As a U.S. military veteran, I have dealt with high-pressure situations, difficult people, and environments where integrity isn't optional — it's required. My recent experience with Bath & Body Works showed me the exact opposite of integrity, accountability, or basic respect.
On November 15th, I placed an online order and realized within minutes that my address was wrong. I did what any responsible customer would do: I contacted customer service immediately. Instead of help, I was met with hostility, dismissiveness, and representatives who seemed more interested in arguing than resolving a simple issue. Not one person showed professionalism.
After hours of pushing through rude and uncooperative staff, I was finally told my order would be canceled. I relied on that confirmation — because when someone tells you something is canceled, you expect them to follow through.
Bath & Body Works did not.
I was still charged $58 for the order they claimed was canceled. And because they refused to correct the address or take responsibility, the package shipped to the wrong location. I then had to pay another $30 to UPS out of my own pocket to fix a problem their employees refused to address.
As a veteran, I understand chain of command, responsibility, and owning your actions. Bath & Body Works demonstrated none of the above. Their customer service team was disrespectful, unprofessional, and openly dismissive — behavior that would never be tolerated in any disciplined environment.
After researching online, I found countless customers dealing with the same issues: false cancellations, rude agents, and zero accountability. This is not a one-off failure — it's a company culture problem.
Bath & Body Works should be embarrassed by how they treat their customers — especially those who served this country. I didn't expect special treatment. I expected honesty, competence, and basic human decency. I received none of that.
This company needs a complete overhaul of its customer service culture. People deserve better than the disrespect and negligence I experienced.
Worst online shopping experience ever with Bath & Body Works.
I've placed the same order FOUR TIMES, and they've cancelled it every single time—with no proper explanation, no apology, and no solution. Just a generic cancellation notice after making me wait. This is beyond frustrating and completely unprofessional. I expected better from such a big brand. If you can't fulfill orders, why even list them on your site? And where is the customer support when we need answers? I used to love Bath & Body Works, but after this experience, I'm seriously reconsidering. Do better.
I've shipped for years here. I hadn't bought anything in about 5 years due to muscular skeletal issues. Finally able.to make a purchase for my grandchild daughter and self, I made several large purchases in December January and February.at first I thought it was just me, the scent didn't seem to be as strong but as I've used them not much, they are all the same. The lotion isn't as thick as it use to be either. You have to spray within minutes after the first applicant. I remember being able to put this.thick lotion on and spraying and the smell would last for hours on end. This is a complete rip off.I'll be calling customer service and asking for a s shipping label.at their cost and a reimbursement. As they should. Im.not a happy customer. These companies should not be allowed to make their products weaker to gain from their weak product. If you want customer satisfaction then you product has to be satiying.and they aren't. One of my orders where on line and I had to send it back because products bottle wasn't full one didn't have a cap as it should have.it was poor.I can only give this business a *******% as it all around has failed.go back to using quality.and people will buy quantity..
I bought 2 bottles of Japanese Cherry Blossom Travel Size Body Lotion. And there is an offer of Buy 2, Get 2 but didn't get another 2 bottles. Support says while adding in cart, customer have to add free bottles also means instead of 2 have to add 4 bottles. But it's not written on checkout page. They say it's written in terms and conditions. Every time how is it possible to read terms and conditions. Who will not like to get free offer. Support refuse to consider my issue. They are cheating customer.
They have watered down all their scents. Most are almost the same scent, none of them last more than thirty minutes. The prices are ridiculous,no one should be paying full price for anything from them. Wallflowers are useless now, they smell for a day or two at most. And now they are shrinking the bottle sizes and charging the same price. This company greed has gotten out of hand. Shop elsewhere people
I purchase an order Dec 10,. In the amount of 38.37, Dec.,12 my order was cancelled. I called customer service dec.12 asap, I spoke with them and my refund was suppose to be 34.88. Dec.16 I received a refund of 3.84. They refuse to give me my refund.I never received any merchandise. They are wrong to keep my money and never gave me any merchandise. They stole my money. They are thieves. Do not shop on line because they will steal your money!
I don't know what happened to this company. Placed an order on 12/6 for 15 candles. The package was delivered to the wrong address on 12/15 by Fed-ex, who uploaded a picture of my package on someone else's porch, a house with white siding. My house is orange-brown. I called Bath & Body Works early the next morning and spoke with a customer service rep who told me he was shipping out a replacement package. When I asked for the order number he said it was the same number and I would get a confirmation email. Late that night I had not gotten an email so I contacted the Chat service online and asked the agent, whose name was not provided, if a replacement order had been made and was told it was cancelled because some of the items were out of stock. He said he could only ship 9 of the 15 items because the rest were out of stock. When I pointed out that only 2 items were showing out of stock online he said that even though they were showing in stock they could not be replaced. So he was clearly lying to me. When I questioned him about this, he abruptly ended the chat. I reinitiated a chat and asked for a refund the next "Agent" (probably same one) abruptly said that he or she could not assist with the problem and ended the chat. I repeated the process once more with the same results. I just got off the phone with my bank to dispute the charge. It is unbelievable that it had to come to that. We have shopped here for years, decades even, and we are sad because we love their candles. Needless to say, I will not be shopping here again.
So I wait in line for my turn for the candle sale it new it was a hoax they keep pushing back the time like four times I never was able to order with the sale never again
Horrible shipping time and worst customer service. I would never ever order from them online again. You place an order it takes five days maybe more to send the items out. There's no way to contact customer service horrible, horrible, horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible experience
My family, my friends, my coworkers and myself were avid consumers of Bath & Body Works products since the early 90s, we all had our fragance preferences and products, always included them in our Christmas presents, now we don't. I would like to share my own little story about B&BW. When I moved abroad many years ago I took several B&BW products because they were not available where I was moving to, one of them was the foamy hand soap Eucalyptus and Mint, my young nephew there, then 10 years old loved it and used it every time he came to visit me, I found this to be so cute that I stopped using it myself just to save it for him to use. He is now 16 years old, and I have to say that when I left about a year ago to return to the United States, after all those years the insignificant amount left in the bottle smelled and foamed beautifully just like its first day! Back in the United States I kept wanting to go to the B&B Works to buy this product and take it to him on my next visit and also replenish my B & BW products. Another favorite fragrance of mine was Japanese Cherry Blossom. By the way I still have a small bottle of that lotion that I have carried in my purse all these years and still smells and feels the same! To finish this let me say that a few months ago me and a friend finally found the time to go to a B&BW store and Oh My! What a disappointment that was, everything we sampled in those two fragrances in different products smelled like cheap sweet odors, we tried several other fragrances but everything smelled just cheap. My next thing will be to take my Japanese Cherry Blossoms lotion left over to a Bath & Body Works store and have someone at the store test it and verify what I am talking about. I cannot believe how they ruined their once wonderful products! They are now an insult to their former customers, and say former because I do believe no one that used their products before, the way they used to be, are still buying them today.
I have been dating my girlfriend for over 3 years and I decided to present her a beautiful gift. She loves luxury cosmetics and I found this shop to buy her some of them. There are so many cosmetic products available and I bought for her Diamond of the Season "Ultimate Hydration Body Cream" and she loved it very much, of course besides that I bought lots of other cosmetics but this one she appreciated mostly. If someone wants to give a present to their sister, girlfriend or mother, I can recommend this one and you won't regret it!
This company is very fast sending you the products.I love all the soaps.I find no problem with them.the pumps work fine with the hand washing soaps.I feel bad for the customers that find they don't pump.I will continue buying from them

I will honestly never shop here again. I love how good their stuff smells but their customer service is way beyond HORRIBLE. This morning I tried placing an order online using paypal pay in 4. Every single time after paypal takes out your money it routes you back to bbw website. Then in red letters it says oops your address in paypal is wrong. However the address in paypal is using your address in BBW. My address is in correctly I don't know how else I can put in my address other than the right way. Never had issues with my address with previous orders. I rechecked everything did it again. I ended up trying 4 different times each time money got deducted from my account. I get on chat he tells me to refresh sign out wait 30 minutes and go back in. I did that and tried again took money out, order still not placed, then I call I get some clueless lady on the phone and she says oh it didn't go through because we don't use that method. I said BS because you advertise it on your ordering page and on top of that I just placed another order a few days ago using same method. I asked for a supervisor then she acted like she was finding one and hung up on me. I call back and someone else acted like he couldn't hear me and hung up. I call back I cannot express how much I was fuming at this point. I get a supervisor on the phone who offers a $20 gift card for the inconvenience and promises I will get same promotion when I go back in to place another order. Also says they will have tech support fix it. It's not at the end of the day. I never got anything from them, also thought I would try again tried twice. I now have the money pending out of my account 6 times. I will NEVER EVER place another order with them. Get with the times BBW my goodness. Honestly their website is the worst and they should upgrade with as much money as they bring in.
I went in Pittsburg Kansas Bath & Body Works I was in there at least 15 minutes praying the body spray smelling them not once did the cashier ask if I needed any help then when I was around by the cashier register and I guess I sprayed one that wasn't a tester which I sprayed quite a few of them it wasn't testers that's the only time she said anything to me is there a tester of it we do have testers over there I let her know that there wasn't any of that kind so I went to put the one back on the shelf that I sprayed and she come over and took it and let me have that and put it behind the counter I felt like white trash I literally walked out I will not be treated that way that was just wrong that is not good customer service I'm an assistant manager at a restaurant and I know you don't ever treat your customers like that I will not ever go back there I will send everybody I know and I know a lot of people to drop them because I've been in there and they treat you good
Usually shipping doesn't take as long but they used FedEx. This time they are using USPS. When I track it, the items went through processing this morning and was originally scheduled for delivery today. Upon checking tracking when it wasn't delivered, now it won't be delivered till Monday March 4. Today is February 28,2024! USPS is sitting on my B&BW for 5 days! I understand B&BW has no control over USPS and how long they hang on to my product but why did they change who they ship through when it was working? Fifteen days to wait for shipping inside the USA is ridiculous and it's been I inside my state for 2 days prior.
For years I have compared other candles to B&B's candles. And I would always choose B&B's candles until now! And I didn't mind spending 100 dollars or more. But now for some reason the scent of the candles have decreased. The chemist or botanist or whoever is not putting the same fragrance as before. I can tell. So they won't do anything about and I WONT ever buy candles from them again!
I have been buying this soap for so long I dont remember when I didnt have it. Every year I buy enough Vanilla Bean Noel to last my husband and I for the whole year. For the longest time it was was the best vanilla scent I could find anywhere. Then the musk was added and it wasnt so great anymore. Every year it gets a little worse. This year is the worst though. I dont even know what it smells like anymore but i will not be buying again. So very disappointed. No one will ever match the original smell.
I placed a pickup order at a store near me for some wallflower refills. I got the confirmation email, then the email that the order was ready for pickup all while I was at work. A few hours passed and I got an email saying my order was cancelled. I called the store to see if I still needed to come pick anything up, and they said they never even received my order. I have all the confirmations so I know it was the correct address and I know my connection was sound when I placed it. They told me to place another order but the item was already out of stock in store and shipping is $7, and it's been >36 hours without getting my 20% off returned so I couldn't have combined that with the sale which I did in the first place, which ended 2 days ago. Meh
Received broken product and was informed by their customer service that they would backfill. 2 weeks later get an email that they are not going to backfill and that I needed to take the complaint up with LazerShip that delivered the package. Contacted LazerShip and they informed that that had to work with Bath & Body Works, so I am left with $191 of damaged broken product.
Answer: I used to think Bath and Bodyworks products were worth all the money they charge but now after buying my last batch of candles the fragrance has decreased tremendously. No lie.
