My order placed on May 2nd was received May 17th. The order is missing two items, and I received correspondence from Avenue asking me to send a picture of what I received. Why? I gave order numbers and item discription. They don't have quality control? They should have a way to count how many items were brought against how many items are in stock. I have reported their undehaded practices to BBB and Consumer Alliance and I have determined to write a letter a day to every customer protection agency until the issue is resolved..
I was old hold for 40 minutes. I called to find out where was my order and I was told it was delivered (to someplace) on 6/13. I'm out of money and no dress. I am pissed.
I have had my Avenue Credit Card for over 12 years and was a customer for over 18. I just got notified by my credit report that my credit card has been closed with no warning or notification. I used this card 13 months ago. Yes, I know it was a year with no activity but even major credit card companies give you some sort of notification. This will hit my credit history hard since it was one of my oldest accounts. When I called all they could offer me was running my credit again and reopening another account. Which would be another negative against my score. I was never late on my payments, never missed a payment.
I was helped by BRY FEDDERN today. She was very helpfull. She helped me with the purchase of my new vehicle. She also helped me with paying offf my mortage. Bry explained everything so i was able to understand all the details on both transactions Bry had a pleasant attitude throughout the intire proccess THAKS BRY!
My order was shipped late, besides that. I get my order and my size 11's are all 2 sizes way to big. I have 4 pairs of boots that are so huge I couldn't even wear extra socks to make them fit. Like... what is wrong with the sizing? Nowhere says to order smaller... two or three sizes smaller.
Avenue does not stand by loyal customers. I made a purchase that was shipped federal express. Apparently they delivered the package to the wrong address. They never investigated or checked my order history. Out of the item I ordered and I'm out of the shipping charge as well. Done with this company that solely relies on a call center to make final decisions. Not recommended if you need customer service.
I have been shopping for plus size clothes with Avenue for over 5 years. I have always had a good experience. Suddenly I bought pajamas for my moms birthday that were never delivered. I was told it wasn't there problem so no refund! WTF? How is it my fault. They finally agreed to issue a gift card which to this day I have NEVER received. This is unbelievable.
I have been ordering from The Avenue for 2 years now once "one stop" completely ruined their sizing, quality and jacked up their prices. I LOVE AVENUE! The ONLY time I had an issue was in Fall of 2021 when an order hadn't shipped in a week. I CALLED them and they apologized, stating that over 50% of the warehouse staff was out with COVID. They, without asking, immediately upgraded me to 2 day shipping, free of charge and gave me a $20 off coupon with no order minimum. If you would have an issue, CALL or ONLINE CHAT... Email takes longer.
As for quality, the only thing I can compare to is OLD Lane Bryant from back in the 90's before they decided to alienate their customer base and charge $90 for a pair of jeans. The quality is WAY BEYOND the price you will pay. The fabrics are unbelievable quality, the sizing is 100% correct and the website lists the fit for every measurement... example - every item lists the fabric and in tops, it lists the fit in bust, waist, etc in terms of fit (relaxed, fitted). It also lists if the fabric has stretch, how much stretch, etc. In pants, lists the inseam, waist, etc. It tells you what size the model is, etc.
They also have fantastic extended sizes on many items. I love my pj's extra roomy and order a bigger extended size and LOVE THEM!
Price-wise, I have yet to pay full price for anything! Their sales are constant (usually 50 to 60% off!) and the clearance and last chance offerings are extensive.
I usually receive my orders in a week or less... normal shipping or free shipping. Every order I place, they send a coupon for $10 off my next order with NO limitations other than $40 order... good for clearance! I just received an order today... $59.95 for 4 clearance tops and a pair of pj's with a scrunchie!
Looking at most negative reviews here, they seem to be during the peak of covid... or are from people that likely can't be pleased or have an entitled mentality (I never trust reviews with typos, either).
I am 49 years old and worked at LB for 7 years back in the 90's and since then, no clothes have even come close to the incredible quality, price and fit of The Avenue!
I spent quite a bit of money and every shirt I bought pilled on the first day of wearing it. Now after wearing once all the clothes look like crap so that was money down the drain. Money that I did not have to throw away. It was really disappointing. The material was cheap and uncomfortable as well.
My order was completed 11/20/21, and here it is 12/24/21 and I haven't received it. The postal service isn't the issue. I understood that it was late. My issue was with customer service. I sent 4 emails, Thad two chats and even called the customer service line only to get a discounted line, then I received a line that wasn't accepting calls. I chatted with a rep thar told me that because of the time frame I could t get a refund. I explained to her that I had done my part by continuously trying to contact someone, but yet she said I couldn't get a refund. I then began emailing again. Today on 12/24/21, I got another agent/rep and she said there would be a refund. Its been over a month! I had to get a little snippy with her to get the results I needed. This experience was absolutely ridiculous. Avenue has officially lost a long time customer. OFFICIALLY!
One star is too much to give! I bought several items and Avenue did not include one item and even though the bag was not tampered with they claimed it may have been a mistake in the warehouse and then claimed it must have been lost in transit and refused to refund the item. I was so disgusted that I returned all the other items I had purchased. Very poor customer service and I will NEVER purchase from AVENUE again. I am now disputing this item with my credit card. CUSTOMER BEWARE!
I made 2 orders the first was lost in their warehouse, and they refused to refund my money, or regenerate a new order. My credit card company is handling that part. The second I did receive, the quality is very poor and I was sent the wrong size. Wonder how long it will take(if ever) to get my PARTIAL refund (they charge to generate a label, using my printer and ink!) I do not recommend this company to ANYONE if I had a lawyer on retainer, I would take this further. My overall rating is 0 but I had to push a button to continue
I was hesitant after reading all the negative reviews about Avenue.com but I must say, I had a superb experience. I placed my order Nov. 5 and it arrived Nov. 11. Granted I'm a state over so it might take longer in other parts of the country. I ordered three pairs of boots and they came neatly packaged, correct sizes and correct color.
The best part is that I needed to return a pair that was too big and they have this thing called Happy Return and you can drop it off without a label or package to a FedEx or other participating locations. The return shipping is free and you get a refund INSTANTLY.
I went ahead and placed a second order for some shirts. Fingers crossed I have the same experience. It seems they may have sorted out whatever problems they were having.
First time ordering from Avenue, and I'm very pleased. Ordered everything alittle bigger ( just in case) realized I didn't need to. The bigger sizes look fabulous over leggings and go perfectly with the tall boots I ordered, which fit great. I will be doing ordering more. Only 4 stars because the fulfillment did take a couple weeks, which seemed a little long but once shipped, it came fast. My first order was cancelled because they ran out of stock, so had to reorder. Overall I'm happy I found this place.

I have contacted customer support multiple times to only be told they are researching, for 2 weeks, although fed ex clearly shows I never received the item. Oh but I should look around the house anyway. Now for the past week I am waiting on a gift card as they do not issue refunds on insured shipped items. Where is that gift card? Since hitting menopause and gaining five pounds for last ten years, I felt terrible shopping for clothes until I discovered Avenue and City Chic where I have now spent over $1, 000.The measurement guidelines and careful tailoring that have been 95% accurate have led me to just a few returns--much better than my luck at my former in-person department stores. Now instead of feeling ashamed and mournful about my new body size in Department Store fitting rooms, I feel happy about trying clothes on in the comfort and privacy of my home. And returns are conveniently a skip through the park and down the street at my local UPS. The ingeniously designed comfortable clothes that accentuate my curves and features, have helped teach me to love my body and feel beautiful again. Strangers will stop me on the street to compliment me! I haven't seen clothes this well made since the 1980s, with beautiful silky linings, extra inseam zippers, bows and ties and all the touches that made me feel spoiled in my youth in a special birthday dress. These clothes are beyond my wildest dreams. I can feel good about going to work and out on date night with my spouse. On my first order, the company had just gone bankrupt, was bought out and transitioning to an Australian company and I had to wait over a month. The returns were difficult as well. Now all those website and return kinks have been ironed out and reviews have started to be much more positive. I had no trouble on subsequent orders. My suggestion is to call the store the NEW AVENUE, because obviously things are night and day from the Avenue that received all the poor reviews. Congratulations NEW AVENUE, my new favorite clothes store!
The sizes online don't even compare to the sizes in the store. I bought several shirts and pants in the size that I had always purchased, and the clothes are literally falling off. They're about 2 sizes too big. What a disappointment. I had to return the entire shipment
Got an email that order shipped Mon Oct 4. Package shows that it wasn't given to FedEx until Fri Oct 8th@ 5pm. I ordered for my vacation. I'm leaving tomorrow and pkg shows that it won't deliver until Ths, which is a day too late and there won't be anyone a home, which means pkg could be stolen while I'm away. I'm returning all items and beginning a dispute for non-delivery. I had to go on the FedEx site and apply a hold to deliveries to my address.
I called Avenue, only to be lectured by Samantha about shipping times. That doesn't solve my problem. Avenue, keep treating your customers badly and soon you won't have any. There's a reason you had to close ALL your stores at a time when Americans are larger than ever. You deserve your fate. You can't compete.

I placed an order for some clothing on 9/24/21. My items were received the first week of October.
After trying on the clothes, I found they were mis-sewn on some of the shirts, causing them to be extra tight around the breasts. Since I ordered the largest size the company had, I needed to return them for a refund and to have the option of purchasing something else.
Knowing Avenue does not allow returns on "Final Sale" products, I purposefully chose clothing that was not in the final sale selections.
I contact Avenue 10/11/21 to find out why I'm unable to return the clothing I purchased. Even though my purchases were not on "Final Sale" at the time of purchase, Avenue has put them as "Final Sale" now, which is preventing me from returning the clothing.
The CS Rep (Faith) was not being assistive, only kept stating there's nothing that can be done. Avenue's business as a whole fails when it comes to Customer Service and helping right a wrong, that Avenue actually did. Because of this move Avenue has taken, they have stolen my money!
This is unfair to me, especially when I made sure they were not on final sale prior to my purchase.
I've given Avenue many attempts to be my clothing store and each time, they fail miserably. Shame on the Avenue Brand. It is no where near top of the line in women's clothing any more, and this example is just one of many reasons why.
Avenue owes me the ability to return the items I had trouble with (there's only 2 that are now "Final Sale" now that I need to return), so I can get my money returned to me and make another purchase for a different shirt.
I'm not asking for a freebie or anything like that, just the opportunity to get a refund in those two shirts so I can replace them with something else.
One star is to much this company gets NO stars. I never received my order or a refund. I called over and over to be on hold for hours then the call drops. I did the chat for the caned replies that said order will deliver. Emails are auto reply answers of no solution. Even to state they are not "responsible" for failed deliveries. It hasn't as of October 9,2021 for and order placed and paid for on August 16,2021. The FedEx tracking gives future dates of delivery and when that day comes it changes to another future date. Over $80.00 dollar order. Mail feud. Theft.
