My 3 month old had reflux bad and was put on medication. The first two prescriptions we picked up at the pharmacy no issue then this last time we went to pick up we were told it wasn't covered and we need to do home delivery. I got the doctor to send in the prescription the same day 11/27/19 and here we are 12/5/19 still no medication delivered. I've contacted them 7 times since 11/27/19 before today the last 2 times I call I was told it would be expitited and 1 day delivery I called today and was told it's still in process and it would be shipped on the 16th. NOT ACCEPTABLE! After I told them they need to re check their notes they "seen I was told 1day delivery" and claim a message was put in to have it go out immediately. This is NOT fair to my baby who need relief why is it so hard to stick to your word and do your job?! (And no I can not get a smaller supply to hold him over till it comes his prescription is the smallest amount the medication comes on and they can not split up the bottle per Walgreens)
I'm forced to go to mail order due to retirement benefits or else I would go elsewhere. The prescriptions are sent after the original one runs out even though they received the order in plenty of time. I travel a lot and was told no problem they would send scripts to my location. When filling out form I completed the dates and address of where to send scripts and they still were sending it to my primary address. When I called they could not tell me when it would arrive at my alternate address thus I did not know whether I would still be there. It was a 16 day window. 90 days ago when I was trying to get a prescription filled I spoke with 3 different persons who gave me 3 different answers from the prescription had already shipped out to it wouldn't ship out for 2 more days. After being on the phone for over a couple hrs trying to track it down I demanded a supervisor who then was able to make it right, but that still put me with days of being out of my medication. Now here it is 90 days later and here we go again... I am not a person who writes reviews ever... but this is unacceptable.
My medication is on auto refill on a 90 day cycle. But it was arbitrarily changed to a120 day cycle. Calling them does no good. If a prescription is to be auto refilled every 90 days and the RX is current what is going on?
Calling in a prescription to this company is a ridiculous joke. You enter in all the information on the automated system, then repeat it three times to a pharmacy technician who still doesn't get it right, then a pharmacist. It should not take 45 minutes to get one patient refills. The customer service is terrible! Every time I have to call this company I get a headache thinking about it.
This in every way. I have never actually purchased from Express Scripts. I never set up an account and yet as the blue I received a collection letter for prescription that I have never used and they could not identify. I have never ordered from Express Scripts. My credit score fell 56 points and they were exactly zero help. I am on my own to Alert state federal agencies and contact credit bureaus. This isn't this is a truly horrible company full of terrible people.
If there is one thing I don't like about my job, it is that we are forced to use Express Scripts. I have medical issues that I am working through with my doctor that require medication management - meaning that I do not take the same thing in the same amount for 90 days at a time. However, Express Scripts demands that patients fill 90 days worth of medication at a time, regardless of their doctor's orders. I wanted to pick up a prescription from my pharmacy on Friday evening, and I was shocked to hear that I owed $178.70 for a prescription that was previously under $20. When I tried to call Express Scripts, I waited on hold for 10 minutes before the line was disconnected. Since the service over the phone was horrible, I tried the online chat and spoke to Shanika who informed me that my only options to get my prescription Friday night were to A) call customer service and request an override, B) pay the full out-of-pocket $178.70 for the medication, or C) talk to a pharmacist about possible side affects of not taking my medication until Monday when I could contact my doctor and request a 90 day prescription. Absolutely terrible customer service and no regard for the health of the patient.
I get Xarelto filled byb Express Scripts and they have shorted me 2-5 pills several times. I am tired of being ripped off by them. When you call them they don't care.
I called the pharmacy department on September 18,2019 to get information on the problem with Zantac that my son has to take 2 times a day. She kept telling me that there was no problem instead of telling me that their manufacturer was not the one affected; information I had to finally get from CVS pharmacy.
Placed an order for my fathers insulin 2 weeks prior to running out only to have them ship the insulin 3 weeks after the order was placed. We were told over the phone that they couldn't start processing the order until the day he ran out and that it took a week to process because "sometimes it takes longer and we should count yourself lucky it went this fast". Even after thw processing it took ANOTHER 2 weeks for the insulin to arrive. At this point the insulin was warm in the insulated container and I had to get a replacement at a local pharmacy. Of course Express Scripts fought this attempt. ZERO stars and an F BBB rating are exactly what this company deserve.
They don't cover some of what the physicians prescribe. Some of the co-pays are outrageous: $1,200/month. Others are as much or more than without insurance. Will be canceling asap.
Have used ExpressScripts for over a decade, but am currently between full-time jobs and healthcare plans. I tried to refill a prescription and pay for it 100% out-of-pocket and they said they can no longer fill my prescriptions since I no longer have healthcare. How is this something that happens in 2019?
Yikes!
On two different occasions, I've tried to fill an expensive medication. The first time I called 4 times and got 4 different prices. The second time I called 6 times.
They process orders and send things without confirming we need them, then send a bill. There is NO way to prevent them from doing this apparently.
Customer service is often clueless or slow.
They have screwed up our orders on multiple occasions.
There are some very serious issues with this company - I suspect their tech systems are ultimately at fault based on the issues. This is the single worst pharmacy insurance I've ever dealt with.
They never get the medication out before you run out. You have to call them multiple times to make sure they send it. Always at least one to two weeks late, their answer is it is being processed. If you have an option work with a different pharmacy.
I just called Express Scripts Customer Service today because they shipped me a medication that I do not take. They refused to take the charge off of my account. I called my doctor's office and they told me they did not place the order. The persons working at CS and the Supervisor are very stubborn and UNhelpfull. Refuse to help = NO customer service. I'm annoyed with Express Scripts.
... to expand on my pevous review this company has an F rating on BBB. They did not mail my medication for more than a month. Blamed me for not calling earlier and my Doctor for submitting the claim incorrectly he had sent it in perfectly. I was forced to use old and expired medication and then they refused to mail mine out until I paid a $10- balance overphone by credit card! I told them I only pay them by check as their are numerous complaints of unauthorized transactions by them. Nope, I had to pay or no medication. F rating you earned it!
They have arbrarily decided that a prescribed medication I 've been on, for decades, now needs "prior authorization".
They can think of different reason to delay covering a prescription, and seem determined to waste the time of their clients and their clients' physicians with pointless demands of "have your doctor contact us, etc."
I don't know of they are farming out the handling of their customer service line to Mexico, but a translator would be helpful if you know anyone who speaks Spanish.
So that's ( language) one barrier. The pharmacists seem to understand why a particular medication is indicated, but they may or may not have accurate records of medicines they themselves previously filled.
Accredo appears to be have authority over what a pharmacist can or can't fill. They are worthless in all respects except their speciality of wasting people's time.
It's difficult to tell is the people at Express Scripts are stupid, incompetent, or both.
Express scripts fills generic prescriptions from Manufacturers (mostly from India and China) who received violations warning letters from the FDA. The one company they used to fill my generic Lipitor RX is Apotex.
Research it and you'll see Apotex Group's Indian manufacturing company, Apotex Research, picked up a warning letter from the Food and Drug Administration following an inspection last November that revealed a number of significant violations of current good manufacturing practices (cGMP). The company has been on import alert since April 2018. Always check to see who manufacturers you medicine.
They don't cover anything. I literally use a prescription card I got in the mail instead. One medication was 120 with Express garbage and the free prescription card I got in the mail cut the price down to 30. So in short, your better off without Express script.
Hello to anyone out there do whatever you can not to use Express Scripts for you or your children's medicine. They have terrible service and will not work with you to resolve the issue.
I would like to say thank you to the young man I spoke to this afternoon. He was able to resolve an issue that no one else could figure out for weeks. This young man is a true asset to your company. Debbi K
Answer: Easy to get hold of, but a total waste of time, they will just give you their preprogrammed script and not listen to a word you say.
Answer: It's a legit company with the worlds worst service
Answer: No. And since hell would have to freeze over before I ever actually do purchase anything from Express Scripts I want to have a success story.
Answer: I pay a monthly charge which is part of my Medicare Supplement Insurance. The total premium is $439 a month but it also covers other charges Medicare does not. Then for each drug Express Scripts charges a maximum of $20 for 90 pills if generics are used. Non generics depend on the medicine; they can be much more expensive.
Answer: I had no choice, it is the only option through my employer.
