Anyone who shops on gift card event should be prepared that BG could scam you out with the promotion. I placed an order over two months ago and so far I still haven't received a gift card. I called in a couple times asking what was going on and even the customer service manager had no idea when they would issue the gift card after I asked them to give me an estimated time. I spent $2000 to get that answer. What a joke! Very disappointed at the way the so-called high end store's CS works. They should have learned from Saks when it comes to gift card events which BG doesn't do often.
My first online purchase from BG will be my last.
I returned some items and it supposedly takes about 3 weeks.
Within those 3 weeks, customer service is unable to track the package using the smart label they actually provided!
So if you have a large return, you just have to sit there and hope they recieved it.
Really bad custumer service. I paid for overnight shipping, received a week later. It was a birthday gift. Very disappointed.
I spend $5000 to get $1000 gift card, i told them i order wrong size for 1 of the item and need to change, but if it will affect to my $1000 gift card i don't want to cancel the shoes. They said they will submitted my request, i wait for almost 4 month, i send email with very slow respond and when i call the lady name Shiena really not helpfull and end up they only give me $450 gift card not as promised after long wait almost 4 months... really disappointed.
The worst customer service and return set up I've ever seen. They could learn something from Gap, Target, anyone! No refund or exchange when using paypal, and they take 3 weeks to refund your money AND THEY SENT THE WRONG DRESS ENTIRELY!
I have tried to track down two separate returns that I sent using the return labels provided. It has been weeks and they can't even figure out where the items are. They keep telling me to call back in another week. VERY frustrating. I am as patient as you can get, but I'm just about out of gas here. Nobody calls back or emails back as promised. They want at least 30 FREAKING DAYS before they'll start a formal investigation. What in the world takes 30 days? They say the postal service hasn't even scanned the package even though I sent it maybe a month ago using the RETURN LABEL PROVIDED by Bergdorf. This is ridiculous. I was ordering from them because of the great stuff online and because of no sales tax, but I think I'm done.
I returned an item and it arrived about a month ago. No one seems to know the item's whereabout and I am just getting redirected. Refund process hasn't even started yet. Every customer service agent is telling me different things and none of what they have said to me actually happened.
Item i ordered still "in process" a week after i ordered... wtf... cancelled order... very disappointing
I order from here because they don't charge tax. Only downside is they take forever to ship.
I also had the same experience with a super cheap deal. Even got their credit card for it. 11 days later I still never received the item. No shipping information. So I called online customer service and they acted dumb and said they would send the information to the store so they can send it to me. 2 days later I received an email that my order was cancelled because it was out of stock. I agree it is a bunch of lies to lure you to buy other items on the website. Horrible! And the item is still on the website! Fraud!
I made the order on May 15th, paid for 25 USD for 2 days delivery, May 16th BG sent me a confirmation of delivery, May 16th also BG sent me ask for additional details, May17th I called BG customer service line at 8 am and provided all details, lady confirmed all OK and delivery to be scheduled for May 18th. May 18th - no delivery. I have spent 30 min with on line chat customer service, chasing and clarifying what s the status On line customer service confirmed - rudely - delivery for May 20th only. Nothing else, no willingness to help. After 30 min and after speaking to supervisor as well, I lost my patience and sadly cancelled the order.
Why pay 25 USD for fast delivery on May 15th to get a 900 USD worth of order to be deliver on May 20th?
On line chat with me as a customer - it took 30 min and I spoke even to supervisor - not helpful, not customer oriented and no willingness to listen, help or show limited empathy. Very sad, disappointed customer.
Ordered a pair of discounted shoes online three time, paid with credit card 3 times, got 3 times confirmation, but also got 3 time cancellation. But during 10 days while struggling with the order, the pair of shoes shows available online. Called customer service, was told it's out of stock. Asked why it's still showing available online, was told the website has not been updated.
The reason doesn't make sense at all. Who will believe the world famous department store's website has not been updated for 10 days?
It's entirely a customer cheating case that use fake discount merchandises online to lure customer.
Will never trust the Bergdorf Goodman again, and it has the worst customer service ever had.
Bergdorf is the style center of the city, and they have the best holiday windows. The 2015 windows might just be the best I have seen in the last 20 years - they're absolutely gorgeous!
As a first time buyer find the online ordering experience very perplex, and frustrating to the customer. Order would be cancelled without any notification or warning to the customer. Unbeknownst to the customer, there is some sort of fraud prevention verification process one may have to go through BEFORE placing the order otherwise the customer run the risk that their order " may or may not be cancelled automatically". BG is NOT obligated to notify the customer in any way that they verification process did not go through. The customer will "just have to call back to check". This is the process I gathered as i finished contacting BG customer service 5 times tonight (2 via online chat, 3 via phone). After being told to contact my credit card company unnecessarily twice come to find out the payment was processed and authorized by my credit card company. But returned by BG. I still don't know what is the problem. And why i cannot place order online. And now i am being told my item is sold out after one week of waiting. I agree with previous reviewer. The online chat rep are useless. They keep repeating the same information "pls contact your card holder" and their phone rep would said "i did not said it was your credit card problem".
I have never encounter this with any website and i am frequent online shopper. It shows BG online store does not value their customers and does not treat them with the same respect. Customer are expected to just deal with it or move on somewhere else. This is the message i perceived.

Placed an order for a $1000 dollar coat, online.
Received an email stating I need to call. Really? Why? Don't know.
So I called in, the customer rep seemed quite clueless and had me on hold for more than 10 minutes. She then told me that I had to call my credit card company to resolve the hold on the order.
Fine, so I call my credit card company and tell them the situation, but they told me that BergdorfGoodman has already taken the funds and everything was in the clear.
Frustrated, I go back online to BergdorfGoodman.com and bring up their customer rep chat.
The rep asked for my name and address. I replied.
After 5 minutes of silence, I said "is anyone home"?
No, "can you hold a while, as this is taking long"... or "sorry for the inconvenience"... nada.
All the agent said, "system is busy"... after another 5 minutes of long silence, the agent finally asks, "why did you call? Your order is fine, nothing is on hold."
WTF! Waste of good 30 minutes of my life. I can expect this type of service and ineptness from lessor retailer, but from BergdorfGoodman...
The customer rep REALLY needs to retraining, and the company REALLY needs to update whatever system they are running on...
Beautiful site with fabulous stuff and a great sense of pairing pieces together. A great place to get a sense of what is in style. My only complaint is that my budget limits the buying.
Berdorf Goodman is as good and expensive as it gets. My wife only gets to shop here once a year because that is all I can afford!
Owned by Neimans it gets FOURTY STARS. It is a wonderful site with spectacular clothing and accessories from top designers with a wide section. A trust worthy site as I have never had issue with the site or the store. I love the 5th ave NYC store and I try to shop there every time I am in the city. The site has many different items than what is available in store, moreover, when Bergdorf has a sale it is a fantastic sale- I am talking cheaper than outlet pricing. I wait for their sale over outlet because Bergdorf is first quality items with serious discounts. I love love love this store and I can not speak more highly of them. My love is shared with Neimans as their christmas book was my dreams in print, and they have great sales as well. Bergdorf just seems to have greater vaule sales... I swoon!
Answer: I didn't get the right item shipped to me. It went out of stock. And they did nothing but offer an insincere apology and forced me to go through all the effort of managing the return.
