Over the holiday I wanted to buy an Xbox One for my son so I jumped on line to order with Game Stop as I could get a bundle that included counsel, Assassin Creed and $50.00 card for total of $350.00 (not a bad deal). Moved bundle to my shopping cart; made payment and figured all was OK. Later that night I decide to check my e-mail only to find that GS canceled order. As time is running out on this deal I call GS and find out why order was cancelled. No good reason found/provided so order was taken a 2nd time on the phone with new order number. Check my messages the next day only to find that this order as well has been cancelled. I call GS and speak with another rep. And was told a 2nd time there was no good reason for order not being completed. I ask if they can honor the sale price (prom. Has now ended) and was told no; if I wanted this bundle it would cost $399.99; smells like a bate and switch. Needless to say I will never buy or recommend Game Stop products and services.
I was using this service for one and half years and they are giving good service in this gaming area. They are providing more games for very affordable price. Even they give offers for their customers and therefore it is very happy to use. This is a great website for games.
Hello guys I found an awesome new place to buy games.
They sell games for very cheap prices than in the market price and they will provide the keys instantly.
I regularly buy games here. Check out the prices: bit.ly/1pOzBBI
I will be honest, I have no clue what kids see in these video games! But, I am a sucker for my grandson who loves them. I wanted to get him something special for his birthday. The gentlemen at this location were very friendly and patient with me.
I called to ask a question about a ongoing promotion to the lake zurich, illinois location and was rudely answered by a know-it-all-I-don't-have-time-for-you employee. Needless to say, they won't be getting my business. I was highly disappointed and considered chewing out the employee on the spot for his curt answers and terrible attitude.
Gamestop, WHere you can buy, sell, and trade console games. These guys have a lot of the market nailed down in my area. They get exclusive pre-order items, Day of release parties and they have just about anything you could ask for as a console gamer.
Over on the PC end of things they are phasing out the service. Sad but true.Of course that only applies to thier storefronts. The bulk of it seems to be done online now. They have gotten into the digital distrubution game now.
I have had a few bad experiences with them though, Inability to modify pre-orders from normal to collector editions, and midnight releases closing before the time I was told. But overall I have had fairly good dealings with gamestop.
Digital Downloads take FOREVER. Read all the reviews about PSN cards and Xbox cards. Gamestop doesn't send you the redemption code in a timely manner and they fail to warn the consumer of any wait time. Some people have waited days, and still nothing. I will never support a company like this, my business is gone forever.
I hate game stop. My brother is the manager at one here, and even he hates them. You buy a $60 game, take it back same day cause it sucks, unlike what the guy behind the counter said. "Best game ever" etc. and they're like we'll give you $9 in gamestop credit for it.
Excuse me? I wan't to get a REFUND not sell this game. RE FUND!
Screw game stop, take your business else ware.
Good website. Ordered ~30 games on it. Never had any problems and have used it for about 3 years now. Make sure to put in your savings card number if you have one. Also they put out discount codes about every 2 weeks. I also really like the hold at store option. It allows you to hold a certain game at the store or it's nice just to see if the store close to you has it in stock so you can just go down the street and get it without having to look around to see if they have it in. Their used games are higher than the average store but the buy 2 get 1 free promotion every once in awhile is very nice.
I went to Gamestop.com to pre-order the Duke Nukem Forever, Balls Of Steel special edition. This was to be a birthday present for my husband who has waited 14 years for this game. They had my credit card details. I went to check just before shipment was due & they had canceled my order without contacting me. I emailed them, to be told several different versions of why the order had ben canceled. They said they'd emailed me about verifying payment. I never received the email even though I got plenty of their newsletter emails and the order confirmation. They maintained that this was because their payment verification email came from a different address. In the end they refused to honour my pre-order and offered me $10 off any future orders. Needless to say, I won't be purchasing anything from them ever! So hubby is now getting an ordinary version of the game from a local supplier since the special version has sold out. Gamestop have proven themselves to be unreliable and untrustworthy to me, so please be warned!
No problems, been buying from them for years. Shipping is fast. No tricks, or hidden charges.
Gamestop was always the go-to place for things related to my ex-boyfriend's Nintendo collection. The selection of games for the DS is wide, and the experience is pretty hassle free. I use this place also when I need to get things for nephews or friends' children.
