No human contact but the site was easy to use, the spare part shipped the following day, and best of all it worked.
This is my second encounter with this company. The first was when I was trying to find an in-line whole house cartridge for my house. The quote from them was about $100 cheaper than buying locally and the product was received timely. The second time was this week when I ran out of filter cartridges--again no one in town had any. I called them, they gave me advice including discussion about using a pre-filter to help from overloading my cartridges and I received my order the next day. Friendly folks from whom I will continue to buy.
My order was handled with patience, effieciency and I received correct information about the product being ordered. Also, I appreciate being able to communicate effectively.

After purchasing a water filter this morning, the site asked me to take two separate surveys, and I have also been contacted by a google service and this "site jabber" service to review/ verify the freshwater systems site. It's a bit weird. I just wanted a water filter. I think someone at fresh water systems has gone a bit overboard on the user feedback services.

I ordered a TAC descaler. They sent me the wrong couplers (3/4 instead of 1") with no packing slip or instructions. The template was in a plastic bag tied with a knot. I complained and asked for my money back and they refused. I also asked for them to send me the instructions. I never heard back from them.
After numerous contacts, this company refuses to send me the return information for a $200+ order for filters that do not fit my refrigerator. I should have read the reviews first. Second, I should have double-checked the kind of filter that I needed. Third, I hope that anyone who reads this will refuse to order from this company. Dianne Mapp
The first item I order arrived broken, the second item I ordered arrived incomplete with parts missing. When the missing part arrived and I Tried the uv light system for the first time I noticed the item was defective and leaked. After contacting FreshWaterSystem they told me to deal with the manufacture and they could not help me. I contacted an attorney, then had a certified letter mailed to them requesting a product that was not defective. Only then were they willing to help me fix the problem they created. Horrible Company - Worst Customer Service experience in years. Ordering over the weekend when no live people were available the website had limitations on entering a hybrid address - both physical address and PO Box combined. The result was a return shipment that Traci the supervisor told me was all my fault. Unwilling to spend the $5 to ship it back to me and losing over a $200 sale. Told my wife on a follow up call that "... we are not Amazon, go buy it from them..." GOOD ADVICE
False claims of compatibility between replacement filters and the original. Customer service who consistently treated me as if I was trying to cheat them.
All I ended up with after working with them was frustration and piles of shipping costs, but somehow never my reimbursement!

I bought a $200 gravity-fed filter system from F. W. S. Over 2 months ago. My primary reason for filtering my tap water was to remove the fluoride for my 10 year old daughter.
Their website claims that the system I bought filters 12 gallons per day-More than enough for 5 family members. Of course I purchased the fluoride filters as well.
The filter worked well until I installed the fluoride filters. After they were on the unit only filtered about 3 quarts per day- sixteen times LESS than advertised. A company rep told me to remove the filters and shake them. I did, twice, and the filter rate did not improve.
Evidently the rep I spoke with left the company. Two unreturned phone messages and 3 weeks later I called customer service again. After a 10+ minute wait I spoke with a service rep and her manager.
The manager said the unit was working properly and simply wasn't suited to my needs. She said I should keep it and also buy an R. O. system from them.
This filter system (an AquaCera SS-4) isn't suited to anyone's needs! Unless they weigh less than 180 pounds and never sweat!
I have never received such bad customer service, but shouldn't be surprised. If they are misleading customers as to the performance of their products their managers are used to telling duped customers to go-pound-sand all day long.
NO-ONE should EVER buy from this company. I'm stuck with a $200 stainless steel bucket and they refuse to do anything to make things right.
Customer service makes or breaks a company, and this company needs to be broken.
I ordered a set of RO replacement filters. One of them was the wrong kind -- the fittings didn't match up. Both the RO system's manufacturer and freshwatersystems.com's website image showed the correct filter. Their customer service solution is for me to buy (from them) adapters to make the filter work. Blame the customer for your screw-ups!
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS OUTFIT! I made the mistake of following a link to their site from Amazon.com.
I ordered a Waterstone faucet from Freshwater Systems, which stated on their Web site, would ship in 3-4 weeks. EIGHT weeks later, after numerous emails (some never responded to), calls and live chats, lies and stringing along, I was told it would be another 3-4 weeks for the faucet to arrive. At this point an entire kitchen renovation was 99% complete and at a halt because of this faucet. I cancelled the order by phone but received no confirmation nor refund ($867), despite numerous requests by emails(unanswered) and phone. I was also told I could not return the filtered water faucet I had purchased to match this faucet ($300+). This is one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with.
