EWG's Skin Deep Reviews Summary

The company garners a positive reputation for providing comprehensive, research-based information about cosmetic products, empowering consumers to make informed choices. Customers appreciate the clarity and thoroughness of the content, particularly regarding ingredient safety and environmental impact. However, some users express frustration over the limited database of products, noting that not all items they seek are available. I'm perennially curious about what's in things and how they affect us so I can choose better products for myself and those I love. Been a huge fan of this website for yearsss. Makes it tough to find a good sunscreen, for instance, but knowledge is power!

I'm thoroughly delighted to find such thorough information at my fingertips! If you're concerned about the health, well-being and principles behind products, this is the the HUB where you should read up about cosmetic products before purchasing. Cosmeticsdatabase.com is part of the Environmental Working Group (EWG). Articles are based on scientific research, not mumbo-jumbo or hype about why you should buy this or that... if you really love research, check out the methodology section for graphs and math equations. I love the no-frills approach to details, especially about sunscreens and "designer fragrances". Enlightening. The small colored dots that rank sunscreens from safe to unsafe eliminates more than 1000 choices to a mere 100 or so, so as a wise consumer it can make choosing less daunting. Another perk of this website is that 8.5% of total purchase on Amazon will help support further research by EWR. Cosmetics research reflects a small segment of this organization's intention to enlighten others about our environment and each other within it. If you care about yourself, others and truly believe we can help make the world a better place, then you'll love this website.
