I use this website fairly often for work related tasks. They used to show a lot more backlinks, but now you can only see a few unless you sign up/pay. Eh.
Alexa is one of the worst sites ever. They deleted all the reviews that were on there. What's the point if they don't enforce the rules anyway. They never did. The site is extremely slow and the customer service is very poor. Don't waste your time with this site. That's about it.
I was always interested in Alexa and was interested how they got their information. Their information on my site was massively different to google analytic, so I signed up. They said it would take 30 days to get proper stats.
So I waited for 30 days, and the results didn't change. Bounce rate showed 40% (when it was less than 10)' visitor locations were way out,,, is was just hopeless.
So I ignore them now.
Alexa was once a useful tool for webmasters. Now they only provide accurate information to those who pay and it seems even penalize the sites of those who don't.
My site has increased in legitimate traffic week over week, month over month for the last 4 months yet my highest Alexa rank was 4 months ago (95k). Since then my rank has dropped to the 130ks and held there. SO either Alexa was horribly inaccurate before or it is penalizing site owners who don't now pay for the service...
It's sad what Alexa has become, I remember when it used to be the gold standard of site metrics.
Alexa providing a great deep look to our website how the business is growing day by day and also having great options to see website performance... So i love it so much...
Alexa Great going,...
Thanks!
Alexa provides great insight into the traffic and performance of any website. Alexa has been helping us a lot to keep a track of our websites worth and how our website is being ranked globally.
This is not an independant review site, as it once was.
It now does nothing more than stroke the ego's of site owners.
Some of the Sitejabber reviews of Alexa appear to have been made by Alexa employees, on viewing the content.
Alexa provides great insight into the traffic and performance of any website.
Although the high-end statistics require a subscription that Google Analytics provides free of charge, I understand providing this data publically requires some overhead.
Great website to review the performance of your favourite websites; discover new, up and coming websites; or even see how your personally website is doing.
The best tool in the market for compared website analytics for a marketer, and doing competitor reviews
Owned by AMAZON, used to be a respectable site with worthwhile info. NOT anymore! Stick to selling amazon, leave the reviews and recommendations to sites like sitejabber!
This is probably one of the leading websites statistics aggregators out there which does not install any code on your site. I use this as a beginning stage of research about my particular sites or competitor sites but I still take it with a grain of salt.
I've looked at how they aggregate the data and it's not as accurate as you would like. They have to make a lot of compromises on the quality of the data and sample size because they are not all knowing.
The fact that it is backed by Amazon both reassures me in knowing that the quality might be good but also scares me in that Amazon gets to know so much data about the entire Internet.
What's good is not always popular, and what's popular is not always good, but on the Internet, popularity and quality go are found together often enough. Alexa.com helps us find the most frequently visited sites in many categories.
Pretty cool, good to check and see what failing websites are out there.
Alexa has been helping us alot to keep a track of our websites worth and how our website is being ranked globally. We regularly use Alexa to monitor search queries coming to our website, The locations from where our website is being visited and etc etc. Quite useful for us.
Really informative. So many numbers and stats about any website. However the website design could be more advanced
Alexa gives us a great take on web data and traffic.
Alexa is one of the best ways to see what's the highest/most visited site on the Internet today. They offer a lot of free tools that can be used to check the status of your website. My favorite feature on alexa would have to be the audience demographic results. It breaks down into categories like age, gender, education, has children, and browsing location.
There is also an advanced feature of the audience demographic results, but you have to download & install their toolbar to see the results. The only difference is that they add income and ethnicity to the list of results
Love it they give you similar sites to the one your looking at, but there is 2 much mumbo jumbo going on on their site, narrow it down give us what we need we don't need to about their url or watever
Terrible website, whatever you do, don't sign up to it! Once you do you're not able to delete your account, no matter how much you request. The customer support is not just zero, it's minus. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
