BuildZoom staff always answered my questions fully and got back to me quickly. They provided a number of good contractors, and I was very pleased with the one I selected. BuildZoom gave me confidence every step of the way.
Buildzoom assisted us with finding the appropriate contractor and reviewing the bid. Buildzoom also helped us with dealing with the local county and navigating the building codes. It was beneficial to have them corresponding with the contractor to follow up on needed items in the bid process. I would recommend based on our experience.
Ron and his team were amazing. They are very professional, reliable, and willing to go the extra mile. I had kitchen remodeling work done by his company and it was completely seamless. Great ideas and fun to work with-- also Ron is a true GEM!
I would highly recommend them for any project mid-size to high end. Can't say enough great things
In this crazy environment of the housing market, my wife and I thought we would try building our retirement home. I wouldn't suggest building a house in the best of times. It was not easy finding a competent builder that wasn't way over priced. BuildZoom has a very professional staff that listens to what you are saying and than matches you to builders in the area you are building. As well as builders that understand what you have in mind for your new home. We have had a wonderful experience with BuildZoom, we were able to find a great builder at a competitive price!
We recommend them to anyone looking for a builder. We hope this has helped you in your search for a builder.
Had terrific experience working with BuildZoom's project management team on my country home remodel in Hudson River Valley (New York). Their premium service was worth every penny for the piece of mind. Highly recommend for those looking for competent support to execute on any project.
I am a contractor in the Bay Area, and used Buildzoom many of times. They have a great system that will find a reliable licensed contractor. The background work they do on all business they recommend to homeowners is second to none. They have made the process of connecting with a client very smooth. I really appreciate the work they do and love working with them. I highly recommend Buildzoom!
In 2019, I was trying to build out an art studio for my first franchise and I knew very little about selecting contractors or doing a project of this magnitude outside of the small amount of help franchise HQ could do to help me. I found BuildZoom and found it to be an amazing service. They worked with HQ on the requirements and found me 3 different contractor bids to review and choose from. I only wish I had known I could use them to find an architect too for the entire project! They were super responsive and always helped me follow up with my contractor when I wasn't getting a response. They are also super knowledgeable about the whole industry so they are able to ask the right questions and get you fair prices as well as explain the whole process. Owning a small business is SO difficult with so many different things to navigate, but the people at BuildZoom at least made the buildout process so much easier. I paid for the premium service and for my $200k+ project, it was well worth the price. If I ever need a big construction project done again, I'd definitely go to them for help.
I'm building my condo, and I got a lot of help from BuildZoom. I signed up, little nervous I was, but I received an e-mail asking for my information about the project and they helped me find a list of contractors that could help me. This all came from an actual person as well, answering my e-mails within the day I had questions of. They helped me set everything up, and I am just so happy with all they've done!
I called Build Zoom a while back to get help with a pool install. Rory helped me from start to finish and made sure I was satisfied with my contractors. I was very impressed with his customer service level. When I'm ready for a new build I will definitely call them again
We used BuildZoom to find contractors to convert our garage to a studio including full kitchen, bathroom and in-unit washer/dryer. We loved our experience and would use BuildZoom for any future projects.
On time and on budget.
Great experience remodeling my kitchen and bathroom. Excellent professional work. Recommend to all
My friends and family
I hired Grace Creek Construction off of your web site. Andrew Schmit is the owner. Found that he had his business under another name, Diamond Flooring and Remodeling. He left my bathroom remodel incomplete but took my money. I found a review from 2017 where he did the same thing to another home owner. Started the job and then stopped showing up or returning calls. The few times I was able to get through to him he stated medical issues. The review on porch.com/roanoke is the exact same experience I had with him. This man/company should not be listed or referred for any job. If you don't want to experience being taken for your money and incomplete work. DONT USE HIM. QUIT ADVERTISING HIM!
Not posted our reviews of a biz on their website, Chat refers us to Support email = no response dead end, NO review posted in weeks?!?!?
Insult to injury, their robo email ask the favor of a good review on line.
Replying to even robo = tar baby no response
I guess this is just a one-armed bandit slot machine cash cow unmanned.
A JOKE

Hello
My name is syeda and I wanted to share my experience of converting garage in separate unit. We tried to find right person for this project but we couldn't then my son told me to contact build zoom we called them they send so many person but luckily we got Christian Jimenez that day was luck for us, they did great work and his team is so hard work and honest, they did everything perfect as I wanted, I was so impressed because they did so many things which was not under the contract if they want they could charge more but they didn't charge any thing for extra work, their was work like family not only for money, sometimes I demand so much but they never mind so I just wanted to say thanks Christian Jimenez from my bottom of heart and recommend him for everyone, thanks
I own a business, a customer left me a negative review. There is no way to dispute the claims of the customer. Now I have to get questioned about said review by some customers which makes me look bad and has even cost me some jobs due to it. Not even a chance to defend myself!
Hello, to dispute a review, log-in to your BuildZoom account and go to Edit Profile. In the left-hand column of your dashboard --> Reviews --> Manage Reviews. Click the “Request Removal button” next to the review you’d like removed and include an explanation as to why you think the review should be removed.

I subscribed to buildzoom's "Premium" membership. It sounded good; I get a building professional to find me appropriate contractors and help me to review their proposals and estimates. Out of the gate, buildzoom learned a lot about my project, and set about finding contractors.
In this market, contractors don't really need to be responsive, so you have to keep pestering them to get an estimate. I was hoping that buildzoom would help me with that. Instead, I just had one more agent I had to pester - buildzoom themselves! Over the course of two months, buildzoom managed to get zero estimates, even though four different contractors came to review the project. It isn't a surprise; buildzoom never followed up with the contractors, even after I pestered them. The "Premium membership" cost me over $1000, which I consider to be money lost to a scam. They did some posing and posturing as if they were doing work, but they did no work and delivered nothing. Don't waste your time and money.
Hi Dean, I'm sorry to hear you had a poor experience with our Premium Service. If you would like to email us at customersupport@buildzoom.com with your full name and the email address associated with your account, I'd be happy to get you in contact with the appropriate manager to discuss the situation.
As soon as I said that I was not interested in paying them to 'project manage' my job for a fee... in addition to the money I would pay a general contractor... which I would think should be replaced by this so called project manager, they said they'd pass my info to some local contractors and quickly ended the call. That was about a week ago. Today I got an email saying that there was no one in the area that could help me. Yeah, since I wasn't giving THEM any money. I feel like this is a company who preys on people who don't have experience with contractors.
Hi Becky,
I'm sorry to hear that our team was unable to find any contractors on our platform who are interested in bidding out your project. I can assure you that your hesitation to use our premium service has nothing to do with this. In regards to fees, BuildZoom Premium does indeed have significant benefits for the clients who use it. In many cases the fees you pay are offset through avoiding change orders, ensuring the entire scope of your project is captured in a construction contract, price negotiation, and time saved throughout the pre-construction process as a whole. There are several other benefits as well. These are just some highlights.
If you would like, please email me at customersupport@buildzoom.com and provide me with the email address you used to sign up for your BuildZoom account, as well as your first and last name. I would like to take a look at your account to ensure that everything has been done to assist you.
Thank you for your feedback,
The BuildZom Team
After posting a negative review of an unscrupulous contractor, Ambient Construction, which I had the misfortune of dealing with, I received an email from BuildZoom that my review is too vague and they can't post it.
There is nothing "vague" about a contractor who uses unskilled labor, does shoddy work, refuses to accept responsibility for the mess they have created, and disappears.
Clearly, BuildZoom is not there to protect consumers. I would never trust a contractor recommended by BuildZoom.

This is a great platform to work with for contractors looking for projects, we have been working with them for some time now and are very happy
I did not know how to go about building our custom home. BuildZoom offered assistance and I had the worst imaginable experience that cost me a lot of time and money. If you are reading this please beware: BuildZoom is a total scam. They promised a lot delivered worse than nothing. I wasted tons of time and money and ended up where I started. They connected me with an architect that designed a very expensive house, twice over the budget that I planned for and almost twice the size I asked for. It took over a year to get this design from him which required tons of adjustments and the final one provided did not have all the necessary components, such as plumbing for example. Everything he designed was overly expensive and a lot of stuff was unnecessary and uncalled for. I got no help with selection of a contractor, and all contractors offered by BuildZoom were poorly qualified to build a custom home (specializing instead in solar panels, windows, improvements, etc.). Total nightmare, so I had to find my own contractor. When I complained, I was told that they will take care of it but never received a call back. Their employees come and go and the ones I dealt with were not paying attention to my project.
Hi Tanya, thank you for sharing your feedback.
I'm sorry to hear you had a poor experience. I understand you are already working with our Construction Engineering team's manager to sort through this situation. I have forwarded him this information in order to expedite an amicable resolution.

Answer: Hello William! It looks like there are a few Dalinghaus construction companies across the United States. What state and city were you looking to find Dalinghaus construction's score?
Answer: Not True...stay away from them. Check out the lawsuits and complaints about BZ. Sounds like a scam.
