I was supposed to get a free box but $60 later, it's definately not free. I couldn't see what they were offering until after I put in my credit card and then I immediately cancelled because it wasn't things we'd eat. I still was charged and they refused to refund it saying it was already processed and that all future orders would be.
Received my first box it was warm, can't even tell you if it was good. So I cancelled the subscription, but guess what they processed a payment and sent out another box anyways. Customer service said there wasn't anything they could do that I needed to cancel 5 days before delivery It was a reminder to me if you get a trial order delete your payment info immediately afterwards and or cancel immediately so these sly companies don't get your money. In conclusion I paid for a warm box of food without my consent and they are like oh well your problem
I was offered a promotion to try hello fresh at 36$ a week for 3 meals with 2 portions each. What I received was the smallest portions of food imaginable- it honestly reminded me of the easy bake oven recipes from fisher price but meals instead of dessert. I made my first meal- it took far longer than the 25 minute estimated time on the recipe card- and woke up the next with the most violent case of food poisoning. I'm so upset as I don't want to throw away the remaining food but the level of discomfort, illness and anxiety I'm experiencing from the first meal even days later is not worth the risk. Save your stomach, energy and money! Buying a bag of groceries and making a simple recipe that provides some leftovers is so much better than risking any of this nonsense.
Received two meals for 54. Vegetable was spoiled. Over priced. No free meals. No discount. Charged for shipping. Go out to eat. Get fresh food. Packed on the 4th. Shipped on the 18th..
Not going to go through the whole story only that they charged my credit card without my authorization. Stay away
I received a marketing flyer from your company stating we could sign up for 17 free meals and feee shipping and free tote... ( code RH - LESGW)... but after talking to your rep and online... we are told they are not free and we are being charged for all the meals ( we would get a % off each shipment) equaling approximately $30 or more... The Hello Fresh customer rep said that is "just the way it is- and that is the way the promotion works". He said he couldn't do anything about it and it was a marketing promo to get people to sign up... I asked for a manager ( and I was very calm and not rude to him - cause I know - he didn't make up the promo) but he said he couldn't transfer me or send a message to management - because I didn't have an account number to reference... I told him I was attempting to become a new customer- but he said it didn't matter... I asked for a call back - he finally said he would take me email address and then before I could give it to him he hung up...
All this to say Hello Fresh is a scam and this is a clear case of "bait and switch" marketing... which I will be filing a grievance with the BBB
Signed up for my account and asked for my card info, i entered apple pay just so i could view the menu and all of a sudden i have an order date a payment scheduled and NO ADDRESS GIVEN TO THEM. Goodluck getting my payment HelloFresh! If i cant cancel a card payment, i'll freeze my card! GFFB
I signed up, got one box, trying to eat just plant based foods so the meals were good options, picked out my next recipes for the second box, was waiting for it this past Saturday, never came so i went online and my subscription was cancelled, i did not do this so I called and the girl was not hearing me. I also received an email saying that Hellofresh was attempting to charge my card over $800, I declined the charge. Customer Service could have cared less and now that my account was cancelled, if I reactivate i lose the discount I originally signed up for. Horrible way to do business.
When I saw the total amount of my first order $252 --- I cancelled immed and receive a confirmation email. Done? Nope, received first shipment this morning! I had already paid some time back so I accepted it as a bad decision and once done, no repeat. My garage door broke anyway so I was beyond fighting. Well, see what is inside a box and give them a chance. It was. VERY HEAVY and some packaging giving away as it was on the porch for a long time! Wonderful health benefit NOT. So I saved some of it and am junking the rest, confirmed account closed and as such I cannot enter more orders so I shall not receive more shipments. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Charged after canceling. Refused refund because it's subscribed once. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Totally bad experience, charged me even didn't selected and submitted ingredients and I am vegetarian.
Be aware
Buy from local stores is better
Hello fresh-Scammers, please stay away, Regrettable mistake

The ground beef is equivalent to the ground beef that you purchase from meijer in a prepackaged tube. It says 85/15 but it's probably 60/40 disgusting in my opinion. Another meal I purchased came with sirloin steak. I understand that's a cheap cut of meat to begin with. It was so chewy almost not edible. I forgot to mention if you scan the bar code thing with your smart phone I learned that the ground beef has been frozen for almost a year.&
I will start off by saying I can in some ways appreciate what HelloFresh is striving for but in many ways, I think they're doing it wrong. I'll explain.
HelloFresh is essentially an online shopping market that allows you to order so many meals per week that they tout as 'home-cooked' and 'cheaper than eating out.' There's no debate that the meals are home-cooked since despite them sending you the ingredients yu must cook them yourself, but I have a lot of speculation that it's cheaper than eating out. It may depend on the person and their budget, though.
Moving on, each meal weighs in at around 1000 or more calories. Most are not keto-friendly and if you're seriously too lazy to go shopping or prepare your own food yourself, I doubt you'll bat much of an eye at that fact, but if the average person eats 3 to 5 times a day and your entire diet consists of high calorie and high carb food, well, I hope you have good life or health insurance.
Personally, I don't think HelloFresh is what's cracked up to be. I can eat much cheaper and healthier by just buying my own food and preparing it. Does it take longer? Sure, but at least I know I'll be able to see my ankles when I'm 50.
But as with those people that like to choke themselves for a good time, to each their own!
I was sent a free box to which i had to pay delivery. They then used my account details to take further payments. I called to put a stop to this to which inwas told i should have read the terms and conditions and its too late. All the meals i was sent were ot requested as i wasn't aware i signed up to a weekly subscription so i didn't like anything so all got chucked in the bin. When i asked to speak to a manager the phone was put down on me. Disgusting servive NEVER USE ITS A SCAM
They lure you into trying their food for free. Of course you have to give them your CC. I did not love the food, so I tried to CANCEL the subscription but they ignored me and charged me for the next 2 orders ($75/ x 2) when I emailed them they only credited me for one order and ignored my emails afterwards. So I called a week later, and they said they could not return the money cause they keep records for a very short period of time! Ridiculous. Try another company! NOT HELLO FRESH,
I signed up to Hello Fresh because they offered a voucher for money off. The voucher didn't work and I had entered all of my details before I realised it just wouldn't work for me. Hello Fresh immediately took £46.+ from my PayPal account at 3.03 on 8 July. I cancelled the deal less than 10 minutes later. Due to the weekend I assumed they would refund me today but seeing they hadn't I contacted them by phone (which actually is the only way to get through at your own expense). I spent 30 minutes with a perfectly nice agent who kept spouting the party line. 'You must cancel within 5 days. Your order is due on 12 July'. I've no idea what I ordered. I don't recall choosing anything and I don't want anything. Asked to speak to a manager. Told the agent would have to submit a report but that the manager would only reiterate what he had said, I told him that I
Would decide whether or not I needed to speak to someone in higher authority not him. I waited a further 5 minutes for him to fill in a form. Still waiting a call back from a manager - what a surprise. This is an intentionally complicated service to cause you to spend your hard earned money on something that they seems to have difficulty selling. One would assume that if you cancel your application that would be the end of your dealings with these sharks. Apparently you have to cancel the order separately but it doesn't state this on any of their useless information. BEWARE! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
Limited carb friendly choices. One week they only had one item and another week only two. The choices they do have push the upper limits of what a diabetic should typically consume each meal. If you have food allergies beware as well. It takes a bit of time to read through the ingredient lists.
I signed up for the veterans program. The offer was "up to 55% off your next 52 deliveries (plus free shipping)" that's a direct quote from their web page. They would not honor the free shipping after the first delivery. I cancelled the program. I don't like being misled.
The price they quoted me for the trial period differed greatly from what I was charged. You think you're paying one price, then it turns out you're paying double. I actually liked the food, and thought at the advertised price it would be a good deal. But I was charged like double the advertised price. Again, the food is great, but their business model depends on charging you more than you thought.
I bought 3 meals for 2 on Groupon for $29. I had to go to the website to use the Groupon but they never credited me for my Groupon and charged me full price for the meal. And then they charged me for a second order that I never received. I canceled me subscriptions online but it was reactivated by their "chat" customer service agent without my permission. Do not order from them.
Answer: I signed up and realised its a scam - your first order is only able to be placed 2 weeks away, meaning they get your money even if you use a coupon... and from other reviews they won't let you cancel. I just registered a voucher, saw the dates and tried to cancel... and can't - there is no "cancel" on their website
Answer: You will still have to pay for delivery and such because this company says those things cannot be covered by a gift card. Beware signing up, because they will subscribe you as soon as you enter credit card information. It is in their Terms and Conditions at the beginning of the process.
Answer: You're automatically on auto ship…any week you don't overtly cancel will get sent out and you'll get charged.
Answer: Nor really. They will want to give you a partial refund of the single ingredient you found to be of poor quality... and that's if you want to take the time to navigate the website to find out how to do it. Their website is totally designed to make customer service difficult.
