Waited two years for an item because of covid and now the seller has shut down his account.
When I asked about the item, a year ago I got the Gettysburg address for an answer.
First of all the quality of their items are cheap and flimsy. Second, the customer service sucks. I won't buy anything from Bonanza again. If you want to be replied to respectfully as a customer, I recommend you don't buy from them either, unless you want to be disappointed.
There should be a No Star rating. Bonanza is the worst. I get an email about once a month to log in and sell at my store. I respond to the email they send me and of course I can't log in. I go to Bonanza.com and I can't log in. Who are these people that rate it highly? I have been an eBay seller for 17 years. I hate eBay and their stupid foolish decisions. But they make Bonanza look good.
I had a problem with my first order from this site. Zainaldockter20'sbooth and Bonanza addressed my issue promptly and I am satisfied and I will purchase from this site again.
I purchased a DVD concert at the end of September. I got a magazine ‼ I texted back and forth with Brandon and Shelly rep's from Bonanza. They were clueless about how to fix the problem. Shelly keep sending me messages saying she doesn't know how to send me a picture of the magazine ‼ I texted her I have magazine ‼ why would I need a picture. At this point I decided to take the Lost.( Buyer BEWARE HERE)
I recently set up a seller's page with $20,000 worth of merchandise for sale. The transfer tool was very user-friendly, but Bonanza has no customer or seller support phone number. Until they figure out no one in their right mind is going to do tens of thousands of dollars in interstate commerce without something as basic as phone service my seller's page will remain unactivated. They claim quick resolution by email, but that is hardly the case. Response time is slow, and questions are just referred to articles on their site. They claim a global shipping program, but I don't see it. Any company worth their salt where monies are exchanged for goods has a phone number; without something that basic they are worthless.
First, if you are contemplating using Bonanza, don't! I went on their site to buy a power miter saw because they were $40. Cheaper than Amazon. Well, Bonanza tells me they have no record of my transaction. The merchant does not respond to my messages. I have opened a dispute with PayPal.
I was looking for an alternative to ebay and thought I'd try Bonanza.
What a scam. It's free to list but your listings are INVISIBLE unless you agree to pay a "subscription fee" to Bonanza. No other online marketplace I know does this.
Unlike ebay, Mercari, Poshmark, Depop, Vinted, and almost every other platform, you have to pay a fee to get your listings visible, whether or not your listings sell. They make money no matter what you do.
This is not openly disclosed until you wonder why your listings never get any views. Then Bonanza sends you an email encouraging you to purchase their "subscription" so that people can actually see your listings!
What a waste of time and energy. From the comments here, it's clear that, even after you pay, you never get any sales.
Junk site.
My complaint to BBB: I decided to sell some computer and other electronic equipment. Reviews of bonanza.com were fairly decent and they offered a service to post items for free (see attached FAQ). Upon sale, they would then take certain fees. I understood this to be the case and accepted their fee structure.
I then received emails that I should "open the store." I thought it already was but went ahead and did so. I did NOT see any reference to a now MONTHLY fee of $25 and was unaware that this would be charged--if they stated this when I "opened" the store, it was NOT clear and I did not realize it until I received my c/c bill.
I immediately cancelled this "subscription" and contacted them requesting a refund. They refused, saying they'd already "provided a service" which was a service that yielded NOTHING. I removed my store and blocked them from placing further charges on my c/c.
I find their business model dishonest, misleading and their response arbitrary. I want my $25 returned immediately. I have uploaded the pertinent FAQs as found today, August 25,2022 on their website [done with BBB, not this site].
Bonanza has terrible customer serive. They dont have a phone number to contact anyone and there email customer support is the pits, sometime they take 3 days to get back to you.
Beware of there subcription service. They automatically charge your card or bank every year with out
Notifying you. Which is against the law according to the Federal Trading commission.
I will never sell there again or buy there either. There the worst.
I want to get out of eBay.
They aren't always easy to get a call to you
For a couple years we've not been able to call in.
I will not go to another co. That has only online.
I recieved an order from perfumgalleryinc (thru Bonanza), that I felt was not correct. Through emails and converses bonanza refunded my order without a problem. They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Also, they issued my refund immediately. I cannot say how much I appreciate the NON-hassle refund. I will definitely be shopping with bonanza again.
Bonanza gave one of my customers a $0.75 coupon which is great! Except, they said they would remove $0.75 from their fee but, they never did. When I called them on the fact that they did not take $0.75 from their fees, they insisted that I was not cheated although they could not explain or show me where they refunded me the $0.75.
I have at least 17 emails where Bonanza insisted that they did not cheat me and also where they just plain lied by saying that the $0.75 was refunded in their monthly "statement" even though there is NO MONTHLY STATEMENT! They take their fee at the time of sale.
Most of my sales are/were under $15 so $0.75 is significant. I think it may be a generational thing. In my day, the customer is always right. Instead of arguing for 17 or more email threads, I would have given one of my customers the $0.75. However, what they did was give me instructions for how to leave their platform.
And, by the way, emails to Shelly Breuer, Senior Happiness Manager, were never even acknowledged!
You will spend hours setting up and then list the items you want to sell. The setup is complicated and you can not get any help because their Customer Service does not exist. If you are expecting to make lots of sales, forget it. You will be lucky to make 1 and then there is a good chance the Buyer is a scammer, they will make a false claim, and you will have to refund. There are better selling sites, where you will make sales. Look around but stay away from these JOKERS.
Ordered one product & they switched sizes from what was advertised... SCAM SCAM
Don't order anything they have no phone to contact... BUYER BEWARE! Gave it a star as I had to... BUT ZERO RATING
USPS lost the package, found it 2 weeks later, returned it to the seller and no refund was issued and no communication from the seller. Bonanza is a useless website, contacted support, received instructions what I should do and brief explanation of their policies. I closed my account and will never order again. Neither will any member of my family. You are only good at collecting fees. When it comes to problems, you hide behind your policies and do nothing. The seller didn't give a $#*! and neither bonanza. You are a good match. Keep going like that. Wish you failure.
I'm a seller and registered on Bonanza to sell my product. I spent a day to upload the listings. The next day I found that I can not log into my account, it throws me to the main page. I wrote to the support and they answered, that I I can no longer use their site. So they kicked me out without any email or explaining the reason! My further questions were not answered by support.
Placed ordered with seller on their website, product never shipped / received. Bonanza said they suspended the seller, but offered no assistance for refund, said to work with pay pal.
Basically they do not screen their sellers and do not protect buyers in anyway.
DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!
I accidentally purchased a 12 month membership, and within 24 hours tried to cancel it. Well, its been 6 months and I have be recharged the membership. Wow... what a piece of crap company. They must be hurting for the $290. And really don't care about customer service or anybody. Watch out for this company. Years ago, they were better, but now. I would not trust them at all.
I tried Bonanza several times with different stores. I never sold anything. And you have to be careful. There are some scammers there too. I went and did my own website. You can see at www.fabricartfairy.com. It was easy to build. It takes a little while to get out there on search engines but I am starting to get attention. So try a do it yourself. This was easy. I have to call them once in awhile for a little help but not much. Good luck. Don't give up.

Answer: Not fake but not a good site to do business
Answer: Ebay. I always get great customer service from ebay... as a seller. Bonanza provides no customer service; if you have an issue, they just keep sending the same "canned" response over and over... and I had one sale on Bonanza for which they charged me a 17% fee... then they took $25 more out of my bank account... I have addressed both of these issues with Bonanza... Regarding the huge 17% fee... they sent me about seven (7) of the same "canned" response. I wanted a lesser % fee since their website claims they always charge the "lowest fee possible"... just one "canned" response after another... If they would have offered a more reasonable % fee in order to provide me with satisfactory customer service. I would have been satisfied; but they did not... after the seventh "canned" response... I closed my booth... And NOW... EVEN WORSE... they took an additional $25.00 out of my bank account... and for what I have no idea. I called the phone number which was listed with the transaction on my bank account and of course got a recording. I left my information, and it has been four days... and still no response. When you call ebay, you speak to a live person who works to solve your concerns... I HATE BONANZA... and you would think that BONANZA would not want RIDICULOUSLY UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS... but they do not care. I moved all my ebay items to Bonanza to see if it was a better experience than ebay... ebay's fees are 10%... and they have a much larger shopping audience... and they have real customer service people that you can talk to. Bonanza has a much smaller shopping audience, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL, and their goal appears to be to charge sellers the most enormous fees that they can get away with. I never get online to post negative reviews... I generally get online to post about great customer service and great products... I like to keep things on the POSITIVE... but this is just not possible with BONANZA... they are like a Phantom Selling Platform... totally disgusted. I will be reporting BONANZA to the BBB and to the US Attorney General's Office. Very disappointing experience.
Answer: Sellers can create and offer coupons with zero limitations ("Sell on Bonanza > Edit booth options > Discounts & Coupons").
Answer: I set up my account with Bonanza and their platform is pretty much the same as setting up an account with eBay, Etsy, Amazon, etc. What problems are you having?
Answer: I have never seen any benefit to paying extra for advertising. Bonanza just doesnt do it like ebay does. Have you ever seen a Bonanza ad on TV? Nope. And therein lies the problem. Nobody will shop there if they havent heard of it. True many sellers are leaving ebay (or sadly being kicked off by the BS) but nearly everyone goes to Bonanza to SELL not to buy.
Answer: Yes and the answer be sure if ya are absent minded of being taken advantage of..
