The overall reputation of the company appears to be declining, with numerous customers expressing frustration over product quality and inconsistent service. While some positive experiences were noted regarding specific deliveries, the majority of feedback highlights significant issues, particularly with returns, customer support accessibility, and the handling of complaints. Many customers reported long delays in refunds and dissatisfaction with third-party seller transactions. Additionally, concerns about misleading promotions and inadequate packaging further contribute to a negative sentiment. Overall, the company faces challenges in maintaining customer satisfaction and trust.

They had a couple of hard-to-find items at decent prices and reasonably quick delivery. I really don't like being known by a string of gibberish that I finally used after dozens of laborious attempts to find an available version of my name. I'll be first in line to switch when there are ratings to find similar businesses who treat their workers like human beings, never mind the price.
I ordered Chromecast that had a promotion for free movies. The movies were supposed to be added to my google account within a week. Now both Google and Amazon says that there was no promotion. I have screen shots but the both refuse to look at them. I am done with online shopping promotions. I expected more from Amazon.
Pretty well 90% of my online purchases are from Amazon.ca so it goes to show of my satisfaction with them. All of the products I ordered were as described. I did receive one item that was damaged, a toaster oven tray from Berville. It wasn't damaged in transit so I contacted Breville and they sent a replacement. Amazon's delivery is quite quick and they provide tracking info as well. I will continue ordering from them.
A wide variety of products you can get from the website, not just books, specially those products I cannot find in the regular stores, I can find it from this website. E. g Phone case for Huawei Ascend Mate 1. And it is sold cheaper than all other websites and cell phone accessory stores.
Realistic expectation of delivery date and usually it is delivered earlier than expected date.
I have been using Amazon Canada now for about one year. I find that the prices are so reasonable, and the quality of products excellent. I have purchased numerous items and have delighted with all of them. Customer service when I did have one problem was excellent and the problem was resolved with one phone call to them. I have looked at other web sites but have never been as confident to purchase items as I do from Amazon. I will continue to be a loyal shopper on their web site.
I came to check out on Amazon.ca and a message came up "open an Amazon Visa account and get 40% off" When I did that a message came back... It takes up to a month to review your application. All that was for Amazon.ca to steal my heme address date of birth telephone number etc. No Visa card or discount. I want Amazon to remove everything collected from me from their record... I don't ever intend to shop from Amazon.ca again!
I bought a very expensive set of headphones from a store on Amazon.ca. This store was not the actual Amazon.ca store; it was a private one. The store sold me counterfeit headphones. When I notified Amazon, they refunded my money within the 10 days (or what the guidelines were, I can't remember the exact time frame). I received my money back and the private seller's store is now offline. Thank you Amazon for protecting our purchases!
Great product variety, lightening fast shipping & low prices! One of the best websites for online shopping. Highly recommended.
Have never had a problem. Love being able to order gifts & have them shipped directly to the person I'm buying for. With the price of postage right now the free shipping with orders over $25 is definitely an added bonus. Items always arrive in a timely fashion unless they notify you up front that they are back ordered & then you have the option to cancel.
I am a bookseller offering his used books at amazon.ca, so perhaps I am biased. There are thousands of individual sellers on this site, so maybe some of them are not as dependable as others, but it is always possible to check their rating before buying from them. Anyway, I also bought new books from amazon itself, and the service was absolutely perfect.
Why is amazon.ca listing items for sale that do not exist? I ordered a book that was to be delivered in 1 to 2 weeks, then the item was delayed to 3 months.
If they do not have the item, why not say item is backordered? This was amazon.ca not a seller using amazon.ca
I have ordered from this site a few times, and they're ok. I did have one bad experience but they were quick to resolve the issue.
The only thing I did notice is that there are certain things available on amazon.com that are not available on amazon.ca You can log into amazon.com using your registered amazon.ca log in, but they won't ship to you.
Spent an hour over the chat arguing with 2 different reps what 2 day shipping is. Placed my order on a Tuesday. It's now Friday and Amazon still hasn't shipped my package. Both items in stock the entire time. I purchased prime before making the order and thought I would have my package by Friday. Still waiting for them to even ship me the package. The rep refuses to refund me my money for prime or cancel my membership. Keeps telling me sorry? Would rather order form locals and get better service and products then have to deal with these monkeys!
They have limited selections compared to amazon.com; and for a similar item amazon.ca prices are higher than amazon.com.
The worst part is that amazon.com do not ship to Canada; so we are stuck with a $#*!ty service as usual.
Amazon eh!
Amazon.ca is what I call a $#*!ty version of a masterpiece (Amazon.com).
Prices, selections, offers and services are completely different.
If you find something on Amazon.ca that you liked and wanted to buy, Just change (. Ca) to (. Com) and see the difference.
That's all I can say!
Worst customer service on the internet. SavingsMall admitted they made a mistake of $56.00 in my order but refuse to pay for it. I got a runaround for about 6 months and still nothing has been done.
Always fantastic customer service, fast shipping and low prices. A++++
Love the connections to individual sellers for used books, and always shipped fast and well packaged
I've never had a problem with this site, but I generally find that amazon.com has a better selection of the books I want, and amazon.com carries many more items than are available at amazon.ca. If I can find the item I want at amazon.ca and I can get a good shipping rate than I always order from here, but that is seldom the case unfortunately.
I've been using Amazon for a lot of my purchase of books, even books that are harder to find can be found there.
The only drawback, for me, is the amount of French books available. It's a hit or miss, but still a lot of French books are available, so this site is my most reliable for book-related purchase, even gaming (RPG), or DVD/Blu-Rays are readilly available.
Answer: If Amazon is going to use a third party courier service, (such as Intelcom), cancel your order and shop elsewhere.
Answer: Don't believe their delivery guarantee. They are late 4/10 times and are unremorseful for it
Answer: Very tough! No longer usable fir me, a Top 1000 and Vines Reviewer.
Answer: If you need customer service good luck it's not existing
Answer: I've never had to pay duty on anything from Amazon.ca, even if it was shipped from another country.
Answer: Happened to me. Just another sneaky way that Amazon operates. Welcome to the club.
