I'm satisfied, my order was shipping very fast (day after ordering) and arrived quickly. Very good service.
Just recently started dealing with them before Christmas, signed up for Prime with the intention of canceling it before my one month free trial is us.
First of all, I have heard that it is overpriced. My thoughts on that are that you have to do your own price checking, like anywhere. I received my products free of shipping and within the 2 days promised! I did 5 seperate orders and had a problem with none of them! I do have to return a few things, 2 were gifts for my sister that she didn't want(my bad) and also I ordered a French version of a car that clearly stated French. Should have ordered the Canadian version (my bad). In this case the consumer is responsible for the shipping and return product, which is cleRly stated in their rules. I called ahead and explained the situation and they were more than happy to give me very nice reduced shipping cost! Like WOW! Who doe that! Amazon.Ca does! Highly recommend this company hands down!
Have ordered several items through amazon.ca using the Amazon.ca seller. ALL items arrived within 2 - 3 days! AMAZING! Packaging is fantastic, items are as described!
I used amazon.ca this year to order some Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers as time was an issue for me this year to get shopping done. My order was broken up into 4 separate shipping packages. The first pkg I received was missing one of my items. The second package I received arrived broken. Third pkg one item was missing and one item was broken. Forth pkg didn't arrive at all. I now have to spend time making phone calls and printing return labels and going to Canada Post to return and file for refunds. It would have been easier to just go shopping myself. Live and learn hopefully my experience helps others.
I was a seller with 100% rating and was suddenly blocked because they found a connection to someone who was previously blocked - my son.
I am not connected to him or his business in any way but they still blocked me. Appeals were ignored.
When commented about how rude & poor delivery time & communication from the seller because the seller reply with own country language when asked about better delivery time. Amazon blocked the comment for the reason of the violation of their respectable conduct rules of the comment... really.
I notice a charge in my MasterCard for kindle. I don't even have a kindle. I called Amazon.ca to question the charge, I forgot the ladies name but she couldn't have been more accommodating and nice. Great service.
If you do your homework before ordering you can get great product for less than retail. Sometimes 3rd parties charge more than retail. This is not a fault of Amazon. Simple advice. Do homework before ordering your products to find best value for your hard earned dollar
Very upset with how they handle their same day delivery packages. They use a company called dynamex (also a horrible company, read the reviews) my packaged was supposed to be delivered on 29 of October by 8pm, so I called the company and they said it would be 1-2 hours. It is now 10:41pm still no package. So. I called again and they said that he could not get a hold of the driver, and that it would most likely be delivered tomorrow. I did not pay the extra for a guaranteed same day delivery for nothing. The reason I'm writing this bad review for Amazon as well is because you should not use their express shipping as this is clearly not the first time it's happened. As long as they continue to use dynamex i will not be ordering again.
I have been ordering from Amazon for several years now and recently added Amazon Prime. My hubby is in love with the free movies. Prime is even set up so if you want to cancel during the 30 day free trial you can do so right away, in case you forget. That's honest!
Items arrive quickly, tracking and communication are great and easy. I also deal with Amazon.com and my experience is just as good. Not one bad experience in years of use. You can trust this company and order with confidence.
The one con is that they have different pricing for the same item so make sure you are buying at the lowest price!
Credit card from Amazon.ca shows an expiry date of 11/15. However, they decided to close my account in Dec/14 - without notifying me. Just placed an order and was repeatedly sent emails telling me to update payment info. I finally had to call them, and customer service was useless. Told me my account and credit card were closed due to inactivity. Very frustrating. Why would they not have contacted me, or left my credit card open until expiry date on card - 11 more months? I will find the items elsewhere.
NOT IMPRESSED.
"BUYER BEWARE!
Very disappointed with the Customer Service at Amazon. Advertised FIFA 16 for $59.99 if you Pre-Order. Credit card was later billed the original price of $79.99. I called Amazon.ca Customer Service, and they admitted that they incorrectly priced FIFA 16 (when you Pre-Order) and failed to honor the price I saw when I made the purchase. That was the only reason I was going to buy from Amazon. The Rep, Chelsea check to see if I ordered before they corrected the issue, which she verified and still do not honor the purchase price. I will order at Best Buy instead.
If you ask about where your packages are... If you complain about late arrivals... If you talk about not recieving your items... They will jist basically cancel you out forever. Smh horrible... How is that the customers fault!. Go investigate why!
Hey everyone. Have I got a good one for you! This one's about my least favourite online company. Amazon Canaduh! Way back in August I ordered a World's Smallest Hot Wheel car. It was supposed to show up yesterday. Guess what? I didn't show up. Anyways I tried calling this braindamaged orangutans. Try being the key word. I was on hold for nearly an hour listening to thier nerve grating elevator music punctuated with the occasional "please hold while we continue to ignore your call" spiel. I finally gave up and hung up. That's just a prime example of how big businesses can get away with screwing over the little guy. Personsally I don't care if I get my parcel or not because I've had it with these clowns.
I've used amazon several times in the past year:
Textbook from a seller (only $15 normally at least $30-60)
Comic book from a seller (only $25 normally at least $80)
DVDs and eneloop rechargeable batteries from amazon (really good deals)
All shipped normally with no problem and item in described condition.
Recently ordered a mosquito net from a seller, and it hasn't gotten to me yet after waiting a month, but we'll see. As it is my rating is still 5 for all the past phenomenal deals from amazon.ca.
I have purchased a number of items through Amazon.ca and have always found that whatever you buy is shipped quickly and efficiently and usually arrives within a couple weeks.
Yes that is a big BUT, The similarities end at the name, Amazon.ca is Amazon.com without the huge and varied inventory, the low prices the quick shipping the great customer service the ease of returns, I could go on but I think you get the point. Besides Amazon.ca is just really for Canadians that don't live close to the border, smoked a joint when they were a kid and the Americans still don't trust you, who knows what you could do now you may be a well respected Surgeon by day and family man by night, but deep down the Americans know that joint was not a onetime thing you have something evil brewing in what is left in that drug addled mind, or you have not figured out the shipping forwarders yet (the fact that they exist and how large and industry it is becoming speaks for itself) Or maybe some think that if you shop on Amazon.ca you are buying Chinese crap locally? I was joking here and really hope that phenomenon does not exist.
On a positive note if you do need cable or something from China and you are not in a hurry... at all. They have a pretty good handle on selling you Chinese goods that in a couple of months you will get a knock on the door, by this time you have forgotten what you ordered or the technology has already become obsolete. But you still do get to show your friends "look what I got all the way from Hong Kong. I forget what it is or does and the instructions are in Mandarin but look at the cool postage mark and how little the postage cost why we can't send a letter across the street for that" (plus it would take longer).
I bought a replacement Samsung phone battery that way, it was cheap and counterfeit of course it would not hold a charge long enough to turn my phone on. So then I had to try and guess where to dispose of it, It looks like a battery but act more like a piece of wood, pretty sure there was no lithium in it so I tossed it in the regular garbage. Gasp, Yep that is what I did and it haunts me to this day.
I use amazon.com all the time but I live in Canada so I ship items to a family member in the States. I would love to have the convenience of shopping from home but it in no way compares.
I need a few books at a certain time and the shipping was a bit delayed but still received.
Slow shipping is nothing really and I still have lots of trust in Amazon and will continue to buy unless there's better prices some where else.
They might as well just get rid of amazon.ca, it the most USELESS site ive ever been on. Have fun scrolling through pages of currently unavailable items. Nothing from. Com is on the. Ca site. And get this, YOUR ACCOUNT BALANCE IS NON TRANSFERABLE. I really hate amazon and will never ever shop there again. EBAY FOR THE WIN!
Answer: If Amazon is going to use a third party courier service, (such as Intelcom), cancel your order and shop elsewhere.
Answer: Don't believe their delivery guarantee. They are late 4/10 times and are unremorseful for it
Answer: Very tough! No longer usable fir me, a Top 1000 and Vines Reviewer.
Answer: If you need customer service good luck it's not existing
Answer: I've never had to pay duty on anything from Amazon.ca, even if it was shipped from another country.
Answer: Happened to me. Just another sneaky way that Amazon operates. Welcome to the club.
