Online Ordering is Easy

I recently needed to update and upgrade some alpine ski boots. After searching for a while I found a boot with the perfect specs at EVO. They were easy to purchase and arrived just as promised. Because they are a high-end race boot they need some professional fitting. Living in NW Montana doesn't make it easy to get to a PNW store however. My choices are Seattle or Portland. Being able to schedule an online boot fitting has not proven to be as easy as the purchase.

Ignored in the Store

I bought a ski helmet online, it did not fit. I brought it back to the Denver store with the intention of buying something in store. I have never been in an evo store. I walked in with my big shipping box, walked to a "last chance" section that had some helmets, looked around there for about 5'minutes, then saw the wall of helmets across the store. There were plenty of employees clustered around the registers, talking to each other, that I walked past on my way to the helmets - still carrying my big box. I didn't feel comfortable interrupting any conversations. I couldn't figure out if the wall of helmets was the only inventory or if it was like a shoe store where you have to ask for your size so I went up to the registers to get help. Someone asked if I had a return, I said yes, they quickly pointed me to a register, the man at the register didn't ask me anything, he just opened the box, scanned the bar code, said "that's going back on your credit card", and went back to what he was doing. NO ONE GREETED ME OR ASKED ME IF I NEEDED HELP. At a bare minimum, you would think that a return would be the perfect opportunity to say, "Can we help you find something that works for you?". I bought a helmet elsewhere and am still a bit incensed about my experience at the store.

Warpig for the win!

I bought a Ride Warpig snowboard during the mid season sale. Evo shipped it out fast and was at my door in a few days just in time to try it that weekend. Awesome board and awesome shipping. I order most of my snowboarding gear from Evo and will continue to use them. Fast, reliable, and great inventory.

Easy and quick

Evo had more options than anywhere else, both in terms of brands and sizes. Prices were good, and shipping was super quick. The site is simple to navigate and the process was easy and very quick. I already have my boots professionally fitted and am looking for to taking them out in a couple days.

Updated snow gear

I've used Evo in the past and had a good experience. I had an issue, but it's been so long I don't remember exactly what the issue was, I'm just that I felt prioritized while it was very quickly resolved. Decided to update some equipment for skiing and snowboarding, so it was an easy choice for me to return. No issues, quick processing and shipping. I'm happy to have had another good experience.

Customer Service is missing

Of all the ski shops in Western Washington, Evo is the coolest but unfortunately their staff is too cool. They are stuffy, uninviting, and more consumed with chatting with their cliques than helping customers. It's become annoying to the point I don't think I'll come back.

Didn't arrive

I ordered goggle and they got shipped out then never arrived and when I looked they had gotten sent back to the facility. I then got an email saying they had arrived even though they were still at the facility and I got no refund.
