I booked an activity on GetYourGuide which was clearly listed as "pantheon audio tour with fast track ticket". However in the fine print in the "add to cart" area, it said "without entry ticket" so essentially I was buying the rental of an audio headset but could not enter the Pantheon. This was despite the giant title which said "WITH FAST TRACK TICKET". GetYourGuide was nice about it but would not stand up to the deceitful listing. Essentially they are only a middleman and do not offer the sort of guarantee you'd expect from Expedia or TripAdvisor other reputable companies."

We booked a couple of months ago to go on a tour of the Alhambra palace. This is our second year to try and get to see it and we were travelling to Spain just to see this in Granada. The booking was successful and the payment was successful for two days ago your company Contacted one of us and said that they're cancelling the booking.
May I remind you of the time of booking when we paid you for this booking we entered into a legal contract that is binding within the European Union, and no by cancelling our booking for whatever reason you're in breach of contract. I would make sure never to use this company again as they have no cost to us;

C transport to and from the airport.
All the company offered us was an audio trip of a place that we can't get into.
The problem with this cancellation is, I can never trust your company again to book us into a tourist facility because I don't know when or where you would cancel it.
This is appalling customer service and as it comes at a time when it's not even on peak season so I am deeply suspicious about the reasons this was cancelled.

We have make a tour from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. Our tour guide Fesal a perfect guide we give him a 10. He's a great person and helpfull. He's for us the perfect guide. He nows a lot and he holds the group together in a peaceful way.
This company cares about profits first and people second - be careful with them. We were five minutes late for a skip the line tour of the Louvre in Paris. We found our guide and tried to join the tour. We were advised we could not join because we didn't have tickets. All we had were vouchers. My inference is that they actually sold the spots to others who had waited on standby. I wrote them after requesting a refund and they pointed to the fine print that you have to arrive early. What frustrates me is that I think they must have actually resold our tickets - otherwise I don't understand why we weren't allowed to join the tour. Suggest you proceed with caution before scheduling tours with this company!

Booked for a local tour in Cape Town as a RSA resident and got phoned to say i booked as an international traveller and paid three times the price. The rest of our group got the same call, there was no option on the booking so they just scamming people.

Nur per Chat erreichbar und Verweis auf den Anbieter, welcher ebenso nicht erreichbar war. Da kann man lieber den Ausflug direkt vor Ort buchen und sich die Provision sparen, die dann den Leuten vor Ort zu Gute kommen. Nicht zu empfehlen!
The London based Churchill Warroom museum experience is wonderful but PLEASE NOTE….only book your tickets directly from the museum website and NOT thru a third party guide service….especially the GetYourGuide organization! We did and we are hurting for it! Above and beyond being overly rigid there's absolutely no value added as the museum visit is a self guided tour with audio and does NOT need a guide. Th
GetYourGuide is only a rigid money-grab option for the unwary.
Our London Underground train had issues and delayed our arrival at the prescribed meeting point by 5 minutes. I used the mandatory GetYourGuide app to communicate in advance that we would be delayed by 5 minutes (email and chat service) in order to provide confirmation that we were on our way and definitely going to arrive. The email response I received immediately indicated that 'high volumes' would cause up to a 48 hr delay in responding. Then I used the online automated chat service which was obviously not a real person….by the time I got through to a real attendant it was after the meeting time and here's where it gets even more awful. GetYourGuide has a policy that if you are late you may miss your scheduled visit slot….and you have to rebook another time. Despite making concerted efforts to communicate in advance….the attendant was:
A). Unwilling to contact the guide to coordinate a new meeting place (or couldn't because it's a outsourced support service)
B) unwilling to rebook our visit
C) unwilling to provide a refund….and was rigid/inflexible in enforcing a policy that could easily have been managed more flexibly
Simply put….GetYourGuide offers a needless and expensive service that amounts to a money grab. They outsource to independent guides and support services that leave the customer without any direct means of recourse or opportunity to find workable solutions.
In the end we went directly to the museum, stood in line and bought duplicate tickets for 1/3 of the price we had paid to GetYourGuide
Great museum tour but terrible experience with GetYourGuide. We learned a lesson with this one!
1. Inexcusably long hold times for online chat support (see photo—not sure if support ever answered)
2. Phone support is outsourced, and email follow ups are not always sent when there is an issue
3. GYG usually does not have actual relationships with the provider companies and cannot get in touch with them in a timely fashion despite bookings being time-sensitive—in other words, if something goes awry, they are unreliable when it comes to assistance. They will state that they are sending an email to the provider, but you will likely have to keep calling for updates. The time to get a substantive response to sent emails is very poor.
4. Will state that provider will not refund if you miss receiving a service, but neither will GYG refund or give you credit for their additional booking costs (sometimes as high as 40 Euros)
5. Most importantly—use GYG to look up providers and contact the providers directly to avoid the GYG extra fees and/or schedule change headaches

車内は飲食禁止となっていたが、途中のトイレ休憩で寄ったドライブインで、買って食べる時間が欲しかった。コーヒーを買って飲む事は出来て、プライベートだから食べることも出来たと思うが、食事が夕食になるとは思っていなかったため、何も食べずに行ってしまった。
英語が上手くないため、コミュニケーション不足だったのかもしれないが、最初に一日の予定と時間を教えてくれたらスムーズだったと思う。

I purchased tickets in advance for the Pantheon, the Colosseum, and the Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel before our trip to Rome. I did not compare prices with others, but used GetYourGuide on the advice of someone who had traveled to Rome a few months prior to us. The recommendation was specifically due to the visibility and ease of GetYourGuide at the Vatican Museum. The skip the line tickets for the Vatican Museum are a MUST. Overall I did not have any issues with GetYourGuide and the app was very easy to use. I will definitely use GetYourGuide in the future.

I bought my tickets to the coliseum way in advance and days before my trip they canceled my reservation. After I had already been charged. They do this so that at the last minute we pay more. Horrible. NO integrity.
App was fantastic, kept all bookings in the app wallet and attached reminders to personal calender. Highly recommend.
Awful customer experience on multiple occasions. They refuse to let you speak to a supervisor. An associate named Jheil was yelling so aggressively at my friend that i could hear him from where i was sitting across the room through her cell phone. The boating company we actually went on was fabulous and personally reached out to Get Your Guide and said they approved a cancellation b/c we wanted to switch tours. The boating company charged our card b/c they dont have the payment information from Get Your Guide and Get Your Guide refused to talk to us or work with us in an professional manor. The boating company that pays Get Your Guide has now requested 3 times for us to get a refund as we have now been charged multiple times. Never book through this company or use them as they are 3rd party and have no regard for the actual guests or clientele. We are very close to reporting this company for fraudulent charges.
No matter what - NEVER book through this company. Go direct through whatever touring company or activity you want to participate in.
