I had to cancel my trip because my wife misplaced her passport. How could I go on a trip when my wife cannot locate her passport in Portugal. I emailed as soon as I could locate a contact email address to let them know to cancel. It was so stress full even to find an email address at the moment. They told me that it is within 24 hrs. So cannot get any refund. I told them that this is an emergency so at least refund 50%.
When we locate the passport we all went on a trip the following day purchased from GetYourGuide. I did not even think that GetYourGuide is a company that will not at least think about their customers.
I am considering filing a claim to the BBB.
The website is easy to navigate. We booked tickets for Teamlab in Tokyo, the transaction was easy and with no problems.

Hallo, wir haben fast alle Aktivitäten über Getyourguide gebucht und jedes Mal gab es Probleme mit der Abfahrzeit. Wir bekommen die Info 7h am Morgen und dann ist Abfahrt 7.55h, eine andere Tour sagt 8h am Morgen und dann stellt sich raus erst um 9h und die Tour gibt es so nicht und es ist eine andere Tour. Ich habe in Europa keine Probleme mit Getyourguide gehabt aber in den USA würde ich sie niemanden empfehlen! Der Kundenservice hilft leider auch nicht! Katastrophe
DO NOT ignore the reviews & book through this company! I paid $120 for a guided tour of the Louvre in Paris & got there at the 2pm meeting time on the reservation. I saw the group, however turned for a moment & they had disappeared. (Note: I was unable to get there 15 minutes earlier, as my taxi was delayed (this was out of my control). I made numerous attempts to contact the company in advance, however their phone was disconnected & nobody could get back to me, let alone email me my real ticket (the ticket through the app is invalid). When the company finally got back to me, they said they wouldn't issue me a refund. This is really unprofessional, considering there is such a competitive market for tour companies. I then had to purchase a new ticket at the Louvre after staff at the admissions desk were extremely rude & unhelpful.
The work with your aplication is so plesant, I am so gratefull that I can order the tickets for the places I wanted to visit and see.

Avoid making bookings through GetYourGuide, because if something goes wrong and you need to contact the actual service provider, they won't be able to help. GYG provides wrong contact numbers and when you use $#*! they don't resolve it and always return the blame to the user.
I booked a visit and had an unforeseen event 30 minutes before the start I tried to contact them by all means, including GYG's $#*! and nothing. I couldn't go on the tour, and I could have done it, it was on foot. Now the GYG $#*! informs me that I should have cancelled 24 hours before, as if I had known then that I was going to have an unforeseen event 30 minutes before, it would have been enough to make a functional telephone contact directly to the provider and everything would have been resolved.
Incompetent.

I can't speak to their guides or tours, but I can attest to how poorly executed their customer service is. I booked a reservation. I never received a confirmation due to an issue with my email address. I kept reaching it out multiple times to get confirmation on my reservations to no avail. Finally, I booked a new reservation thinking that the previous wasn't booked. Weeks later someone finally reached out to me and confirmed the 1st reservation. I explained I only needed one reservation. They cancelled the 1st one, confirmed that I had one more reservation but the price went up by $90. The 2nd reservation was for the same day, time and number of people as the 1st reservation, but they refused to honor the original price even though it's the lack of their response that caused it. This level of service is not acceptable in the US.I kept going back and forth with them, asked to speak to a manager and they wouldn't let me. DON'T BOOK WITH THEM
Do not book with this company, we booked a tour and were not notified through email or text that our tour time was no longer available and that we would have to wait 2 hours for the next one. Why sell a tour that you have no availability for? Management is ridiculous, we asked to be prioritised for any free spots for the next tour and instead they had put 2 other people (who had not booked anything) on the next tour before us.
We have purchased a 2 hour brunch boat cruise, for Sunday August 20,2023 when it was automatically cancelled by Toronto Harbour Tours, without any proper explanation, and without notifying us of this dirty stunt they have pulled. My experience with Toronto Habour Tour lead issues with reacial profiling. I strongly avoid Toronto Harbour Tour it`s not worth the paper it`s printed on
I am very honest and I'm very easy going and don't like to complain but heck this company ruined my day trip! Myself and my bf arrived at the wrong meeting point. We were 15 mins late but while walking to the right meeting point I tried calling the number provided which didn't seem to answer. I paid 78 euro for 2 tickets and we didn't receive them. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT REFUND YOU! BE CAREFUL! I have booked through websites before when abroad but honestly no tickets in and no refund. I found the "help" number did not help nor did they answer on time. You will be left waiting. Please be careful I feel as I got proper scammed with this company. Had an awful experience and if I am traveling again it will be local for tours as this is not guaranteed or NOT REFUNDABLE! AVOID! I hope this helps someone and I wish I had read reviews before wasting 78 euro and no refund is provided whatsoever and there email back was basically its your fault for being at the wrong meeting point even though it was a genuine mistake and they also said they have a blue flag. Incorrect they had an orange umbrella! So yes highly disappointed and if I could give it zero stars I would just because they ruined our day trip I'm Rome!
Beware if you are using them on tours from a Cruise ship. Our ship was delayed 30 min in the Athens harbor. We were on a small group tour with 10 people in our group. We called immediately that we were 30 min behind schedule and told the guide would not wait since there were 4 others in the group. We were told to go in the Acropolis and "look for her". There are approx 15-20 thousand people in there that day...there was NO way to look for her. We never found the guide. We were told that we were only entitled to a refund if we cancelled 24 hrs ahead...of course that is impossible when you don't know you will be 30 min late! DO NOT USE THEM IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE YOU WILL BE LATE OR NEED TO CHANGE THE PLAN. They also allow the individual vendor to dictate the cancellation policy rather than a company policy that vendors need to adhere.
Booked an excursion in London. 46 hours before excursion, received an email from rail of strike action for that day, so no means to get to London. Notified getmyguide straight away. They would not budge. Yes, we were 2 hours shy of the 48 hours required, but it was not in our control. Another company who was non-refundable refunded. The actual tour operator, City Experiences, indicated that if we'd have booked directly, they could have helped, passing the buck to getyourguide. Getyourguide said the it was the tour company. So everyone was paid for zero services rendered.and the only unhappy ones were us, the customers. Do yourself a favour, stay away…book directly with tour operator or with Viator (have used many times).
