Well, after four different customer service agents assured me over the course of the last week that my wedding dress would be shipped and arrive on time for my scaled back, covid wedding, it indeed will not. As I suspected, it's not a covid delay, it's not because it's being shipped from a store, and it's not a number of other excuses they gave me for why it hadn't shipped in over two weeks. They never had it in stock to begin with, and finally, after keeping me on the hook all this time, my order was cancelled with an impersonal email and a 10% off coupon Just 4 days before my wedding day. Do not shop at Bergdorf Goodman online!
I purchased a trio of Iles Formula haircare products (shampoo, conditioner and serum) from Bergdorf Goodman that I am accustomed to using and typically purchase from a local salon that was closed due to COVID-19. I needed/expected them to arrive before I left for a trip. I selected free 2-day shipping via Shoprunner as my shipping option. Instead, they sent the package via ground, and it took well over a week to arrive. They assured me there was nothing they could do, and even insisted I had selected ground shipping, which I had not. The package did not arrive before I left for my trip. I had to buy the products from another website and pay for expedited shipping in order for them to arrive before I left.
When I returned home, I printed an online return form/label to send the items back, citing my reason as "Did not arrive in time". I never used or even open any of the items, and hadn't even removed them from the shipping box! Almost a month later, I received all three items back via Fedex, with a generic printed letter saying they cannot accept my return because all of the items "appear to have been used and are not in saleable condition". I never opened ANY of the boxes/bottles and had immediately sent them back. Based on other reviews, I think this company is running a scam and refuses to accept any returns, even when the return guidelines are met. What a horrible company. Their parent company recently declared bankruptcy and closed down many stores. Hopefully they aren't in business much longer, because a company that cheats their customers like this doesn't deserve to be in business.
Bergdorf Goodman is a terrible site. They kept having some trouble with my order until I canceled it. But even though I canceled my order, I'm still waiting to get my money back. I don't know what the problem is, it used to be a reliable site. You can't use it now, and the packages don't always come intact.
I ordered a dress online and sent it to a tax free zip code. As I was mistakenly charged tax I emailed and asked them to refund the tax. They asked me to FAX the tax exempt form so they could do this. After explaining I do not own a fax machine anymore as this is 2020 not 1990, they kept emailing back the same instructions: there is no email for that department and I need to fax the form! No wonder these US department stores are dying off, they refuse to modernise, listen to their customers or do the right thing. They could have easily looked up the web link I emailed confirming the tax free status but no, they would prefer to keep repeating the same antiquated instructions and lose another customer!
I bought a perfume from them came with a huge shipping box and the glass bottle came with no packaging and no box? Good thing it didn't break. I won't return it cause I like the perfume but wouldnt order from them ever again.
I bought a handbag from(bergdorfgoodman.com) it was time i finally got something more adult than a plastic zip lock bag for holding toiletries while traveling, this was affordable and bigger than expected, plenty of room for everything yet small enough it doesn't take up much space.
Not sure if the following of these three ladies actually occured, but if it did, BG definetly owes these ladies an apology.
We purchased some cosmetics online and when they arrived were not what my wife expected. BG did provide a mailing label to return the product for a refund. The problem is that we paid $167.80 for the product and after 2 weeks waiting for the refund, they only refunded $125.85. A call to them to find out why, was a complete waste of time. The person had now idea and pretty much said that's the way it is. We would not recommend you trust this seller or site.
Ordered a handbag during their last promotion of gift card bonus w/purchase, in Oct.
The wrong handbag came(wrong colored hardware). I immediately contacted and got a return label, shipped return straight away. Instead of simply fill the order correctly, they have now charged my debit card again for the same purchase $$$, no REFUND showing!
3 weeks later, they have now 2 transactions for the handbag and I still do not even have the purse.
It should have been expedited to me, and don't understand why a second charge, as the style number has not changed.?
Plus this was done on promo, so I even get by bonus gift card. Literally the only reason I bought from Bergdoorfs...
Now I have to call and attempt to sort this out.
This may be the last time I order online w/ Bergdorf's. Your company is supposed to be better at customer service, this is turned into a headache.
I brought a 500$ la mer concentrate. It caused me allergy problems. So I called the customer service and returned the product. But I got an email told me it's not refundable. I used this product from another story, I loved it. They must sell not trusted product.
You can always count on Bergdorf's to have something when you are looking for a fashionable outfit that'll make a statement even if it is last minute - at least this is my experience. They are one of my absolute favorite department stores!
They are so unhelpful when it comes to shipping options. They sent me a package with Fedex Home Delivery, with a signature required. I wasn't home and I asked them to remove the restriction on the package so I can be able to pick it up at one of their locations and they said they don't do it. Plain and simple. I can't take time off work to sit around at home and wait for FedEx to redeliver, therefore the package will get returned to sender. I was counting on this package to arrive because it was a gift for mom's birthday. Shopping at Bergdorf Goodman created such an inconvenience. Never again.
My package stuck in Fedex facility for a few days, I contacted BG, they said they are going to send me a replacement, asked me to wait for confirmation email, which never came. So I asked for a few times, the recent customer service person said she did some research and CANCEL my claim. I still haven't got my product which I paid for, or any replacement or any refund, and my claim was cancelled. I can't believe it. Speechless.

I ordered 4 comforters and got scammed. They never answer phone and I received a fraud alert from my bank. Illegal alien scammer.
I tried to buy 3 - $500 gift cards and the first was approved but the next two were not approved because it appeared to be a "duplicate transaction". I received an email from Bergdorf informing me of this with a phone number to call for questions. When you call the number you are told I'm sorry a 3rd party manages our gift cards. I asked if I could call, email, or do an online inquiry only to be told they don't have any contact information for the 3rd party. I elevated to 3 different people and one gave me a new phone number to call the credit department who handles the gift cards. The man who answered then proceeded to tell me the same, a 3rd party handles those and they have no contact info. Just trying to spend $1500 with them and they have put up every barrier possible! No wonder department stores are failing!
Wrong items were shipped to me. Instead of feeling sorry and shipping the right items to me right away, I was told they have to get back the wrong items before they can ship me the right items. Gee, I was shocked. You won't expect such a bad customer service from a high end retailer. This is worse than Walmart. I think Walmart will ship you the right items right away when they give you like 30 days to ship back the wrong items. So when I first reported the issue though chatting, I though maybe the representative was working from India and didn't understand the company policy of the Bergdorf Goodman. So I called by phone but received the same answer! Very disappointed indeed. Some other high end retailers will definitely ship you the right items right away and probably will let you keep the wrong items as a way of saying "sorry" and saving you the trouble of shipping the item back so you won't be punished for their mistake.

Answer: I didn't get the right item shipped to me. It went out of stock. And they did nothing but offer an insincere apology and forced me to go through all the effort of managing the return.
