I personally haven't had too many issues. The only issues I've had are simple, video taking forever to do it's initial buffer but then it's fine. General slowness of site during heavy use times but nothing that can be easily fixed. Remember, this isn't a Netflix or Youtube so you can't be expecting the same level of service quality.

About this double charging issue that some people are yamering on about,
I would like to point out that most of the time it's caused by user error or latency problems between client and server and are not in fact intentional.

When it works, it works great. When it doesn't work... well, good luck. You're probably better of bittorrenting, to be perfectly honest. Don't give these people your money. Buggy site with terrible terrible terrible customer service after they eat your money and don't provide the service that you paid for.

This app is literally unusable for free users, in a small 20 minutes episode they shove you 6 ads, that's too much! It's impossible to keep interested in an episode when you're constantly being interrupted, and sometimes when the ad ends the episode doesn't resume in the right part, so I have to look for the right part, and guess what? When I finally do, I have to watch another 3 ads! That is unbelievable irritating... Plus, the 14 days free trial is a scam. They immediately ask for your bank account data so when the 14 days end they have the permission to go and grab your money even if you don't want to continue being premium. I really hate this crappie app, they are really greedy, just imagine the money they make for episode by forcing us to watch between 6 and 9 ads... I'm out. Never going to use this again.

So, they decide to make an app... a pay app... that has now been cancelled and they will no longer continue service on for certain Smart TV's. It was a poorly made app, but it made watching shows on your TV easy. Well, after getting some cash from that, they cancel the service and tell everyone "Sorry, but you can buy other devices that you can still watch our pay-service on!" Kinda like saying "Sorry I stole your money... wanna try again?" Not a great opening service.

I cancelled my monthly fee before the free trial was over. I now have a negative balance on my paypal account. I owe money to paypal now! Paypal gave me their customer phone number and I called. It does absolutely nothing! It just told me to go to their website. I don't even know my username or email for my crunchyroll account. I didn't use my account. It's not a FREE trial if I still get charged AFTER I stop my monthly fees.

Why the f&*$ are you asked to pay for a premium membership to watch anything from their service on an Xbox360 when it's free on a Roku? Miss the early days of the website when it was just free period, greedy companies & their BS like free airwave television doesn't exist.

This company took out money from my account fraudulantly. I emailed them several times that my credit card had been stolen but they refused to close the account. They not only kept the money that was used to obtain their site, they allowed the use of the account to continue enjoying it for 30 days after I notified them. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION, if they would not close this account when fraud was involved how do you think they would handle your account.

So after i sign in i immedialy try to cancel my account but this is not working at all. I freak out very badly. Make me soo angry. Beacause is my dad debit cards is not mines. Cant ues his... i think they try to take a money from us. well you will get my $#*!. I try to cancel this account within free trail is not working. I cant help it. Because you controlling it... if the free trail is over and start taking money from our bank. I will sue you. Hope this will go in crunchyroll company. Utterly horrible, there is absolutely no point to pay for a membership, let alone even use the website at all. Streaming is horrible, all the videos pause and stop buffering after about a minute unless I'm viewing in the default 360p resolution. Their business practice of billing people who canceled their free trial is absurd. Their customer support is no help, their phone number is nothing more than an automated voice message saying the equivalent of "$#*! you", and they have been having streaming issues for well over a year now and do nothing to fix it. Not sure how their website is still running after all this time.

The same anime that you find here AND MANY MORE can be found on Hulu Plus and Netflix. For those watching current anime, they can also still be watched on Hulu Plus or Netflix a few days later sometimes and for basically the same price. However, with Hulu Plus and Netflix you get so mush more and even more anime. So the value is very very low.

Issue 2: For some reason the playback quality is very low for this site versus Hulu Plus or Netflix. Not certain why. We are Time Warner customers so it may have something to do with their throttling of certain sites.

Issue 3) To use the free trials that they offer, you MUST provide payment information that will be charged if you are even one second late in canceling. This was not an issue for me since I wanted one more month. The issue was that I only wanted one more month for a specific reason.
My subscription was paid for and was due to expire on the 22nd of the month. I canceled on the 6th of the month since when I went to check on the ability to cancel, the page I was on stated that the subscription was not refundable but my already paid for subscription would run through the 22nd of the month - this is what was paid for and what I wanted. HOWEVER, they immediately canceled my subscription and we were not able to continue subscription level viewing through the 22nd as we were supposed to. The already paid subscription has not been refunded at this time either. We should have been able to watch through the paid for subscription as their website stated but we were not able to. This is fraud to me and disgusts me.

Billing issues aside... I still would not recommend anyone pay for this site. Most of the anime can be watched for free. Only the most recent episode must be viewed with a paid subscription, but if you can wait an extra day or two you can watch it on Hulu Plus or Netflix and get more value for the same dollars. Also, they constantly offer free trials over and over to those of us that have canceled so you can always just use the free trials.
