Purchased a used class A, with 15,000 miles on it. Actually took possession when it had 17,000 miles after Camping World had driven it from California to Iowa. They convinced me we should purchase a $10,800 Good Sam extended service plan through them. The administrator of the plan is Assurant. After driving the RV 4,000 miles, we had a catastrophic engine failure (Ford Triton 6.8 liter V10) with a broken valve seal that destroyed the engine. $25,000 later, we have a new engine. The service plan administrator paid just under $20,000 leaving us with the balance of $5,000 because they didn't think the Ford Truck Center, had the right amount of labor. Our service contract says we have a contract max available of $25,000. Camping World's response, "gee, we're really sorry but too bad." This is the second motor home I've bought from Camping World and I will never darken their door again! If you do purchase from them, be very very careful. And think twice about the extended service plan. It's very expensive and poorly administered. Consider getting a plan from an outside company of your own choosing.
Did a poor job on the repair from their damage on this camper, you will see in images below, scraches that was on here from their lot... Then the repair... black ugly blop and lifted areas after their so called repair... This was bought brand new off their lot... They never fixed what they said they would on the walk-through. RV had to sit the winter now with nothing fixed. I only hope it won't have water damage when we see it. Once the sale was done everything they said they would do changed. Don't buy... If I could leave a 0 star I would...
Purchased a lacrosse travel trailer from camping world in Tyler I live in Houston county, they sent all paper work and tags to my address in Cricket but instead of Houston county sent it to Houston Texas, I have had the travel for over 2 years, have yet to receive any paper work for it, shortly after making this purchase hot water heater and slide outs quit working, contacted camping world and was told I would have to bring unit in, cannot even move unit due to slide outs not working and can not get registeration or plates for it as they were sent to Houston Texas to an address that does not exist, the only paper I received with the unit was in someone else's name

He is constantly smoking weed while on the clock & snorting methamphetamine. He is also having an affair with a co-worker. Every company I have worked for has it stated in the employee handbook that under NO circumstances is there ever to be any kind of relationship between 2 employees. Camping world finance manager in Albuquerque New Mexico will bait and switch you after you already agreed on the price. We agreed on the price and the payment only to get to the finance office and the terms and payments were hundreds of dollars more. They are the worst place to purchase RV.
Bought the good Sam package and they are supposed to check roof and seals and all that for five years and they don't do that. You specifically have to ask them to check for that stuff.
Then they take two or three times to fix something properly and tell u your camper is ready when u arrive it isn't done so u have to come back
Don't buy an rv here unless you have a good lawyer first. Crooks and lies, 3 years of my wasted time trying to get issues fixed that I was promised at point of sale would be fixed personally by camping world, if need be. Now saying things are not covered under my warranty after they pushed them out for years. Only things they have touched are now worse thanks alot. I know this company has taken the monopoly over all others but please find anywhere else to shop.
Because of this company's poor service and general neglect, the MH we purchased in 2022 has not been used for intended road trips. One part after another has been shoddy. Read other reviews, read complaints from so many dissatisfied customers. My POV is that we were cheated, mistreated, and now defeated.
My first big purchase of a newer camper 2021 cougar. Keystone. Asked me to keep an extra 5 days to go through it. Make sure everything was up to par... I would really have a page of Broken slash and on working stuff leaking ceiling leaking toilet. The hot water tank has an inch of cocking in the bottom. Looks like it was mirrored in with a putty knife. Do not buy a camper from these guys I wasted did 48 k. They offered to fix but I definitely don't want these morons working on it.
These guys and sister company RV'S.com are crooks. And I can prove it. They switch appliances and other things and RVs when you're not looking.
Wouldn't buy anything from here again if my life depended on it! They don't stand by their promises and their customer service is horrible! Pay 70,000 for an Ice Shack that is supposed to have a 5 year warranty and they will not stand by it! Nothing is covered! Miranda in customer service hangs up on you! When we bought our Ice House the person doing our walk through didn't even know anything about it and even broke a part on our air conditioner "trying" to show us how it worked! Management is not willing to help and never calls you back! It's a good thing Yetti stands by their work and values their customer they helped us fix/replace our parts with no charge when Canping World would not!
Bought a 2022 Grey Wolfe 18RRBL in June 2022 after a few trips the main panel showed 1/3-2/3 full after a few flushes or sinks full of dishes. Took it in under warranty Spartanburg SC CW they said they fixed it after having it for several weeks. Not fixed, and they awiing wouldnt go all the way back up. Took it in again had it for weeks. They dodged my phone calls refused to call back and after several weeks once i got it back again i went out on the road the probelm was not fixed and the awning lights stopped working. Now its beein in there for over a month again when i call they are always and i mean ALWAYS on the phone with another customer and will call back (NEVER ONCE) have they called back. You want to see real annoyance? Its when you show up after driving an hour to get there so you can find out what is going on and they cant ignore you. After it has been there for several weeks this time (now that it is out of warranty) im told they thought it was being traded in so they didnt do anything with it. This seems to be a national problem now i have to figure out what to do. HORRIBLE!
I'm not the type to wast my time writing reviews but I met a salesman today at camping world in Biloxi Mississippi that was top notch. His name was Zack Everhart. This guy walked me and my wife through multiple trailers and was extremely knowledgeable on the entire inventory and the multiple hitches associated with them. If you're looking for a new trailer give this guy a call you won't be disappointed. I'm not from Mississippi and was just trying to get some information on a camping trailer that would work well with my truck.
Camper has been here since Sep 29th (now Dec 4th). It was in for a few minor warrantee items - then I got a call that someone stole the generator (while on their lot!).
They said they have no responsibility even though it was on their lot, behind a locked gate and supposedly there are security cameras as well - yet MY insurance has to cover it.
Wonderful to deal with when you're going to buy something but when it needs repairs - be ready to be ignored. Purchased our travel trailer (brand new) in March and there are still things on it that don't work and there is no ETA as to when it will be fixed. I don't blame the service team (behind the desk) - they need to hire tech's bad!
I don't even know where to begin. It was the worst experience I've ever had I purchased a brand new Keystone cougar RV fifth wheel from camping world from start to finish. It has been the worst experience of my life. Their customer service is absolutely terrible and their dealership mechanics have no clue what they're doing. I've been dealing with this for over two years and cannot even get the person who's in charge of my case and customer service to call me back after four months. I would rather buy from a person off the side of the road than to ever deal with camping world again! I cannot stress enough how bad their customer service and their mechanics are at camping world. I have had mold in my RV being brand new and infestation of ants when it was delivered and also it being put on the wrong spot as I paid a $250 delivery fee.
I have a 2022 Heartland Prowler 303BH 35ft excellent condition used 7 times $16k that is a joke! On a trade in for a 2024 Destination trailer $73k that's what Wood Village in Oregon offered me. They didn't tell me the taxes when asked, they just how I was paying for it. I didnt even look at it or put in a offer yet.just left me hanging via email. Excuse we got busy watching football the day after Turkey day. Mathew and Dj worthless don't listen. I know rv companies have $5k to 10k wiggle room. You tell me who treats customers with suck disrespect on a trade in when your going to buy two rvs. Who buy two rvs at one time. Think of all that $$ they throw away. For just being last folks. Don't shop at wood village it's burning garbage
All I can advise to anyone contemplating to purchase from Camping World is DON'T DO IT! Their service department is a nightmare. They tell you is ready and when you arrive you find it is not or you had a butcher job done on your camper. No consideration whatsoever and they lack customer service skills.

Answer: Honestly, the more I look to find answers on Camping world, the more negative reviews I see, had an RV dropped off a Forklift while I was signing papers! Try to beat that! New RV and dropped off a forklift. Worse yet, the corporate managers DID NOT WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT, that folks is the legit truth! It's one thing for accidents to happen, it's another to not make things right, bad management!
