E*TRADE is scam!
I strongly recommend support (at) fast-recovery(.)io to Anyone who has been a victim of financial fraud. Your team were able to recover the stolen money for me, which I honestly thought was lost forever. The process was handled professionally and I was kept informed every step of the way. Worthless Support

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a brokerage. After weeks of incompetence, hours of calls they still end up transferring out thousands of dollars in shares they were not authorized to. Unbelievable the level of incompetence for a company managing so much money, scary.

FAKE COMPARISON

In order to defraud gullible individuals of their money and time, they imitate and replicate legitimate businesses and websites. Until your money is stolen, you might not even be aware that any of your investments have vanished.

Never working.

For random reason I can't login to the website... but can to the app.
The chat is unavailable on the app right now.
Impossible to email them without being connected
On document upload, PDFs are never recognized.
Avoid this website if possible and find another user friendly broker.

The back office has Brokerage Trust Form application all screwed up. But then do not have a means to talk to the person who provided asinine negatives about the data on the form. Maybe MS can fire the staff and add some quality people for the operation.

Goodbye E*Trade

Have been very happy with E*Trade for years. Since Morgan Stanley took over, customer service seems to have evaporated. Going back 2 weeks I've only received 3 of 12 dividend payments across all my accounts. Never had a missed payment in the past. Live chat tells me 1 to 10 days for payment to appear. When asked if I should expect this going forward, the reply I got was "Correct". Moving everything to Fidelity.

E Trades customer service was outstanding before Morgan Stanley merger went through. Now my card gets locked every other weekend. I have literally had to get a new debit card 5 times since this merger happened. I maintain a balance of 10k or more in my account at all times and rarely have access to my money on weekends. Switching brokerage accounts asap.

I need to recover my investments for emergency medical reasons and cannot get in touch via phone, emails, or chat to see what I need to do. After Morgan Stanley took over ETrade the phrase "customer service' has disappeared 100%! It seems like they intend to steal all my funds I invested with ETrade!

Worst customer service

This company has the absolute worst customer service i have ever experienced.
Getting a hold of them is just impossible.
Requested them to contact me:
- they sent a generic email from a noreply email adress that my case has been closed. Which case?
-called me and when i answered played an automatic tape telling me which number to call. When i didn't say anything, they just hung up.
- referred me to a live chat that has been inactive for months.
Great understanding of a 'customer service'!

Beware of Etrade

I have been trying to transfer my money from Etrade to the financial advisor handling my retirement account I have at BMO for at least 5 months. (Now that I'm retired, I've consolidated all my money to 1 account.) I've filled out the application they said was missing in June, 3 months ago. They are still "reviewing" my request. The SEC is now involved. They contacted them twice and still my transfer request is being denied.

I have filed a complaint with FINRA regarding the Sept 1 transfer of accounts from Etrade to Morgan Stanley as a result of the firms' failure to communicate effectively and in a timely manner, self-dealing, breach of fiduciary duty and unilateral investment in an unsuitable investment. Etrade did not inform investors who had cash balances in competitive money market funds (in my case yielding
Over 4.75%) the termination of the fund option and the sweeping of the balances into the Morgan Stanley Private Bank with a yield of 0.05%. I had two accounts with substantial cash balances generating over $1000 and $500 in monthly money market income. Frequently the larger account had cash balances in excess of the $250,000 of FDIC insurance!

I discovered this a week ago after seeing my money market fund liquidated as of the end of August.

If you are a current Etrade customer you should check how the "free" cash in your account is now being invested.

I have little expectations that FINRA will do much for the investors. The day after filing the compliant I received and email from FINRA indicated my concerns were being forwarded to "the firm to provide a response directly to you". Some much for and independent regulatory body. No wonder we have such a low trust in our institutions.

Beware.

Don't trust E TRADE
September 21, 2023

Sold the only stock that I purchased from ETRADE. Now ETRADE refuse to send me my money. They come up with a different excuse Everytime. Wanted copy of driver's license. I didn't like sending it over cyber space. They received it but now decided that wasn't good enough. They refuse to send my $2600 plus to me. ETRADE is a scam. Run far far away. Don't get taken like I was.

I personally will NEVER do business with E-trade again! It's funny because when I had hundreds of thousands of dollars in my portfolio I was the best thing since sliced bread. When I went to Las Vegas I prepaid foe my room on a third party website, when I checked out of the Venitian they charged me another $640 that I didn't authorize. I filed a claim with ETrade immediately. I was lied to multiple times, had my claim cancelled 60 days into it. ETrade decided that they filed the wrong type of dispute therefore I had to file a new claim and then they had the guts to tell me it could take up to 60-90 days longer. I was told by 1 rep that I needed to turn in my original receipt from the 3rd party company and after I turned it in then they could refund me the $640, that was a lie. On Sept 10th exactly 90 days after the first claim was filed they mailed me a letter advising me that they came to the conclusion that I authorized it, which I DID NOT approve. They said the merchant said I authorized it, again, I didn't. Although I am the customer and I had worked and fought for this adjustment they denied me. I always thought the customer was right, at least that is what I was taught and I have worked in customer service for over 30 years. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I TRUST E-TRADE WITH ANY INVESTMENT DOLLARS I HAVE. Now ir won't even let me upload the 2 receipts I have.

I've been a customer of Etrade since the late 1990's. After Morgan Stanley bought them and converted my accounts to their system they decided they no longer want my accounts. Told me today that they decided to close my accounts. I have just a few days to move my money or they will sell all assets and send me the balance after paying early withdrawal penalties and all the taxes. Lady was nasty on the phone and could not tell me why the choose to do this. I asked if it was a person or computer who decided to cancel me and she said they don't tell customers why they are no longer wanted. What a joke. I am leaving them and hope Morgan Stanley goes bankrupt. Or gets hit with malware.
