There are so many ads on this site, and it needs to load them every time you scroll to the next slide, so it's ridiculously slow!
For a site with potential for the topics and pictures, yet this site is very unfriendly and slow. At first, I tried to negotiate through the site waiting... and waiting... and waiting... and waiting... and waiting... and waiting... and waiting... and waiting... and waiting... and waiting for the page to open up. I purchased a brand new computer and yet this site is so slow, I thought there was something wrong with my computer until I go to other web sites. Sometimes the same pictures would have two different sentences, why? Why not combining two sentences together and move on to the next picture? This site is so jammed packed with sooo many advertisements that it literally bogged down the loading of the page. It's a wonder why these people bothered to advertise on this site. NOW a lot of time I click on the picture with interesting topic and once I look up and see it's Answer site-I immediately close it and avoid it like the plague. Why did I took time to write this review? Because like I said, the site have potential to be better but I bet the morons that run this site won't read reviews like this to fix their own sites. It's a shame!
I have an 8 processor PC with 8 gigs of ram and a high end graphics card. Answers dot com loads so slow that I have to close the tab and move on. They get paid for ad "views" even if you close the site before it fully opens, so they don't care that it is slow. I wish some hacker would shut them down.
Answers.com could be such a great site if it weren't so utterly stupid. I don't want to click on an arrow 5 times to read about one topic in their list of 10 whatevers. I really hate the site and it pains me every time I happen upon it!
I am so tired of clicking on interesting articles, such as "10 Ways Your City Control's Your Behavior" or "10 Celebrity Look Alikes," which then lead me to a poorly formatted page. To make matters worse, article information is spread across 20 pages that you have to click through to see and each page takes over 10 seconds to load. Not impressed.
Sometimes the topics are interesting but I avoid it like the plague unless it's something that I'm really curious about because it's generally not worth the wasted time waiting for... Each... Screen... To... Load...
Yawn!
Being bored to tears, I've perused Answers.com and it truly has perpetuated killing time.
In addition to inane and disrespectful content, it's riddled with spelling and grammatical errors, incorrect advice that's never been investigated, and as slow as I imagine the individuals who provided the "articles". If they're six-year-olds, then it all makes sense...
Answers.com will not provide you with intelligent information. It is the online equivalent to what we adults think of the rag mags like "The Enquirer"; if you take it seriously, you probably wear a helmet all day because the doctor said so.
Then again, I've caught Fox News Chicago in just as much offensive content and grammar faux pas. I suppose it's become acceptable to not know that "an" is used before a noun beginning with a vowel, since it's also common to use "roofs", "wolfs", "knifes", and let's not forget the past tense for "purchase" as "boughten". SMH.
I see this on my facebook feed and I hate it. They have slow ad spamming article pages and it doesn't even work as much, sims 3 on this computer runs better than answers.com.
Those are obviously bogus reviews from Answers.com employees. Fast?! Great content?! Where's a good hacker when you need one.
Why does your website stop my browser dead in its tracks? A few add would keep me there, your ads drive me to move instantly on
Crashes my browser everytime I go to it! Brand new pc with windows 10 and a 100mb cable modem. Too much going on to load a simple page!
Some of the headlines sound interesting but the site is so bogged down with ads that it takes forever to load the articles. Horrible format and design.
They are one of those bottom feeder clickbait websites and they are all bad but this one takes first prize for being the absolute worse. They inundate their website with so many ads that it takes forever to load and when it finally does it doesn't work properly and looks terrible. I just came from one of those stupid top 10 clickbait things they have and it was ridiculous. You have to click the "next" button to reload the page multiple time just to get to the next number in the list. Each time you click it has a couple of sentences of information, then you have to click again to get more of the information. All in an attempt to generate money from ads. I doubt they have a single journalist that works there. Websites like this should be wiped from the face of the earth. Don't support them and never visit.
answers.com really sucks, I was 11 yrs old trying to load Answers.com and now I am 48 yrs old and it still loading... OMG please don't renew their website when it expire
The website is very good even though people complain about the ads, it doesn't matter and it's fast
It is slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! It has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to many ads. Above ALL else in the universe I hateeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this site. Am I being clear on my opinion?
This is the crappiest web site I have ever seen. It makes dial-up porn from the 90s look like a slick presentation. There are so many stupid flash ads that they disable the site. The company actually claims they use the latest technology--well, even a BMW sucks when you fill it full of garbage and burn out the engine.
They have some interesting slide shows that you CANT view because the site is so bogged down by ads. I understand they need ads to make money but they also need people to be able use the website. I make sure to NOT click on any articles from answers.com because you cant read the article and end up frustrated. I often wonder if the people that run the site ever actually try to use it. If they did they would know it is complete crap. I would have like to been able to give it no star for the rating or negative stars.
The site is a P. O. S. Boggs down my computer, slower than heck. I avoid Answers.com like the plague!
Answer: Same I dint get an awnser
Answer: The content is meaningless fluff, so don't worry about reading any articles from Answers.com as their site has anything but answers. It's a clicklbait site designed to draw the curious in and lock their computers so they stare at the ads waiting indeterminable amounts of time for the next slide to load. Stay away, it's a trap.
