we know is our credit card was already charged! It was night when I decided to go to this condotel... and I was surprise that the guards and the attendants in the bldg. Said that C.A. Doesn't go there ever. She only calls or send e-mails. They don't even know her where about, address or phone number.
Long story short... we got scammed! Despite our effort in reporting this and to numerous calls and e-mails, Agoda doesn't care. In short Agoda is harboring scammers. So to all of you guys who are online booking enthusiasts, be careful. Verify first if the Condotel or Residence is legit, for us, we will rather book in a Hotel where you can pay upfront.
I made a reservation for Makkah Tower Hotel (Saudi Arabia) from December 26-30,2023, and had fully paid for it. Upon arriving at the hotel with my family of four after an extensive journey from North America, the hotel reception informed me that they could not locate my booking in their system and advised me to contact Agoda. Despite multiple calls to Agoda, during which they provided the same confirmation number I already had, they were unable to assist. After enduring several hang-ups and prolonged wait times, Agoda could neither reach the hotel nor offer an alternative solution.
After over three hours of waiting, Agoda presented me with the options of a refund or waiting for several more hours for further assistance. Despite assuring me they would confirm a new hotel or booking over the phone, they ultimately issued a refund and left me to find accommodation on my own. Faced with the inconvenience of carrying all our luggage and after an additional three hours of waiting, I had no choice but to book another hotel (by myself) across from the original one at double the price. This lack of alternatives left me disappointed and frustrated.
I am entitled to complete compensation, but nothing has been offered. This experience has led me to vow never to use Agoda again, and I am left questioning the quality of service provided. This incident marked my first time using Agoda, and I find their performance to be unacceptable. Shame on Agoda for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by their inability to fulfill a confirmed booking.
You will be stranded with no room or have to pay high rate of room since they will not inform you if your booking was cancelled. Very poor customer service and only chat. No empathy too.
I Booked Through Agoda for a 1 day stay@ Queens inn Velankanni on 06th Jan 2024. I had booked the hotel including Complementary Breakfast, but to my surprise the Hotel charged me Breakfast, and i had to pay, then when i checked on my email and subsequently with the details@ the Hotel, the Complementary food has not be mentioned, The charges with food itself was cheaper at the hotel, and was expensive@ Agoda, They are cheating the customer and has no response from their customer Care
I have never visited the Agoda.com website or made a booking with them. However, agoda.com managed to debit a large sum of money from my account via another site on which I wanted to make a purchase. This site is 100% fraudulent and dishonest. Customer service is no help at all and asks for personal information to help you in order to rip you off even more. NEVER USE THEIR SERVICE
Do not use this service it redirects you in the guise of saving you money, and all you will end up with, a load of crap and heartaches and a loss of cash and hypertension do not deal with these people!
I've done a booking to a hotel named same as the hotel im supposed to stay in while im in the reception exactly same name the receptionist told me but just after a minutes the receptionist told me that he is not able to verify my booking so he checked the booking details from my phone then he told please cancel this its not our hotel and he helped to find the right name, anyway i immediately start contacting #agoda to process a cancelation or fix this issue but their phone service keep hanging up so i tried another scenario using their chatting service and the agent connected after one hour of waiting and I've explained my problem to him he said that this booking cancelation is not refundable even after explaining to him that its mistakenly booked and i asked to cancel after its done right away! So i approched their help center again using the email and I've explained that booking has been done by mistake and i need to cancel it and refund whatever its possible but they keep back and forth me with the emails and last email they told me "sir please confirm for a partial refund but make sure to reply before 8:30 pm because after that time its dificult to cancel the reservation!" Keep in mind that I've received the same email after 8 pm and i was away from my phone and that email was like the 10th email im receiving from them! That remind me of the popular scamers which ask you to pay before it's too late :) after all of this i've approched the help center chatting again to complain and he promised to send one last email for cancelation confirmation but now after i slept and awaken like after 6 hours I'm still not receiving any email from them.

Booked one hotel "Sky Beach View" in north Goa. This is a guest room and each room price rs 800. But Agoda is showing 5-6 k. If you want to call Agoda cc There is no number to call customer care. One number is in google site, but that is not valid. Please avoid this type of booking even when you book confirm by call to hotel and customer care. Even you can not see Sky Beach View Hotel - no picture of the hotel. There is no Hotel contact number and there is no Hotel name. Easily you can verify, Just try to cal Agoda CC. Its not working You can not reach to CC. Or try to find Hotel contatct, there is no number.
I booked a 5 star hotel through Agoda with option pay later. 4 days prior to my date, I tried to make the payment. It declined. Tried many cards of different banks and people. All of them are same as rejected. Agoda customer care caanot do anything. They must add more payment options like net banking. So, for Indians they should avoid the site for any booking.
I have been using this app for the last 8 years and have made countless bookings through them. After my last experience, I will no longer support their awful business. Their customer service is a joke and they offer apartments on their website that lie about their services. I was ripped off by one of their offers and they did absolutely nothing to support me. I spent countless hours emailing and calling trying to get my money back. The cherry on top was when they did not post my honest review of the shady apartment and could not give me an explanation as to why it was not posted! I will be telling everyone to not use them and their shady owner, Booking.com. I am now a customer of hotels.com.
Looking for hotel in Bangkok. Option 1 just room, price A. Option 2,room plus airport transfer, tea/coffee, drinking water, price B. I chose option 2, but when at hotel all option 2 extras are include in option 1. So agoda are conning/ scamming people into paying more for extras which are free!
I booked online with this site. Had never used them before and will absolutely NEVER use them again. I get to the place I'm staying. I had reserved a King bed and received a room with a single Queen bed. There were no extra pillows due to the place being booked and I had 3 pillows to use between me and my husband when I should have had more due to booking a larger bed. I did not pack extra, 1 to save space and 2, because I know what I reserved and what I should have received. Not only was it an inconvenience, it was more money out of pocket due to having to go to a store and buy pillows! I have neck issues. I would have came prepared but I've never had a site screw up my booking so this has never been an issue. I spoke with the front desk and was given print out of the information they received, 1 Queen bed. I receive an email from Agoda basically telling me they cant do anything and the outcome of me request will be determined by the property's decision...Ummmmm, hello...The property didn't screw up! They only went by the information provided by Agoda! Agoda should take responsibility for their screw up. That being said, use a different booking site! This one is a headache!
My recent booking experience with Green park ambaji through Agoda on 23/12/2023 was nothing short of a disaster. The chaos began when we discovered two hotels with the same name side by side, each denying our online reservation.
The first hotel claimed not to accept online bookings, while the second offered a room at an exorbitant price. Desperate, we attempted to contact the given phone number, leading us on a wild goose chase across different cities and unresponsive property owners.
After countless calls, we finally reached someone who provided yet another number. This pattern continued until it became evident we had fallen victim to a scam, leaving us stranded at midnight. Agoda's customer care was equally frustrating, with a language barrier adding to the ordeal.
Now, Agoda is demanding proof of our visit, conversations with the property owner, and more. This experience highlights Agoda's lack of support staff in India and their blatant disregard for customer well-being.
Save yourself the trouble – steer clear of Hotel Green park ambaji and Agoda. This site and hotel have proven to be a nightmare, and I urge anyone reading this to choose more reliable alternatives for their bookings.
I booked with Red Roof Inn on 11/24-11/25 and was charged for cancellation. It's been over a month and I still have not received my refund they charged me for cancellation. They are crooks & scammers.
They are scammers sitting there collecting people's money! I made reservation and call the hotel to confirm after three days. The hotel told me that they canceled today's ago. When i contacted agoda they said the reservation is cancelled they making up stories. They said they are going to refund my money. After he hang up the phone he send me emails saying that zero refund (very much they rip my money). I paid for two person they took my money saying that cancellation fee for something that I didn't cancelled! They cancelled and take my money saying that cancellation fee interesting! Stupid people

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
